Maui Wowi

A little pricey but their white chocolate mochas are very delicious.

I hate this place.
I went during the «Grand Opening» phase and I really expected a lot. Usually the employees and management are working hard during this time to attract customers and have them keep coming back. But what I got instead was a big mess.
I walk in and there is no acknowledgment from the employees. They weren’t doing much and saying hi would have been nice. I went up to the register and the lady says «aloha!», which is pretty cute. And just when I thought things would turn around, I was interrupted by one the workers and needed to talk to the register lady right when I was ordering. She stepped away and came back five minutes later to take my order. Simply wow.
The drink? Eh… Nothing really interesting. It felt like the run of the mill smoothie that you can get anywhere. Costco. next door has better smoothies that this.
And to put the cherry on top, it seemed that the owner or manager was having an argument with another person of Maui Wowi authority. Are you kidding me? It’s a grand opening! Take it somewhere else!
For the price and experience, I’ll never come back here. Never ever. ever ever.

It was decent, but definitely overpriced for what it was. I’ve come here a few times, and every time it’s tasty, just not $ 5 tasty for a small smoothie or coffee.
I bought a pound of Kona coffee and it was delicious! And i believe it was about $ 35.00, which isnt cheap for an lb of coffee, but the coffee shop i work at sells it for $ 50.00 lb. Ridicccc. (With my discount it comes out to be $ 35.00 anyway, but i wanted to try something new.)
I think the thing i like the most about Maui Wowi is the look of the place. It has a really nice feel to it and i feel like i’m in Hawaii. And all of the people who work there were really nice. The first time i went it was when they were BRAND new and no one really knew what they were doing, so it took my boyfriend and i about 10 minutes to get 2 small drinks. But we went back a while later to see if it got better, and it did.
It’s not my coffee or smoothie place of choice because it’s nothing special, however sometimes it just hits the spot.
