Very surprised by some of the negative reviews I see on Unilocal.I’ve been buying all my flowers here since I moved to Northville 2.5 years ago. I’ve always had positive experiences at Donna and Larry’s Flowers. Customer Service: Everyone I have talked to has always been very friendly and helpful. I have never felt like service was slow or poor. Even on Holidays, I have never had to wait long. Regarding delivery, all my flowers have showed up on time and looking as I expected. They also have a Golden Retriever who sometimes greets customers and helps out around the shop. Selection: I usually only give vague details about what I am looking for, and have them create an arrangement. My wife has always loved the flowers and selections they make. I feel very comfortable trusting them to make what I am looking for, without having to give too many details. Price: Price is very competitive with other flower places I have used. Usually I order for pickup, but the few times I have gotten delivery it was not very expensive. Overall: Very happy with Donna and Larry’s Flowers. They always have had good service and arrangements at a fair price. I am glad I found a small neighborhood shop for my flower needs.

Worst experience ever. My friend sent flowers as a surprise. Apparently I wasn’t home when they delivered. They left them with a neighbor, and supposedly a note on my door.(there wasn’t one) Well, 3 days later my friend asks if I enjoyed them. Having no idea what she was talking about. She called the store and Donna calls me and says I need to go get my flowers from Ann, my neighbor. Well, I don’t know Ann, I don’t know her address and I asked why 3 days after the fact, I am just hearing about this. Her reply, «you weren’t home and we left a note on your door but it must have blown off. go get your flowers». Am I supposed to go knocking on doors? I told her I just moved here, didnt know my neighbors and she says with full sarcasm«well, WELCOME to the neighborhood.» I still have no flowers, still don’t know where to go to find them(we live on 1.5 acre lots… I don’t really want to go knocking on neighbors doors to find my surprise gift 3 days after the fact. And furthermore, I asked if they could be delivered to me and she said no, that I am to go find them. So I said I was going to write them up and she said«you will NOT write us up». Wow. Wow. Wow. This, by the way, is my first time being motivated to post on any site what so ever. I can definitely see why they have 1.5 stars. I’d give 0 if I could.

Flowers were supposed to be delivered in the morning for my friends Birthday. Well, they didn’t arrive until late in the afternoon after she had gone home for the day. Thanks a lot for ruining my gift, I really do not appreciate your customer service of your crappy attitude after being called out for your apparent lack of service and failure to meet your obligations. Stay away from these guys, waste of time, money, and effort.

Nothing bad to say! The flowers were beautiful, my aunt loved them! The woman on the phone was friendly and helpful. Great flowers, great customer service… would definitely order again.

I regret I did not check here on Unilocal before ordering from this florist. While they did deliver on time today(and for that I am giving one star), the flowers used and the arrangement of the flowers were horrible. Really horrible. I am so embarrassed my dear friend received them as a gift.

I just got off the phone with Donna just now after placing an order. She is by far the most humble person in the world. She puts so much love into everything. I placed my order all the way from Florida. She walked me through every detail. She took excellent care of me. The service was so great that I had to let the world know. Thank you Donna for all your hard work and making my day.

Ordered flowers for mothers day and then they did not arrive till 7pm THEDAYAFTER mothers day. What’s more, when I called to complain the woman I spoke with gave me a huge 5 minute sob story about how one of their designers had called in sick and thats why the flowers were a day late. Interestingly, the delivery man had a different story for my mother. He said they simply had too many orders and not enough drivers. Finally, my credit card was charged a full 2 months after mothers day. At that point I figured they just had the decency to not charge me… guess I was wrong. Serious lake of integrity at this place.

Bad customer service. Have been receiving flowers from a relative on holidays for yrs from Donna & Larry’s. Always have an issue receiving them, since they don’t deliver after 5PM& we work. Recently Donna yelled @ us for expecting delivery after 5. When we tried to accommodate her schedule by providing an alternate delivery address in Northville for before 5 delivery, she still didn’t do it. Finally, 3 days after the 1st attempt, she left the flowers on our front porch. Will tell my relative to stop using Donna & Larry’s.

So disappointing. Paid $ 93 for an arrangement to be delivered for my parents for their anniversary. My mom opened it, all of the flowers fell out of the vase. My mom sent us a picture of it after she tried to put it back together. And it was not what we ordered even. We ordered orange orchids and they put green ones! The entire arrangement was green. No color. After a few phone conversations she wouldn’t give me my money back. But said she would fix it. I told her fixing it would be reimbursing me. She wont do it. She also never apologized or took ownership for a bad arrangement. its like she was blaming my mom for it. We try to support local businesses as much as possible. But I wish I would have used 1−800-flowers instead. Lesson learned I guess! I will never order from here again. Either will my parents. Smh

We used them for our wedding ten years ago. Donna is very nice, but their service was quite disappointing. The flowers were fine, but the value wasn’t. We asked for these decorative silver baloons with glitter painted numbers on them to mark the tables at the reception. When we arrived, they had used cheap baloons, and literally taped half-sheets of printer paper to their strings with numbers scrawled on them in sharpie pen. It was embarassing. I’ll never forgive them that.

Truth be told, we have never had any issues at this flower store with several years of patronage. I am surprised and sad to read the other reviewers poor experiences, especially since Donna works hard to accomodate her customers and make them happy with her products and service. Last night I needed a corsage last minute and I needed it stat. We totally won the award for dipsjits of the year, but with Donna’ s help we were able to come out a shining star. She created a beautiful corsage with roses and orchids at reasonable cost and with a non-existant heads up 30 minutes before close. I hail from the flower capital of the world, about 20 million flowers are sold at auction a day. so I am used to cheap flowers. I never paid more than $ 15 for a nice bouquet, and $ 2 – 5 for dailies(fresh flowers in every room, every day of the week: I miss it). My point is that I do not buy flowers very frequently as it kills me to pay American prizes, but when I do I get them here. They also have a bunch of positive reviews on Google, by the way.
