After a brief stop at Niagara Falls on the New York side, we decided to stop at the outlet shops because we had some extra time. And, by «we,» I mean the wife made me drive her here, so she could shop. You know what they say, «happy wife, happy life.» After dropping her off at the entrance for a head start, I parked the car and entered the mall. After seeing all the clothes stores when I entered, I couldn’t believe it when I saw the Lindt store! The only ones I’ve seen were in Canada and in Los Angeles, places I’m rarely at. Lindt chocolate is one of my favorite brands(Kinder is still my favorite). To be able to see some rare flavors not seen in my local grocery store is good enough, but to be able to customize your own bag, is even better! I didn’t have to buy full bags just to try a particular flavor. I ended up buying a few bags, all with a special Jamie mix. I have to admit, even after a buy a half-pound, get a half-pound free deal, it was still expensive. But, you have to pay for quality and Lindt chocolate is DEFINITELY quality. Money well spent.

How can you not give a chocolate shop 5 stars? I went to the outlets last night with some friends and around 8:30 we were hankering for some sweets after hitting the food court for dinner. Walking inside this store is like a little flashback to Charlie and the Chocolate factory. SO many pretty chocolates everywhere, at prices that don’t even compare to those in regular stores. There are so many different kinds to choose from, and for holidays they have specialty chocolates like last night they had Jack-O-Lantern milk chocolates. My personal favorite is the milk chocolate with sea salt, YUM. The associate, Sarah, was so helpful and happy to help us even though it was close to closing time. Whether you just want 1 – 2 pieces like we did, or 100, the prices are cheap for fine chocolate and there’s something for everyone!

Yummm… This is a cute little shop filled with pretty little wrapped chocolates! The sales clerks give out samples while you’re shopping which is great. It’s an expensive store though — the little truffles they sell are $.50/each unless you buy an entire pound of them(for $ 14/lb)… I saw the same exact Lindt truffles at a drug store the next day for $.39/each. Still, if you’re shopping at the Outlet Mall and need a quick sweet treat, stop in! They also have a customer loyalty program, the super friendly sales clerks can help you sign up easily.
