The Bunk House Country B&B

A truly amazing property, surrounded by the gently rolling hills of Nicasio and the quiet, cool evenings that make Marin County an oasis for city mice like me. Once inside, you’re welcomed by the owners’ appreciation for cowboy kitsch and homey komfort, an appreciation I wholeheartedly share. The upstairs loft makes the house feel open for socializing yet being in your own space (good for a reunion of friends — sleeps five). The kitchen was great, with amazing vintage dishes and an old-​time country stove. We made an apple pie and a three-​course meal — so no need to go out for dinner, ya hear. Can’t say enough good things about this unique place — from the sweet, straight-​forward owners to the many beasts wandering about (cats, horses, cows) to the lovely soap that the owner makes herself (I’m still using it in my shower at home) — this is a place to which I will surely return. In fact, they do weddings in their big barn here, so I might have to get a jug band together and get hitched real soon. Thank you, Liz and Bruce!
