Mak’s Roast Beef & Pizza

The food is awesome and I’m about to order from them again. That’s going to be twice in one day.

Had a Super Roast Beef sandwich for lunch and it was absolutely delicious Could be the best roast beef I ever had. Very tender, thinly sliced and very tasty.

Roast beef was good. Had the Superbeef comes in an Onion roll. Staff was friendly.

You get a lot of chicken in their charbroiled chicken sandwich.

My husband and I were in the area and just needed to stop for something quick. Mak’s popped up on Unilocal with a great rating and great reviews so it was an easy choice. It’s street parking, we had no problem but I can see it being tough during the workweek. The guy inside said he delivers basically anywhere though, so I would recommend that.
Anyway, onto the good stuff. We ordered 2 juniors, 1 plain and 1 mayo, mozzarella sticks and fries. We decided to eat in, there are 4 or 5 tables to chose from. As we sat and waited for our food, several people came in to get take out or eat in, it was a consistent crowd which is always a good sign. Not long after our food was brought out to us and we instantly knew it would be mighty tasty. (All pictured) The juniors are packed full of delicious fresh roast beef, it’s the most roast beef I’ve ever seen in a junior. The buns were toasted perfectly too. it was absolutely delicious. The fries were incredible, so flavorful — and they give you a ton! The only thing we weren’t crazy about were the mozza sticks. They weren’t bad, they just tasted frozen to us, we’ve had better elsewhere.
The staff was very friendly, food was great, we were very satisfied. We would certainly recommend.

There roast beef sandwiches are the best in the south shore. The roast beef is moist and juicy. It’s a great place for lunch or a casual dinner. They offer large portions, so much so that you could actually save some for another sandwich. Average prices and an easy location make this place a must try.

Great little hole in the wall place. I love trying out new places for roast beef, and this one is great. Not much on atmosphere if that’s what you are after, but the roast beef is excellent!

This place is a tasty lil treasure. A wonderful hole in the wall that just happens to occupy a whole tiny building.
I ended up in Norwood Hospital for 5 days with a nasty wound infection. After suffering through 3 days of strictly hospital food (bagel for breakfast and turkey sandwich for both lunch and dinner… because, lets face it, that’s about all that IS edible). Mak’s ended up being JUST what the doctor ordered.
My dad and I work for the same company in Norwood and a co-​worker of ours had suggested Mak’s.
I grew up with Walt’s Roast Beef down in RI but I will openly admit… Mak’s beats Walt’s by a landslide for flavor, sandwich size, price… everything.
I have since returned and several times to get my sammy fix and have enjoyed both their roast beef and pastrami sandwiches… along with their giant orders of steak fries.
Have yet to try their pizza but it looks pretty solid.
(Note: The nurses saw I had a take-​out menu for Mak’s and stole it… its THAT good.)

Best Pizza in Norwood. Can’t believe I have never been here before. I have heard there roast beef is good, but the cheese pizza is the best.

This place is amazing. You can come here and cure your taste buds with an amazing, north Shore style roast beef. They also have amazing pizza with unbeatable prices. All this, topped off with a very welcoming, friendly woman at the counter.

Excellent!!! I’ve been looking at Mak’s for awhile and I finally went… So good I go the super beef with sauce cheese and mayo and onion rings… Best I’ve had !!! Can’t wait to go back

WHY have I lived in the area for so long and had Maks slip my radar? Had takeout there tonight for first time.
The phone service and pick-​up service was absolutely friendly and courteous which you don’t get often in local pizza and sandwich shops. But more importantly…
The Roast Beef was:
— Rare (hard to find around here)
— Flavorful
— Ample portion
— Priced Right
and had fresh bread and great toppings.
Totally recommend Maks and look forward to returning.

I’ve lived in the area a few months and had roast beef from Mak’s numerous times, it’s the best! I get the super beef which comes on an onion roll with cheese, sauce, and mayo and it’s one of my favorite things to eat now. I highly recommend Mak’s!

Do not be fooled by the unassuming exterior — this place needs more attention! The super beef is the perfect sandwich and not too much food — comes on a buttery oniony bun sent from heaven. We also got sides of mozzarella sticks and onion rings (regular size is HUGE) which were both also amazing.

Great roast beef sandwiches ! I took my kids and they loved it too.
I had a regular beef with everything. It was a little messy, but totally worth it.
This was both my sons first roast beef sandwich, they are now hooked.

Best roast beef in the area

They do it right here. Good south shore roast beef sandwitch, crispy fries and onion rings. It may not be on the level of some of the famous north shore places, but Norwood is lucky to have a 2^nd tier rendition in their backyard.

If you live south of Boston and crave a good North Shore roast beef sandwich this is the place to go. Mayo, sauce and cheese done the right way. The portions are a good value for the price. The regular size fries/​onion rings easily feeds 3.

I just moved to the neighborhood and am always curious to try local roast beef places. I told the woman at the counter that it was my first time there and she couldn’t have been nicer or more friendly. I got a slice of pizza and a roast beef sandwich with sauce, cheese, and mayo to go. Lots of beef for your buck and I liked the sauce — very messy but equally enjoyable. The sandwiches cost around $ 5, which is reasonable. I will definitely be returning!

We’ve gotten roast beef sandwiches delivered from Mak’s 3 times. Every single time, the delivery person has arrived promptly and been polite. And the roast beef is friggin’ delicious every time.
