I walked in here without an appointment and was pleased with the clean, uncluttered, professional lobby. A lovely man named Ryan immediately greeted me and asked how he could help me out. He patiently listened to my long spiel about moving from NYC and the crap place I was currently at for storage. Once I wound down he asked me a few simple questions about my storage needs and we were on our way to see a unit.
The storage area was clean and the unit size he chose to show me was exactly what I needed. He explained the costs and a few deals I could get and I was sold.
I cannot stress how amazingly informed and personable Ryan was. I felt like I had a family member there looking out for me. He’s also really funny. I feel he reads people well and can probably make every type of person feel welcome and they made the right choice going to So Cal Self Storage.

Just submitted a quote online this morning around 8:45am and by 9:45am, Ryan the Asst Manager called, reserved my unit, and will be ready to meet me this afternoon. If that’s not AWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE i don’t know what is.
UPDATE: i came over around 5:05PM since it rained hard in the afternoon, met with Ryan and he let me know the facility closes at 6PM. Instead of signing me up today, and charge me one day without using the locker, he advised me to sign up tomorrow instead and take advantage of the whole day. Way to go Ryan, who does that anymore? Such a stand up guy indeed. Friends, the facility is A+ and staff here including Ryan are awesome. I highly recommend this place instead of Public Storage :)

I have never been to a storage location but decided to come here for the reasonable prices which I happened to find online. Upon entering I was greeted by Ryan who works there. He instantly made me feel at ease. And he worked with me to find me the type of storage unit that would suit my needs. He was extremely helpful and very friendly. I am so happy I came here and very content with my storage unit. It is the right size thanks to Ryan! The place is very clean and is safe! I would totally recommend this to anyone who is interested in storage needs!!!

I have been a customer of Socal Self Storage (Northridge) for over 3 years and I have been extremely satisfied with both their service and their exceptional customer care! Although, I probably should feel happy knowing that I no longer have a need for a storage service, but in actuality I am very sad to be leaving because of the friendship that I established with both Mario and Ryan. Every time I needed to stop by my storage, I was always greeted with a smile and genuine conversation. In today’s business world it is rare when you meet «genuine» people like Mario and Ryan who not only care about the customers, but also care about building a positive relationship with them as well. As a result of my positive experience at Socal Self Storage (Northridge), if I ever have a need for a storage unit, Socal Self Storage is the only company that I will ever consider using going forward. This review is super late but better late than never. My husband and I recently got married and are in the process of looking for our first family home. We have accumulated so much stuff so we needed a storage. I inquired around but SoCal storage Northridge had the nicest person answer the phone which was Ryan. He was so great and friendly. He was the one that truly made us pick this facility. Not only are the people nice but the facility is awesome as well. If you ever need a storage please go to this place and ask for Ryan. He will assist you in any way he can. Thanks again Ryan!

Ryan Doyle is such a sweetheart! The best service I’ve seen in Los Angeles. Space is ventilated and extremely clean. Highly recommended.

Ok, I never thought I’d be writing a review about self storage but I had to.
Recently I found myself in a situation where I had to immediately move out of my house and consequently needed to find a place to put my stuff. Normally I’d have gone to one of the other name places but, I found this gem of a place.
Not only did So-​Cal have exactly what I needed but the units are climate controlled.
Now, the reason for the 5 stars. Customer service!
The manger, Mario, is probably one of the coolest, most accommodating, and understanding people I’ve met in this industry. He worked with me to get a rate that worked for me, and not only got me the best deal but a unit that worked for me (for a price that was considerably less than other places).
If you’re in need of storage, seriously go here!

Storing my stuff with this company was awesome! The 2nd month rent was free. Easy, quick, and friendly service. Glenn in the office helped me sign-​off when moving out. He was very fast, attentive, friendly, polite, and ready to help and answer any questions I had, and offered me free water. Great location for CSUN students who want to store their stuff over the summer, and just an overall good facility to store your things in general.

This is one of the BEST facilities to use. I have used storage facilities in times past; but this one was different… there was a Gentleman named Ryan Doyle who just went above and beyond what I could have asked for. His kindness, professionalism, and just overall compassion was impeccable! He is someone, should you need storage and a really big Smile and definitely kind words, to ask for by name… tell him Tongie sent you.

I had a unit at this location for years and they were wonderful from start to finish!
They are friendly and helped me whenever I needed anything.
The prices are comparable to other locations but the units are climate controlled so you don’t have to worry about heat or outside contaminations.
The only reason I ended my rental there was that I moved to a home with more storage space.
I Highly recommend SoCal Self Storage Northridge. Great people there.

I’ve had my personal heirlooms in Sc Cal Self Storage in Northridge for over a decade and this company is miles above any other I’ve experienced. The facility is super clean, smells new, and incredibly secure when closed. The people are intelligent, helpful and responsive, David, Ryan and all the others are just great to talk to and if you have some issue or other, that you need help with, you need only ask once.
I like the fact that the halls have names, (like street names). You cannot get lost. I’ve been late getting things done on more than one occasion and no-​one every charged me anything, over and above the monthly. When i phone after hours the voice mail has always been for that facility, it just says push a button to leave a message for the manager. So Cal Self Storage is the finest in my opinion and I’ve had ten years of service from them.

I moved into this location a few weeks ago.
PROS: new facility, super clean, climate controlled, great music! David, the manager is great, staff very responsive
CONS: only open between 8−6pm or so. I had to pay $ 25 per half hour that we were past 6 when I moved in, So not good if moving from outside the area. Their phone system is funky, it rolls over to other facilities rather then to their vm, which necessitates a longer conversation.
I am giving a 4 because overall pleased. I went in yesterday to drop off a few more things and the AC wasn’t where it needed to be. The girl said she’d let David know and get it adjusted. I thought to myself, «yeah right». But, sure enough he called me a couple hours later to let me know it had been addressed. Now that was good customer service!
I know the facility is new, so think most of the kinks have been worked out, so giving it a 4 star rating!

Love these guys at So Cal Storage! Most storage places are pretty dingy and yucky. Not usually something a person looks forward to dealing with. But I must tell you these guys are not only super professional, they are incredibly kind and giving! Ask for David or Ryan. You will love love love them. Great security, too. Oh and they GIVE you bottled water, especially on hot days! 2 thumbs up, 5 stars, etc :)

Self storage? I just drove 25 miles to get into my storage unit and no one showed up for work. It’s Sunday at 10:15 and the place is locked up although they open at 9. I’ve been waiting for over an hour now and left voicemails to the empty office. There are other people waiting too. Ridiculous. Make your own judgement, but I’ll be moving my stuff if I can ever get to it.

Car Enthusiast here. I have a fully restored 1963 Austin Healy 3000 MKII and prefer to keep it away from ANYTHING that could scratch it, degrade the paint (like heat/​humidity), etc.
I shopped around the valley and found that this was by far the most economical solution for high-​end storage. I’m paying $ 10/​mo less than anyone else and they delivered on my vintage auto storage needs.
Thanks guys! I’ll be referring my car club this summer!

David helped us during our 2 week moving process. He was available anytime during the day for any of our questions.
Our entire office fit nicely in one of their outside units. Driving up to our unit was easy and it was nice to know that we had extra security with gated entry.
So Cal Self Storage was easy to find and is our number 1 choice for storage. I told a few of my friends about this place, and they have been storing their possessions here for over a year.

Have to give 5 stars to this establishment! Their staff is extremely professional, their security system is well above the industry norm, and they have air conditioned units. If your running late, they will have someone remain on-​site (it only happened once), but I was extremely thankful and appreciated their assistance.
