I’ve been going to Magic Auto Sound for almost 15 years and every car I’ve had during that time I brought here for either stereo installation or window tinting… However, lately It’s turned into a joke. The last few times I’ve gone to have things worked on, I had to prove they did the work. The customer service sucks and it’s like they don’t even want to do any work.
A few weeks ago I took my 1972 Cadillac Eldorado to the shop because the amps were out (amps they installed) they reluctantly fixed the issue after I found the installation paperwork.
I think management has changed and with the change in management has definitely come a change in the Customer Service. I don’t think I’ll be back here.

Place sucks! I was just there today and had a alarm installed, they cut my off road light wires, best believe I’ll be there tomorrow morning with the cops.

Two 2015 honda accords have been tinted here, one with the darkest tint & one with the medium and I seriously can’t complain! Both times it took less then 45 mins, felt like I was in and out. Typical men attitude though not social at all hahah just there to get the job done.
I after two cars I’d definitely come back here! The only reason it wasn’t a five star review is I was charged differently both times. One was 140 plus text with a 5 year warranty the next time was 152 plus tax.
But again tint looks great! Prefer this place over Whittier Tint shop!

Called in asking if they were able to take my car in for tinting and they were more than glad to get the job done. There were 4 – 5 men working on my car at once and I was out in less than 20 minutes and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome! Definitely will recommend !

I’ve had 4 cars (New Beetle, Volvo, Mazda6, Mini Cooper S) tinted here since 2000. The latter vehicle was done today and I’m super happy with the job and they were done in one hour. They’ve always been pleasant. I don’t know what people expect, you can’t be jolly 100% of the time. Don’t you all have bad days too? Jeez, give them a break, they work hard. None of my cars’ tints have ever peeled or bubbled. As recommended, use water only to clean and don’t roll down the windows for 2 days. I’m super cautious so I usually give it a few weeks. If you use anything other than water to clean, your tint may cloud or peel. As for double-​tinting, who does that unless you want drug-​dealer super limo dark? They already have a regular «limo dark» that doesn’t need double-​tinting so it’s anyone’s guess why double-​tinting is even requested. $ 140 with 5 year warranty, $ 160 with life-​time warranty and much thicker material, keeps inside cooler. I got the higher quality material on my Mazda & Mini. The lower one on the Beetle & Volvo, both were fine. Anyway, I highly recommend this place for tinting as I’ve been a satisfied customer for 15 years!

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! My husband took my car to get windows tinted, the tint in the 2 rear windows was peeling. They wanted to charge my husband an additional $ 20.00 (as of the $ 150.00 was not enough) because of the double tint in which they NEVER mentioned that they DO NOT, warranty a double tint by the way. Long story short… we walked out of there! and we will NEVER be going back. New management sucks, they do not know how to treat a customer or honor agreements.

I’ve been coming here for years. I get all my cars tinted for a really good deal. This time around I was visiting for my front window tint to be removed. It was only $ 15 and I got a free case for my phone just by checking in on Unilocal.The service was fast and friendly.

I have had them tint 5 cars for me. They are not welcoming or friendly but the work has always been good.

PLEASE READ THIS REVIEW!!! I was on of the guys that had the worst experience with «Ray» and swore I would never step foot in that place again. I had been going there for years and after new management I got in a big fight with that douchbag and haven’t been back since.
Now I just bought a new service truck and needed it alarmed right away cause my other truck had to go in the shop. I called atlas 10 places and no one could do it cause it was a saturday and a pretty big job. I decided after seeing they fired that guy on Unilocal to go there and see if they could help me out. When I arrived I was met pleasantly and explained what I needed and my urgency even tho they really couldn’t do it I think he seen my desperation and took the job on. They got the truck done with some extras I wanted and was there after they closed making sure I understood everything about the alarm.
I am now back to being a customer there and couldn’t be happier… Give them another chance you won’t regret it…

I’d love to update this review. So today I lowered my windows only to find out they messed up my entire drivers side window tint. They gave different excuses as to why they wouldn’t fix it. You guys have definitely lost my business.

Took my Prius there last summer to get tint all around and they did a great job, and at a very reasonable price. Unfortunately, I got a ticket for the tint (strangely, it was not a «fix-​it» ticket but a ticket where I had to pay a $ 197 fine and didn’t have to get the ticket signed off) so I recently took my car back to Magic Auto to have them remove the tint and put on the lightest shade. Again, came away very satisfied with the quality of work and the price.

How many one star rating review do you have to read to realize that you must avoid this place?
I’ve been coming here since 1997 for 10+ cars that my family have owned. But not anymore! The owner has changed in the beginning of this year and there is a new store manager — the fat Asian guy (Ray?) with an eyeglass who is RUDE and treats customers like dirt! Here is an example. I was talking to Ray about my future stereo purchase while my car was getting tinted, and suddenly he just walked away as I was still talking! He realized that I was not buying the stereo that day so he wasn’t interested anymore. How rude is that?! This guy is about the age of my son and just wanted to smack his face.
Here is another example. I called to make sure if I could come in for window tinting. It was about 3 PM Saturday. But I got there around 4:30 PM. Ray the Fat Bastard says it’s too late for tinting. They close at 7 PM. I told him I drove 30+ miles to get there. But he said too late. I was fuming and upset. As I was walking toward my car, one of the employees called me back and asked why I was leaving. I told him that the Fat Bastard said it’s too late to start the tinting. He said, it wasn’t too late and told me to drive my car into the work area for tinting. When it was done, it was not even 6 PM.
He will be nice to you in the beginning for a minute or two, but that’s about it. The workmanship may be OK for a while because I still see some familiar faces working there. But not for long. I hear that even other employees are complaining of this Fat Bastard rude. Once they leave, the store will have to hire newbs and the work quality will become questionable.
Why would you spend money at a place that doesn’t respect you?

5 months ago, I wrote a negative review due to the previous staff that is no longer working for them.
Since then, I have been dealing with Jae and the service level has turned back to the way it should be for the better.
Jae is the man over there and he has really stepped up and brought back the service that customers need. They recently installed another stereo, alarm, power locks, and HID’s and done an outstanding job. They have my won my business back and I will once again continue to refer new customers to them.

This place is terrible. This fat Asian guy is so disrespectful and lazy. He wanted to check the bulbs for my car because I was trying to purchase a set of HID lights. I pulled up got out the car and said to bring it closer. I’m like seriosly this is your shop, you need to bring yourself there and check it. He didn’t give me warranty for the lights because he said they are not installing it. He was suppose to give me warranty because the company of the HID lights provide it. Never go to this place. Bad service and disrespectful to there costumers.

I’m not much for writing review but when I do, its really something that grinds my gears
I’ve been going to this place for many many years and they «were» good about 9 cars plus a few referrals actually. I’ve never really had an issue with my tint until now. It’s true there is no such thing as «lifetime warranty». I guess before getting something done, make sure what the warranty covers.
I got my tint done, waited 4 days actually (they say 3 but waited 4) for the tint to properly cure and dry up. I was cleaning the window and there are some imperfections that I addressed. To make the long story short, they blame it for my car being old and has a lot of dust buildup or whatever even tho they try their best to clean it up.
I’ll eat up my lost and find another place next time so this place is off my list. Good luck y’all!!! Customer service goes a looooooooooooooong way but this place just wants your $$$$$.

I was referred to Magic Auto Sound by a friend who had gotten his 2014 Honda Civic Coupe tinted there a few months prior. I called Ray, who gave me a quote for my 2014 Honda Accord sedan at $ 100 for any shade of tint that I wanted and a lifetime warranty. I was extremely happy with this price as I had previously paid $ 550 for medium shade tint with a lifetime warranty for my 2012 Mazda 3 Hatchback at Xtreme Tint in Whittier.
I arrived at Magic Auto Sound, they began working on my car right away and I was out the door in about 45 minutes. Again, I’m very impressed as I have had to leave my previous cars at Xtreme Tint for several hours.

And especially tint. I came in for tint for my car. It was important to me to make sure to have something that’s dark enough to stay cool in the heat and look good, while not being illegal. Got great help and service as well as the price! I love the tint job, it looks great and does it’s job. I definitely recommend this place for anyone and their auto/​sound needs!

Been coming here for about 7+ years. Had all 4 of my vehicles done here, including my just purchased dodge ram 1500. I just got tinted today 7−21−14. Tints look good like always. It’s weird reading these negative reviews. I have never had any issues with these people or the work. All my vehicles have never had bubbles, haze, or glare etc. If you follow the rules given tint should be great for a while. Do not roll down your Windows for 9 hours (at least that’s what I do). Do not take windex to the inside or out side for at least two days. It’s really common sense. Yes they come off as rude, but grab your balls and speak up. Needless to say I’ve had nothing but good work done here and I will keep returning.

Magic Auto Sound is a family owned business that works together as a team to provide the best experience possible. Well at least that’s what they do for me and all the handful of people I’ve recommended that loved it there. (Keep up the good work guys!)
Talking from personal experience, no they do not try to rip you off, they will probably give you the best deal in town. No they do not force you into buying unnecessary upgrades, as a salesman’s job, they are implied to let the customers know of the best products on the market. No they are not some cheap Korean’s, the outrageous demands are probably coming from rude customers who don’t want to pay anything anyways.
Let me tell you about the real Magic Auto Sound I once knew and loved, which is no different from today. When I bought my first car, I went in to get a simple tinting job. They let me know that with the California sunshine and dangerous UV rays, it’s recommended to get their «higher end» tint. Sure, it is a bit pricier, but my car is going to stick with me for a while, so why not get the best possible bang for my buck. And to my surprise, it’s one of the best decisions I ever made for my car. I do not regret paying a single penny. Whenever people get in my car and feel the sudden coolness unlike other cars, I let them know it’s my special UV tinting I did from Magic Auto Sound. I love it so much and recommend anyone who needs a professional tinting job to check this place out.
Recently my brother went to check this place out for some HID lights because of all the positive feedback I’ve been telling him. To no surprise, he was beyond satisfied with the incredible job they did to his car. He told me there was a wide range of selections unlike most auto shops, and they hooked him up fat! Best deal he’s found anywhere! And as a car junkie, he knows his stuff. He said they offered him many things, to some he agreed willingly, and to some he kindly rejected. Overall, his car looks incredible, which makes him feel incredible as well.
In the end, Magic Auto Sound wants nothing but the best for you and your car. I will continue recommending people as long as they keep up the good work (which I’m pretty sure they will). Thank you for always making it a pleasurable experience!

Guys, don’t bother with this business. it’s a COMPLETE JOKE and not worth the hassle. I’ve been here three times since 2005. two tint jobs and the third time for a LED in the footwell job (which failed shortly after and their wiring was a POS that my dome light no longer functioned). That’s why there was only a third time.
The tint was $ 100 back then. fast forward to May 2014. I knew the reviews were horrible but my rear windshield had gotten to a blurry haze where I couldn’t see behind me so I reluctantly came back because of my lifetime warranty. I was ready for any bull they were going to throw at me. I had my legible receipt that said LIFETIME warranty. The chubby Korean guy thought he had me when he asked for the receipt and looked surprised (while also annoyed) that I did.
He tried to tell me «well it’s almost been 10 years.» and I’m like «so? It’s LIFE-​time» I took him to my car to show him and he said he was going to fix the rear three but he wouldn’t do the rear triangular pieces. Fine. got more than I expected from these crooks anyways. He also tried to blame me that I made them bubble, peal, and turn purple? Plz. you mean nine years had nothing to do with it? Einstein in the building.
It just baffles me why they’re so cheap that they wouldn’t fix the little triangular pieces too. I mean I was told they wouldn’t but why on earth would you want someone to be able to show the world your workmanship and what your products are really worth? This is magic auto sounds work and they are OK with a car rolling off their lot looking like this.
They said no weekends for warranty work and you have to come in when they open and they’ll get to it when they do. Funny, they didn’t have that tune when I was buying it from them? They started working on it when I dropped it off at 9am but told me finish time was going to be around 4pm. Said he’d call me. well he didn’t. I had to call him and they had my car for 7 hours? probably just to be an a-​hole and not make me want to come back for my front two tints.
