Café Teramo is a fantastic Armenian Italian style European bakery that can be found hidden behind the Conroy’s Florist at Coldwater and Victory Boulevard in North Hollywood. This amazing bakery makes birthday cakes, anniversary cakes, fruit pies, fruit tarts, fresh cookies made daily, Hot & Cold Drinks and specialty items as well as providing a complete range of imported pastries from Italy (BINDI). The BINDI range is a wonderful collection of completely Italian products that include over fifty different types of Italian cakes.

The staff are the most helpful, lovely, kind women ever! We went in one night looking for sweet treats and couldn’t make up our mind about what we wanted. They took the time to explain all the little cakes to us. We really enjoyed the chocolate pyramid (a mousse maybe) and a triple chocolate thing that had multiple colors to it and had a plastic wrapper around it.

I have a love hate relationship with Teramo Café. I love their imported Bindi deserts, love that they’re open until 9p and the girl’s behind the counter are great too but I hate their prices. The prices here have always been higher than all the other bakeries in the area and Bindi deserts aside, there is not much that sets it apart from the other bakeries in town… sorry Teramo :-/​but as long as you keep importing the Bindi deserts and are open late I will continue to hate to love you.

I’ve tried this place a few times (more like 6 or 7) and I always have a long wait inbetween visits. I think I just forget how bad my experience was the previous times.
Good items: Macaroons and Cookies. I even shared them with co-​workers.
Not so good items: Cakes! I keep getting them because they look absolutely delicious, but every single time I purchase anything with cake, the cake is VERY dry. :(I bought 2 mouse/​cake and bird milk cake today. Took no more than 2 bites of each and tossed them.
Please take more consideration of your baking. It is all very beautiful, but more detail to baking is definetely needed.

This place is an amazing find. What makes it so great?
1) Customer service (Malvina was sweet, informative, and personable. I had a lot handful questions and she answered them attentively and patiently.)
2) Wide selection of desserts (Cakes, custards, mousse, macarons, etc.)
3) Individual and party sizes ready to go
4) Sweet but not sickeningly sweet (I had a cannoli, a middle eastern custard, and macarons… Ohhhh, the macarons! I’m getting excited just thinking about them. What I LOVE about these is they’re filled-​some places skimp on the filling and that’s just not the case at Café Teramo. Secondly, there’s fruit glaze that not only adds decorative appeal, it actually adds to the overall taste. There are a bunch of pictures on Unilocal already, just know it serves more than one purpose.)
Needless to say I can’t wait to go back. MMmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmMMMmm…

I was craving macaroons, Unilocaled this little spot! Close to home. Hermine was my helper super sweet super helpful lady (I was asking tons of questions). I have yet to try these little macaroons. The price was ideal and they have so many different types of desserts –Italian and Armenian! thanks guys!

When you walk in it’s like dessert heaven! Slices of cakes, whole cakes, pastries, cookies, candy, kinder chocolate, etc. I got the Napoleon cake, kievsky cake & tiramisu. Out of the three the Napoleon was my fav. It’s not overly sweet, it’s nice and flaky, creamy and buttery. It’s very light & the perfect dessert. The kievsky cake was good not too sweet I love the meringue and hazelnuts. The tiramisu was my least favorite it was kind of bland. I Definitely recommend this place for yummy desserts.

Excellent pastries. I keep coming back they have a variety of selection of pastries to select from and it is definitely a place to go to if you’re in a rush. Friendly staff Marianna and Leanna offered great customer service. Highly recommend please come and check it out.

We have been coming to Teramo since the place opened up, we live three blocks away. The last two times I got our sweets I was defenetly not satisfied. First was the roulette (chocolate). Took it home opened it up, dry dry dry. If im paying $ 15.00 for a simple roulette, the least I want it to be at least eatable. We dumped it. And the privius time before this was a similar situation. Our house rule is everyone makes mistakes, so we don’t automatically judge, if this happens 1 more time to us, then I will not go back there because we all know we have lot of choices and take our business someplace else.

I’ve had the worst tasting desserts at this bakery. They all look very professional and delicious but don’t taste the way they look at all. I’ve tried 5 different desserts and I really couldn’t decide which one tasteD worse. No flavor at all. The tiramisu was more like a plain flavorless Armenian style cake. suggestion: put more effort into baking and less to the design of those desserts. I’m really dissapointed.
And as mentioned by others the staff is really rude and lie about the quality and taste of their desserts :(

Okay I had the macaroons today and suddenly had a change of heart. I now put this place at 3 stars instead of 2. I had the pistachio, chocolate and the vanilla. They were all good but the pistachio was the best!
