For as bomb diggity as Felicia La Tour is, I’m shocked she doesn’t have any other reviews yet. Let me break that cycle right now.
Picture it: Sicily, 1947…
Hahaha just kidding! Gotta love Sophia Petrillo! Anyhow, it was earlier this summer and I was in full Hollywood Carnival prep mode (costume, boots, workout, face jewels, etc). After multiple failed attempts at mimicking YouTube videos, the one thing I was beyond nervous about was my makeup. I swear I looked like Bozo the Clown… on crack. That was my sign that I needed a pro.
I knew that because I was looking for a particular look with bold colors and jewels it wasn’t going to be cheap. But because I really only needed my eyes done, I surely wasn’t willing to break the bank either. After searching Unilocal and suggested Mac makeup counters, everyone else was way over my budget ($ 90-​$ 300!!!) or wasn’t available before 10am. I stumbled upon Felicia’s Unilocal page and contacted her via the online form on her website. She swiftly replied back answering all my questions. Her quote fit my budget, she could do a half face (eyes, brows, no foundation), she would come to my house, and was able to meet at 8am on a Saturday. Winner winner, chicken dinner! Felicia was super sweet, professional but not uptight at all. She was friendly and we chatted like long lost buddies the entire time. The best part about hiring Felicia was when I looked in the mirror when she was done. WOW!!! Hate to toot my own horn but I was gorgeous! Everything from the jewels to the shadow colors and blending to the lashes and brows. I mean it was a far cry from my DIY attempts. The end result was worth every penny — see my pics!
Most of what I saw in Felicia’s online portfolio was film/​set, celebs, red carpet, wedding, or glamour makeup looks. My look was completely different, not something she does everyday. But if I was this happy with my Carnival look, I will fully entrust her for any of my future makeup needs and highly recommend her. Thank you, Felicia!
