Specialties

Scott Craig and Susan McCall specialize in teaching Taekwondo to children, teens and adults. They are both Master Instructors and have been teaching Martial Arts together for 25 years. They teach classes in three basic age groups. The first age group is 5 – 8 years old. The next age group is 9 – 12 years old. The last group is teens and adults. Everyone is invited to try a class and see if they like the program. Each class has a good balance of hard work and fun. The classes have a structured curriculum featuring fitness, discipline, respect and Martial Arts training.

Their mission is to improve the confidence, self-​esteem, focus and lives of children, teens and adults through the teachings of Martial Arts.

History

Established in 1984.

Scott Craig and Susan McCall have each trained and taught Martial Arts for more then 25 years. They have been located at Normandy Park Recreation Center since 1995. Together to date they have trained 74 students to the level of Black Belt and 100% of those Black Belts of age, have attended college.

Business Owner

Both Scott and Susan are Master Instructors. They both have a 4^th Dan Black Belt in Taekwondo WTF and 3^rd Dan Black Belt in Korean Karate WTA. Each has represented Washington State successfully at the United States Taekwondo National Full Contact Tournaments. In addition both teach Hapkido, Wrestling, Grappling, Boxing, Judo, Kickboxing and Kali. Their curriculum gives Seattle Taekwondo Academy a well rounded base for self-​defense.
