Skyline Helicopter Tours

Skyline Helicopters treated us like royalty and we had one of the best nights in Vegas on the strip tour.

We did the 15-​minutes Vegas Strip tour. The trip was memorable for sure. But that’s not because of Skyline, it’s the awesome view of the strip itself.
As for Skyline, I felt that the service was subpar. They definitely need more friendly folks to face the customers.
Also, we booked an appointment, but they basically use the appointment time as a general customer traffic control instead of actual fixed appointment. So you are basically in the queue waiting for the next available flight regardless what time you are booked.
As for the flight itself, it was quite short. I timed it. The flight time was 11 minutes only.
Given that there are many helicopter operators in the region, why pick Skyline?

Where to start… We had a wonderful experience at Skyline! My husband and I did the strip tour at night with the doors off! It was amazing!!! With the doors off I felt like we got a better experience, so I highly recommend doors off. I believe it was $ 40 more but it’s worth it! Would definitely do it again! It was a nice way for my husband and I to celebrate our 1 year wedding anniversary! And the staff is really nice! Thank you for a good time!

We had the best time! Our pilot AJ was amazing. It was a very smooth ride and we got up really close to Red Rock Canyon. We will definitely be back. Also thanks for the Pot Lickers recommendation! It was very good!

This was our first helicopter experience and it was probably the highlight of our trip. I got the groupon for the tour of The Strip and I thought everything went really smoothly. From booking to the end of the tour, I had no issues and everyone was really friendly and professional.
Like others have said, pay the $ 40 extra to get the doors off. I can’t imagine enjoying the ride half as much with the doors on. Plus, the pilot said it would’ve been really hot (for context, this was at night in late June, with temps around 100). If you get the doors off, know that it can get really windy. So girls, pull your hair back (they had hair ties). Even still, our hair was a bit tangly afterwards. Also, they sell plastic lanyard pouches for $ 3 to put your phone in. These go around your neck to keep your phone from, you know, flying out of the helicopter and possibly killing someone down on the ground. I said «sold» when they told me that little tidbit. If you get these, which I suggest you do, you’ll want to make sure to keep the plastic as flat as possible when taking videos and pictures. I have a bunch of photos that have some glare on them from the plastic.
The extras do add up but don’t they always (the $ 40 doors off, the airport fee, the lanyards, tipping the pilot). Plus it’s about a $ 30 cab ride each way from The Strip. I checked around to compare prices with other companies and it seems like they’re pretty much on par when you factor in all the different costs. However, I didn’t find any other places that offer the doors off option (they’re probably out there, though). In the end, I was really happy with this tour and wouldn’t hesitate to book a Red Rock tour on my next trip to Vegas!

We had a great strip tour with Skyline. A friend had a living social deal booked it as a surprise for our other friend’s birthday. All the employees were really nice and it was a very pleasant ride. We were not brave enough for the no doors option. We were all newbies to helicopter rides and this was a great first time experience.

Bought on groupon when I called in and made a appointment for the next day at 6:00 pm. The not to happy lady on the phone told me that I would have to cancel by 5:15 to not be charged. I called in around 4:30 thinking it would be fine. She informed me I would have to pay 50 $ to cancel. On groupon fine print it says 25 $? So I canceled calling back to make a new appointment again she tried to tell me by bullying me into thinking I would have to pay another 50. Not knowing the reason I needed to cancel these appointments. I told her this is not your personal number and you can’t treat people this way. She changed her tone when I explained to her sometimes people could be sick and this could be there dying wish and told her to be more professional. She gladly changed it with no charger but seeing as how not wanting to teach her again. I just let it go. Clearly this was an awful experience with no reward of going in the air. My husband and I had a fantastic tour of the Strip at night. It was our first helicopter ride and it was amazing. It was easy to book, check in was easy and our flight was right on time. The staff was very friendly. We will definitely book with Skyline Helicopter Tours again.

Great flight at night to see the Strip and Downtown. Price was great and very easy to get booked for a time. No haggle or pressure on anything upon check in and no long wait after check in to ride time. Went with my wife and 4 year old son who both enjoyed it also. Pilot was great and the ride was very smooth. Probably go back for the Red Rock tour during the day also. No haggles or upselling you would normally expect on a tour.

We had an incredible tour of Red Rock and the Strip. Like most of the reviewers, we did the doors off option (+$ 40, worth it!) to get a more open experience. As it was Las Vegas and in the 70s, it never occurred to be just how cold it could be flying 800 ft up with the door off a helicopter. That’s perhaps my only complaint — and not really one against the company. I suppose if it was the usual 90+ degree day, it wouldn’t have been as bad. But at 72 or so, my girlfriend and I froze from the wind!
Other than that, a truly exceptional experience! We got so close to the Stratosphere I could see the smiles on the people’s faces — so cool!
Overall strongly recommend — but if you’re going outside of May — September, wear pants and a sweater.

The best outcome ever. Dan and dean (owner & pilot) were absolutely wonderful. By far the best experience I’ve had in the air. Beautiful view of the horizon and strip. Breathtaking sunset… Couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Thank you and we will definitely be getting another tour next time we are in Las Vegas.

I purchased the sunset tour of the red rocks and the Las Vegas strip with doors off. The experience was great my brother and boyfriend enjoyed it however I am upset about the tour because instead of it lasting 40 – 45 mins like I was told it was only 20 – 25 minutes and due to the short ride we got to see everything in daylight. Our experience was kind of ruined by this. I wish it turned out to be better but definitely disappointed. Definitely not worth $ 325.00 if you’re not going to get your money’s worth. I will be contacting the office to a possible price adjustment here since my trip was only 20 – 25 mins and we didn’t get to experience the sunset/​night flight over the strip.

My husband and I did the tour for our honeymoon in Vegas. The staff is very friendly attentive and they explained everything in detail. The helicopter was clean well kept and very safe. Our pilot was very friendly and professional. It was an absolute pleasure and the activity we enjoyed the most. We are recommending the tour to everyone back home. Definitely worth it!

INCREDIBLE! Worth every penny… and 100% pay the extra money for the doors off. Beautiful way of seeing Vegas from that view. My boyfriend and I did the VIP sunset tour and it was one of the most breathtaking things I have ever experienced!!! Definitely suggest doing a tour, especially with this company! I purchased a helicopter tour on Living Social. It was easy to get ahold of this business and book a tour.
When we arrived we were encouraged to ride with the doors off. There is an extra fee to do so but it is worth it. I thought it would be scary because it was my first helicopter ride but it was not. The whole experience was very exciting.
Our tour was at 545. They tried getting us to book later but it was hard because we had other things planned. If you can book at sundown you will see the Strip when it is all lit up. We went a little early for that but it was still beautiful and my husband got awesome pictures. Red Rock is incredible. As a Florida girl this is something I have never seen before. I was mesmerized.
I would highly recommend them. I like that they were easy to reach, book and communicate with especially since we were coming from out of state. This was a great enhancement to our honeymoon.
