Toys R Us

This store is always a disaster, out of stock and the staff is extremely disengaged. On a positive note! It is the best place to complete your returns that all other stores have declined. If they attempt to decline, just say that you will call the Corporate Hotline to complain (800−869−7787 Option #6, Option #5). This will usually work. If not, follow through and call to Customer Service, they will have the store manager, district manager or director call you back with in 24 hours «Upon your request» (hint, hint). If you don’t hear from someone in 24 hours, call customer service back! On a side note: Don’t forget to express your frustrations on the survey attached on the top of your receipt. Surveys will only be given for purchases over $ 5 dollars and you get a second one, when you return that same item. Regional staff is constantly reviewing poor survey scores and will reach out to the Store Managers to find a solution (including calling customers back to appease them). If all else fails, you can request a call from the District Manager, Region Director or Vice President. I am confident this store does not want any of this to happen.

This place is very very expensive. Unless you need a specialty item or something small not worth the shipping and handling you can get everything for 50% off on Amazon. Nursing covers were 40 $-60 here at Toys R Us. $ 15 on Amazon.
Also I returned 2 Avent nipples which were $ 6(outrageous) I paid cash and they insisted on seeing my Drivers license and putting All my info in their computer. They assured I would not be put on any mailing lists but I smell Bs. Why else would they want all your info for a cash return?!
Avoid this place unless it’s a specialty item or you have lots of money to waste.

I tried to buy something online for a store pick up. It says it was available at the store. Prior to placing my order, I had tried calling the store twice. No body picked up literally for 30 min. No one answered. Since it said it was available I placed my order and said that I can pick up my order within 1 hr.
Excited about the item I had bought for my son, I got missed phone call and a voicemail stating that I needed to cancel my order because they did not have it.
I called again and after 10 min someone actually picked up tried to explain the situation, that person cut
Me off and said she was gonna transfer me. Finally got a hold of the person that left a message he told me to cancel my order because it would be negative on their store?!? Really?
I asked to be transferred to a manager she told me that they were short staff. And the whole time I’m speaking to her she was speaking to someone else in the background.
Very bad customer service!

There is a guy called (ALEX) working in Toys r us who is extremely rude towards customers.
I went in to exchange an helicopter, he raised his voice and was extremely rude to me!
This happened in the Porter Ranch Toys r us.
Toys r us should terminate his employment there, Alex is good to be working in Mc Donalds where customers cant see him in my opinion.
Its a shame that Toys r us employs people like this !

Terrible corporate policy, I have a $ 22 gift card /​store credit and would like to purchase 2 $ 50 gift cards And use my gift card against the purchase so I would be adding $ 78 to the purchase .This is a no no corporate policy so I guess I’m stuck with a $ 22 credit and will purchase my 2 gift cards elsewhere. They could not even add $ to my existing card makes no sense bad business

Went for force Friday and after waiting for a good 4 hours in line and then telling us that they’re stocked up pretty good, I go in, I was in 16^th place and everything is gone and they said what they had at the moment was what’s left, so basically lied. I got one thing because I didn’t want time to be wasted. Kinda bummed me out the fact that you had to lie and really not bring more stuff out toys r us…

I was missing pieces in a kitchen set and David L. and a few other guys here helped open up another one to give me what was missing instead of unassembling & returning! Thank you so much for your help! Excellent customer service.

They have a Babies R Us section too. Well kept store especially when kids are touching almost everything.
At checkout I asked for a gift box. The salesperson politely pointed out where I can purchase one. Don’t stores give out gift boxes for free anymore?
I then asked for a bag for the items I bought. The salesperson politely said they are out and pointed to the bags I can purchase to put them in (Uh-​no)
Nice store but little things like bags and gift boxes should be kept in stock.

I have been disappointed each and every single time I’ve been here. The store is always a mess, you can’t find associates to help you and the place is dusty and dirty.

My toddler’s tennis shoes literally started disintegrating inside after only 6 weeks of wear. The manager refused to let me exchange or return them even though there were visible blisters on my baby’s toes from the shoes. So, basically, I wasted $ 20. The manager offered me nothing. I was disappointed with the managers refusal to do anything. I’ve spent thousands of dollars there, had my baby registry there, etc. horrible experience!

Probably the worst customer service ever. I don’t know what is up with the Toys R Us and Babies R Us company itself, but it seems like they tend to hire disgruntled employees at every location.

I have not been to a Toys R Us since 2007 when I brought my daughters there. Now my grandson wanted a «coloring book and said can we go to toys R Us?
Pop Pop is a push over so, yea we went in.
Some $ 50 dollars later he has a full Iron man costume, the coloring book was out the dwindow lol.
This location has great shelf work by the employs. Everything is fronted and it looks full, and well, it is full.
The store was clean and easy to navigate, its not the holiday season so ts not a train wreck.
We looked thru the Cars land toys, then legos and finally to the costumes; it was between Hulk and Iron Man he has not taken the Iron Man suit off yet… it is after 8PM now, and we were there at lunchtime. I would call that a good investment!
The check out seemed to have a long line and when I decided to take a pictures to post here, they brought in a couple more checkers and we got right up there and got done.
Wish the grocery store would do that!

This toys r us/​babies r us does not pride itself with customer service. They don’t have a wide selection as it is a dual purpose store but it serves my needs when I need something.

I think their business model is significantly outdated and they are milking time using name recognition to get by.
This particular location seems to be stocked well with inventory. I came here looking for a toy that is considered hard to find and was able to locate it. That’s the great aspect of Toys R Us, they carry all sorts of things, hard to find things etc.
The prices are the biggest shortfall of Toys R Us. They are now competing with companies such as Walmart, Target and of course
. Toys R Us is the most expensive of those I listed.
In my opinion, you pay for the convenience of everything being in one place. Toys, bikes, dolls, video games, sports equipment, pool toys and accessories, musical instruments etc.
Casheirs have always been kind and welcoming, however the parking situation is not so welcoming. They compete with stores around them and so at times you have to drive around a few minutes to find a spot.

Never going back again!
I went there with my grandparents and my babies. As soon as I walked in had a cashier rudely look me up and down. She got on the phone and seemed to be watching where ever we went threw out the store. I thought maybe I was paranoid, however went back a week later for an exchange and to buy a few more things. Same cashier and same attitude. I went with my husband and babies this time, we had workers check on us but not as if we needed help.
Could tell that one guy was loss prevention following us. Made me and my husband so uncomfortable we hurried up did our exchange and purchases. Had another moody chick to deal with. Only one nice person seems to work there. Wish I got his name always kind and greeting customers.

Pricey but I love how they always have sales!

Marcus — he’s one of the managers there — is the GREATEST! I came in with a busted toy that happened to be my kid’s favorite … Long story short: Marcus totally helped me out and went above and beyond in the customer service department.
Lately, when I go in there, all the store employees are upbeat, happy, in a good mood and ready to help. That makes me want to shop :)

So many toys to choose from. Tons for kids big or small ;D They also have many events here & babies r us offers classes with giveaways & prizes!

Raul the manager is a jerk… He is scamming customers and the company with soon find out

I love Toys R Us, as a clown and a child at heart I find useful stuff here. The only reason I give it 4 stars is because they stopped carrying my beloved medium Zelfs! I collect those things and was very sad to see them go. :(Otherwise, great store, it not only has toys but tons of low priced dvds, games, and party favors.
