History
Established in 2004.
We started as a science project for our 4 daughters. We began with 8 taps and boiled on the BBQ grill. The schools got interested and the next year we built a small sugar shack. After 2 years, and over 800 visitors, we decided to build a large sugar house that would provide a safe, clean and suitable environment for larger groups. Since being in the new sugar house (2007) we have educated over 6,700 visitors.
This is not our full-time job, but we dedicate a tremendous amount of time to making this a unique resource for the community. We sell our products to help offset our costs, and we appreciate the support of those who «buy local». Local agriculture is so important to bringing food to our table, and our roots in New England run deep in agriculture.
Many families have stated how we are allowing them in their busy lives to still keep touch with those roots. As children walk in, they experience the sights, smells and sounds… and those memories will last forever.
