So, there’s that big ol’ Korean market in Northridge that my wife and I visit fairly regularly for things like nori, katakuriko, udon, kimchi, and other things that we don’t find at the local Ralph’s. We have been going here for a long time, but this was the first time we went in to eat in the food court. All the restaurants in the food court there have their names in Korean, so if they didn’t have that business card with their name in English, I would never have known what to call this place. Anyway, we ordered the #26: Bean Sprout Bibimbap. Service was fairly quick, and the bibimbap looked and smelled delicious. It came in that stone bowl that is SUPERHOT and it makes the rice all crispy and yummy. The sides of daikon kimchi, chijimi(I think), and fried tofu were all great. The soup was… kinda bland… but easy to drink. Then there was the bibimbap. I actually really enjoyed it, but the wife said she tasted something chemical and stopped eating it all together. She would have given the place a 1 star cause she hated it cause of that taste. I didn’t notice the taste she was talking about until after eating it. There was something odd about it, maybe old oil or something. But while I was eating it, it was good. Too much for one person though. I just thought the image was funny. The Asian girl sitting looking disappointed while the white guy chowed down on the random Asian food. Anyway, doesn’t look like I’ll be coming back here cause the wife didn’t like it, but it was decent IMHO. Give it a shot. Your millage may vary.
