Watson’s Chocolates

Sponge candy is good, I’ve never had it so it was a refreshing surprise. I’m a turtle girl and usually grade chocolate boutiques on their Turtle selection. So…, They were decent, the most delicious turtle I have ever had the delectable honor of eating is from Annedore’s in Kansas City…
However, the fudge, here, wow… The ‘apple praline’ is so creamy, nutty, caramelly, and perfect for the Autumn season. Wow. Like an apple pie in each bite. Try the fudge! I’ll be back.

I was looking for nice, small (okay, looking for cheap) gifts to bring back. My mom recommended Watson’s chocolates since I was looking for sponge candy. They sell gift packs of 4 pieces of sponge candy for between $ 2.30−2.75 (it’s based on weight). They have a wide variety of candies in orange, milk and dark chocolates. I’m not a huge sponge candy fan. I ended up also getting orange chocolate fudge and milk chocolate pretzels. The fudge is something like $ 11.99 or $ 13.99 a pound, but it is excellent. It’s not overly sweet like most fudge is, but has a smooth, creamy taste. They also have a lot of chocolates in adorable molds. For $ 30, I was able to get gifts for 7 or 8 people. Despite being bumped around a lot during travel, everything was able to keep well except the pretzels which crumbled a little.
Oh, and the store is extraordinarily clean and the service was great! A ridiculous amount of free parking all around the store with easy access on and off the Boulevard.

The COCONUT CLUSTERS are #1 — just exquisite! Super soft that just melt in your mouth. The Krispy Clusters are my #2. The sponge candy that they are known for is not my cup of tea but it may be yours.
The staff at this location are very nice to all their customers.
Make sure you stock up early before any of the holidays as they sell out quickly on the more popular items.
