Again I find myself responding to a comment made by the business owner. She stated that sometimes when the gold is tested, it does not hold up so they don’t buy it. Well… of course… and I would not blame her. BUT they NEVER TESTED MY GOLD. The person I dealt with said she could tell «just by looking at it» that it was not 18 karat gold. If SHE HAD tested it and found it wanting, that would have been differant. I thought it odd at the time that she would not even test it. When the item was brought to a differant jeweler, it WAS TESTED and was geniune 18 Karat gold. I have nothing more to say on the subject. I just won’t do business with Lucente. Make up your own mind. No… I do not work for a competitor. I DID give another jeweler a positive review. but thats because he deserved it. Don’t believe me? Go to his store; you won’t find me working there.

I came into Lucentes interested in selling old family jewelry… But was struggling parting with some pieces that held sentimental value. The owner, Susan, not only gave me a great price for the scrap (better than the two other places I checked out prior) but also helped me to design a beautiful ring that incorporated some of the gems from my family’s jewelry. I will cherish it and pass down to my children. Thank you, Susan for a great experience. I highly recommend Lucente’s!

I went to Lucente on the recommendation of a friend and was very satisfied with my experience. I had some gold to sell and I went to 3 other places first. Lucente gave me a lot more than I was going to get at all 3 other places. The owner, Susan, also told me that some of my pieces were 18K when the other places said they were 14K.
I would do business with them anytime!

The woman who says she is the owner, I think it was Marian? is arrogant and obnoxious. Tried to sell gold there and they offered of what the next jeweler offered. Shady and unprofessional are the nicest words I can come up with for this place.

My first trip? Customer service was so wonderful, I’d have written a different review.
My second trip back to have a second look at a wedding band, I was BEYOND HORRIFIED and EMBARRASSED when Francine passed my heirloom, 6 carat engagement ring over to laugh at the «creative» guard I’d need to attach, as it’s an 11, and I’m a 6. The owner assured me no end that while my FAMILY JEWELER who won’t touch it without remaking it due to the delicacy of a more than 100 year old ring, she absolutely could. They both were condescending, arrogant, and so unbelievably rude I will NEVER set foot in there again.
Customer service lesson ladies: Should you find the need to belittle someone’s engagement ring, for any reason, have the decency to keep your mouth shut until they leave the store.
I was looking for what would have become ‘our’ jeweler — THIS clearly isn’t it.
