DOC & Louie’s Bar & Grille

Doc and Louie’s is a great little bar with a lot of character. I liked it here, though I felt a little bit like I was in trouble for being young and most definitely not a regular. The bartender had to ask my order and I think that that made everyone uncomfortable.
That said, it seemed like a fun crowd as the night went on. People started to loosen up and there was a lot of good people-​watching (there was a couple arguing by the bathrooms pretty audibly and while I don’t love scenes, yelling and drama, this was pretty entertaining).
The food was pretty standard greasy bar food. I had a fish sandwich that didn’t knock my socks off, but was definitely edible. The service was good and I don’t think that the bartender was too uncomfortable with us being new.
Something weird worth noting is the set up of the bar. You can sit along the back wall, though you’ll get trapped if you’re at the seat furthest in. This provides a great view of the place, though it will kind of feel like you’re on stage a bit, but when there’s something going on on the actual stage, you can see it all (including the rest of the spectators).
