Food was blah. I ordered what I thought was a loaded nachos plate but turned out to be a pile of chips with not much else.

Great family friendly sports pub with warm atmosphere and great food. Service is great while food quality and portion size are excellent as well. One our favorites when we are in the area. Try the wings.

Love going to B Halls. It reminds me of the sports bars/restaurants our soccer and baseball teams would go to with our parents after games. Great food and plenty of TVs to catch the games. It has a great family & neighborhood feel to it, which I don’t get from many of the other establishments in O’Fallon.

I’ve been going to B Hall’s for about two years now. I play on a slow pitch softball team and we would come over the summer time after games to have beers. The place has changed drastically service wise in my own opinion. The food is the definition of «average». I order the buffalo chicken sandwich with tater tots. The sandwich was nothing special but didn’t taste bad by any means at all. It was nice that a place offered tater tots to substitute french fries. The drinks were a fair price which is a good thing for a college student like myself. The atmosphere there is what you’ll see at a typical sports bar. I myself call it a «mini Buffalo Wild Wings». There is a sports feel especially when the Blues score a loud horn goes off. This is a decent place to go have a few beers and catch the game if it’s on. The place does get a little loud at some points and it seems to be very busy around 5PM and clears out around 7PM. The service here is why I am giving this place 3 stars. Service is what makes or breaks places for me. It took a good 8 – 10 minutes before the waitress came to ask us what drinks we wanted. We finally got waited on and it took a good 10 minutes for my pitcher of beer to arrive. The server didn’t seem so friendly at all. It was more of a «What do you want» and not a good dining experience. B Halls is decent for what it is. If I go back, it’s because a friend wants to go or with a big group. Otherwise, I won’t be back. 3 Stars.

B. Halls is what you expect in a sports bar/grill: solid food and cold drinks. And they do both relatively well but not well enough to write home about. I ordered a CBR(chicken, bacon, ranch) quesadilla and fries. Both were up to standard but didn’t blow me away. The waitress wasn’t the best which kind of hurt my overall general feeling about the place as it had a shot to be looking at a four-star rating, but so it goes. Specifically you could just tell that she didn’t want to be there. 3 stars.

We went to B. Halls Bar & Grill as guests of a group party. They did a buffet set up of toasted ravioli, wings and little sandwiches. There was one server handling our group and she was very fast and attentive with drinks. As vegetarians we ordered the margherita pizza, chips and salsa and tator tots. It was all standard pub food, but that about exhausted the non-meat options on their menu. The group room is secluded with the rest of the restaurant and separated with double doors. There are plenty of TVs to watch and lots of seating, and on a Friday night the restaurant was pretty hopping with people having food, drinks and watching the game.

Sister lunch today before shopping. Service was good. We were offered our choice of tables upon entering, and our server took our beverage orders right away. They have Diet Dr Pepper! My sisters both got unsweetened iced tea. Big Sis got a «you pick two» — she chose the cheese chicken tortilla soup and the house salad. Little Sis got a chicken club salad with house salad as her side. I got a cup of the soup of the day — creamy mushroom — and a small chef salad. All the food came out at the same time. That was a good touch. Big Sis’s soup was a bowl — not a cup(which you usually get in a «you pick two») — and her house salad was huge. Little Sis’s sandwich looked divine with chicken and bacon on a very soft-looking roll. Mayo was on the side. As was a pickle that I so wanted, but she ate it. Hey, it was on her plate. Her salad portion was generous, too. My creamy mushroom soup was hot, perfectly textured, full of mushrooms and umami. The small chef salad was large IMO, full of fresh produce, including crispy lettuce of at least two kinds, grape tomatoes, cucumber pieces, turkey, salami and two kinds of cheese. The ranch dressing was on the side. And it was good. My to-go vessel was 2⁄3 of my salad. A great dinner.

My husband and I have patronized this restaurant several times. We usually receive good food and OK service. Last night was particularly disappointing. First, when you walk into the joint, there is no hostess station or any sign telling you what to do. During our first visit, we figured out that we were to seat ourselves, and we did so last night. We were greeted by a young waiter with a charming smile. We soon figured out that his family was at a table near us, and he spent a good portion of the night conversing with them. Upon receiving my iced tea, it tasted old and nasty, but I said nothing. We ordered Bosco sticks for an app, and our waiter came to the table to let us know it would be awhile. Apparently, a cook had attempted to fry Oreos, and now the oil needed to be changed. My hubby and I each ordered a burger; we were not asked how we wanted it cooked. When the burgers arrived, they were well done and mine was fairly dry. I had ordered pickles and lettuce with my burger — I got them, plus tomato and onion. My husband had ordered pickles, lettuce, and onion with his; he received none of it. Since our waiter was busy visiting with his family, there wasn’t an opportunity to tell him about the mistake. Our burger buns were cold; they had not been placed on the grill like is typically done at restaurants. As we were eating, a gal came by and picked up our ketchup bottle to refill it(it was practically full). I asked her if I could use it for my fries before she took it away. She didn’t look pleased, like she had been put on a mission to fill all ketchup bottles and I was hampering her progress. The real kicker was at the end of the night. We had a coupon for $ 10 off a $ 25 food purchase. All said and done, our food totaled $ 23.50 or so. The manager refused to the honor the coupon. Look, I know we weren’t technically at $ 25(we honestly thought we were), but it only makes good business sense to give it to us. You make us happy, and we return. That’s the beauty of a family-owned business — you can make those kinds of executive decisions for the sake of the customer. Unfortunately, this was the last straw. I doubt we’ll be back, and we’ll be sure to spread the word. Customer service is NOT a priority here.

Mmm I love their boneless wings! The queen wings are great. And I also get the normal hot ones too. They have a good buffalo chicken wrap as well. And I really like the fries and salad here. They have lunch basket specials that are really great too! I can’t tell you exactly how much it is but it’s around 5 dollars for a basket with a buffalo chicken sandwich and fries. So good and super cheap. I love buffalo anything so it works for me!

Even though my family has lived in Monticello Estates for over 10+ years, we’ve never really eaten at B. Hall’s before. Since I was in the mood for a good burger(not a McD’s creation, etc.), and it was right outside the neighborhood, we decided to give the place a try. Our waitress was actually being trained but was very polite and attentive. The food came out at a good time and the atmosphere wasn’t bad. The food was like this: I couldn’t complain about anything. I got the bacon cheeseburger and my mother got the patty melt: The buns weren’t stale, the burger was a good size(juicy, crunchy, and melt in your mouth.), the bacon was thick and just the right amount of chewy. I asked for my fries to be ‘loaded’ and was pleasantly surprised by how well they looked! It might sound like a joke, but they were ‘artfully done.’ Most placed will throw on some nacho cheese, a smattering of bacon bits and call it done, but these looked like someone had spent some time and care to make them. My mother got tater tots with hers and they were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The food wasn’t some insanely over the top creation. The fries and tater tots were normal, and the buns/bread were regular. But all the food was done RIGHT! And that’s what really matters. We will definitely be coming back again very soon.

The wings are amazing. Sometimes the service is a little slow, but the wings are worth the wait.

We and some friends were regulars until we met Brian, the owner. A small food order request that altered a standard item and was provided many times before seemed to throw everyone off this particular visit. Brian came to our table and was an immediate jerk. The situation could’ve been easily handled differently and my wife would’ve ordered something else. Completely disrespectul and, coming from the owner himself, shows very poorly of this establishment. We didn’t stay to eat and we won’t be returning. You can bet friends, family and others will hear negative word-of-mouth. Business must be good that the owner feels he can be rude to well-paying, courteous customers.

Been there twice now. First time they were packed but waitress still found time to take care of our needs. Wings were delicious! Onion rings so so. I was happy enough that i thought i might try and make them my «go to» watering hole so i went in tonight only to find bartender lady more interested in meeting her girlfriend than keeping my beer full. Waited to long and lost interest in getting wings and more beer so. Paid up and left. I hope it was a one time thing and I’ll go back.

B. Halls is one of our favorite places to eat… except for tonight. We eat there at least once a week but tonight I was really disappointed… not so much in the food but in the customer service. And… customer service is the most important thing. I almost always get the jalapeño chicken panini and love it. But tonight, the chicken was as thin as a pancake… the wrap was thicker than the chicken. I questioned it as it is usually thick and juicy. The waitress took it back to the kitchen. A few minutes later she came back to the table WITH my original panini and told me that the kitchen said it weighed the same… just a different cut. Do I look like I’m stupid? The waitress did offer to get me something else but I didn’t want anything else. I went to B. Halls to get this panini. I have never sent anything back to the kitchen in my entire life and I certainly did not expect to have it sent right back to me! Good customer service would have been to make a new one even if the first one was ok by the kitchen’s standards. Or… to tell me that that was the only cut they had available and give me a discount on the one I had. But… to send it back to me and tell me it was ok just is not right. I am the customer!

Had an enjoyable time and good meal here with my wife on Friday evening. We arrived about 5:45 pm, and the place was already packed. Thankfully, we were able to grab a small table on the wall. The place is really just a big storefront in a strip center; there are tables packed in everywhere, and TV screens all around. The TVs are all on the outer walls, so you can watch sports as you want, but it doesn’t command attention. It’s family friendly, and there were all varieties of group types and sizes. The noise level was really just a decent hum, so it’s enjoyable to be there and just watch all the activity while still being able to talk at your table. I wanted wings for dinner, but knew that I would need more than that, so I also got the nachos supreme appetizer just for myself. The nachos supreme for one is really a full entrée. It had a LOT of toppings, worth the price. Pretty good flavor with all the different stuff, but one weird thing — the jalapenos were the mildest that I’ve ever eaten. Normally I have to pick off all but a few. For these, though, I just plowed through them without any discomfort — they had flavor but no real heat. So I was fairly satisfied from the nachos, but still ate half of my 10 piece wing order. I wanted breaded wings tossed in the sauce, like you get with their Merle’s wings, but also wanted the tangy, gold sauce instead of plain hot. The waitress said it was no problem. Good stuff! The wings had a tasty, crisp breading; and were tossed in a generous amount of their gold sauce. — it reaaly is tangy, but not burning hot; so there was a lot of tangy flavor with just mild lip tingly burn. Now for the wife, she decided to go with the NY strip steak, which came with a baked potato, broccoli, and a salad. She got the salad the same time as my appetizer — which I had requested, and which they followed — choosing a small house salad. She said it was pretty good, a nice mix of lettuce, cauliflower, bacon, broccoli, and onion, with sweet parmesan dressing. While she thought it was pretty good, there was a strong onion flavor, since the onion was well minced and throughout the salad; and there was a lot of dressing, more than she would normally want. As for the steak, it was a good looking 12 oz portion, but more gristle & fat than I would normally see in a strip(although I know that comes with the strip) — but there was a lot of flavor in the strip, perhaps from the amount of fat. The baked potato was typical, But the broccoli was a pleasant surprise. It was a full cup of florets only, no stems, steamed and with some kind of seasoning sprinkled on it to give a full flavor. Overall, a fun/enjoyable atmosphere for us, nice noise level, and food that was a step above what I expected. I liked it.

I hadn’t been in here in a couple of years but my wife and I were looking for something different so we stopped in for lunch. Great service and good food. I was glad we stopped in. This place use to be so smoky you couldn’t breathe but with the no smoking law in O’Fallon it was very pleasant.

Who has ever heard of a kid friendly bar? This place is great! Bar on one side, dining room on the other. TVs everywhere and a few games for the kids. The food is good. Typical bar/grill type menu with GREATWINGS. We like to go here with friends, the kids have as good of a time as we do!

Food was so so. Service was awful. We had a voucher, perhaps that is the reason for the poor service? Regardless, we will not be returning to B Halls bar and grill.

We love B Halls. We have been going there for years. The food is always good, and I like the beers(boulevard, Schlafly, Goose Island). Kids eat free on Tuesdays. We always had great service from the waitresses that had been there awhile. They went through a period about six months ago where I had two visits back to back where I was overcharged(new waitresses). I don’t think it was intentional, but twice in a row is enough to lose my business. Fortunately my kids begged me to go back, and the last few visits(new waitstaff) have gotten my bill right. The place is completely non smoking inside. The King Wings are spectacular. The tortilla soup is one of my kids cravings. The buffalo chicken sandwich is great. Their side salads are tasty. They have beer specials nightly. $ 5.00 pitchers on Saturday. Tuesday’s kids eat free, and they sometimes have a very talented balloon artist that entertains the kids(and adults alike ;) the guy is amazing! One note about this listing on Unilocal. The map symbol is not displayed in the correct place. B Halls is located on the corner of Hwy K and O’Fallon Rd. In the Monticello Plaza back in the corner next to Shop and Save.
