I take my car to Jorge whenever it needs anything. In the 5 years I have lived in this area, I have taken it to a few different places. I just couldn’t find any one that had the right combination of honest and friendly. I live very close to JEV so it was a shot in the dark. There are a lot of high end mechanics in this area. They all charge ridiculous prices for the most basic stuff. I would be better off going to the dealership than them. But not at JEV. Jorge is always very honest and easy to get a hold of. He explains things to me like I’m 5 (Which is a good thing!). I bought my tires there and now he gives me free rotations. He even drives me home and picks me up when my car needs work. 5 star service!

Incredible service! My «service engine» light came on and I was experiencing horrible misfiring and they were able to schedule me the following morning. Jorge was very thorough explaining what needed to be replaced in my BMW 328xi and kept me up-​to-​date what was wrong with my car. He was also amazing at keeping with the quoted time required with servicing my vehicle. I went to a different auto shop and they ended up requiring more than double the time they estimated to change my rear brakes and rotors. I definitely would recommend J.E.V. Auto and will be using them again!

So there I was with my first flat tire, safely parked in a parking lot at least. I freaked out, got my car fitted with a donut and ran home to tell Jorge my latest problem! Backing up… I’m a single mom of three very young children and I have a hour plus commute to and from work every day. With only one car, I must know that my car is properly maintained. I’ve been going to see Jorge and his incredible staff for my Volvo maintenance needs for about two years now. He knows I’ve only got the one car and often takes extra care to make sure I can get to and from his shop. Back to the flat tire dilemma… I called, texted, emailed, sent out a flare… and sure enough Jorge and his team were right there ready to help. He got my tire changed out in record time. He’s even had my car cleaned before when I wasn’t even expecting it. My advice is, if you have a luxury, or a pseudo luxury car (like mine) you can totally depend on the honest folks at JEV Automotive to treat you right.

Jorge (George) knows his stuff. Did an inspection on my newly purchased BMW 318i
and told me the truth. As a woman customer I appreciated that he took the time to explain all the fine points and laid out the estimate. It was fair and reasonable for the work that needed to be done. I will refer others to him and use him myself. He put on a couple of belts for me and the car was ready when he said it would be. I went in and spoke with Jorge. I asked him for an appointment same day and he made room for me. I had him check out a car before I bought it. He found that quite a bit of work needed to be done. He was very kind and honest. Ended up not getting the car on his recommendation. I will definitely go back next time I need his services.

Highly recommend Jorge. He went above and beyond in trying to figure out what was wrong with my older car. I took it to 4 other garages and they couldn’t ‘t figure it out. They just kept throwing things at it and making me spend money, but it wouldn’t fix the problem. Jorge fixed. Hallelujah. He was very kind and easy to understand and answers my questions thoroughly. His customer service is fantastic.

I met Jorge several years ago through a professional group and soon after began taking my Nissan Armada to him for service. I expected and was prepared to have to replace brake pads because that’s what I’d been told I’d have to do by another mechanic in town, but instead Jorge informed me that it was not necessary to do just yet. I was relieved to say the least. It was at least a year and a half before I actually needed to replace both the shoes and the rotors, and Jorge would check them each time for wear when I brought the truck in for oil changes. I began to realize that before working with Jorge, I might’ve been lining the other mechanic’s pockets for some time… but how was I to know that?!? There’s nothing more unsettling and disappointing than feeling like you’ve been taken advantage of. At least I thankfully don’t have to worry about that anymore.
I didn’t mention that my truck has over 150,000 miles on her — she’s almost 10 years old and I LOVE her! I’ve had Jorge do a couple of major services, and those have been both reasonably priced and thorough.
I learned that an excellent mechanic really checks everything over to make sure that I’ll be safe on the road, and that finding an honest and forthright mechanic who doesn’t fabricate reasons to soak you is like finding a needle in a haystack! It’s such a comfort to me that I’ll never have to look further than to Jorge, and that I can refer him to my clients, friends and family without reservation.

I spent three weeks searching for a mechanic I could trust and that knew what they were talking about. Jorge not only fixed all of my issues, but also looked into other areas of the car to see if anything else needed to be looked at. He worked through the night to return the car to me on the promised date. I NEVER give mechanics stars because frankly I’ve been to everyone mechanic here in Novato at one point or another, and quite frankly none of them deserve it. Jorge is fair, friendly, trustworthy, personable, and fast. Really hope to see him succeed.

I did not know Jorge before going to his garage and would not consider myself a personal friend of his. That being said, I plan on providing a real and honest review of his services.
Everyone knows how difficult it is to find a good mechanic. There’s a lot of Unilocal searching and trial and error. I’ve been living in Marin for 5 years and had no luck finding a good mechanic, until I met Jorge. Although, he’s not a good mechanic, Jorge is a great mechanic! My Ford Escape had been making a loud noise when I accelerated for about 2 years. I took my car to the Ford dealership thinking that they would be able to identify what the noise was and fix it. Three times I took my car to the dealership and all three times they said my car was fine. I visited my parents for Xmas and my Dad immediately noticed that my car was making a weird noise. My Mom found Jorge’s information through her small business group. Jorge was immediately available and super accommodating. I had to drop my car off early so I could get to work, and he accommodated that. In one afternoon, he was able to diagnosed my car and call me with a quote. His price was much cheaper than the dealership, and he was able to get the part needed and fix my car in one day. When I came to pick up my car, he brought me over to the engine and showed me what he did and the part he replaced and why it was making the noise. He didn’t just tell me everything was all fixed, he actually wanted me to understand what I was paying for. I am so impressed with his professionalism and reliability. I have been to a few mechanics in Marin and haven’t been overly enthusiastic about my experience.
Jorge is SOOO kind and extremely professional. I feel so comfortable taking my car to his shop. I will not take my car anywhere else. If you’re looking for a reliable mechanic, please call Jorge. You will not regret it!

We brought our Audi to Jorge with a major engine problem. After researching several other shops and mechanics and getting lots of advice, we learned that our car needed a new engine and decided to have Jorge do the work. Discovering that your newly purchased used car needs a new engine is pretty much a worst-​case-​scenario, not mention a huge expense.
Jorge was extremely pleasant to work with. He was meticulous and thoughtful every step of the way, including providing a quality estimate and always taking time to explain every last detail to us in a way we could easily understand. He worked hard on our behalf to negotiate a great price on the engine itself and saved us money wherever possible. I also really appreciated being able to communicate with him via phone, text, and email.
When it was time to pick up our vehicle, Jorge had us do a test drive and walked us through all of the work he did on the vehicle, making sure we were satisfied before we paid our final bill. The engine was spotless and he even did a little extra work to make sure it was in the best possible condition (and no he didn’t charge us extra).
To top it off, Jorge sent me a follow up email to make sure everything was going well with the repairs. What mechanic does that? None in my 20 years of car ownership!
I don’t think you could ask for more from a specialty shop: very knowledgeable mechanic, pleasant customer service, extremely reasonable price.
We will be bringing our Audi back in the future for necessary maintenance/​service.

I’m really impressed with Jorge. His workmanship is great, he did what he said, without falure and without any suprises. If you’re looking for someone to repair your Audi without drama or being taken advantage of, go here!

Really tho, I had a sort of emergency oil change situation, he made it all better!
He checked my fluids, cleaned my little lucky star up a bit… And away I went. He didn’t even come close to overcharging me.
He has a great smile too.
