$ 2.79 for a Tablespoon of Guacamole, absolutely ridiculous! The steak in the steak tacos was tough, the shells were stale, and basically no flavor. Where were the tomatoes and cilantro? This is the worst $ 18 lunch ever, I will never order from this Chevy’s again.

Although I love Chevy’s food, our last experience was just awful but it was due to our reservation. Knowing that it was going to be a busy Friday night, and we had 8 people including a baby, I got a reservation. When we got there, the girl at the hostess station couldn’t find the reservation book. Her friends all tried to help, but to no avail. Then they looked at me and said that they don’t have any tables available. The whole time a Manager is standing there a few steps away and never said a thing. No apology, nothing! Another customer standing there said she too had made a reservation for 20 and they didn’t have that one either! We waited about 20 minutes and we’re finally seated. To top it all off, my husbands favorite dish was sold out. Oh well, I shouldn’t expect too much from a place where the 18year olds apparently run the place.

I read the previous Unilocal reviews… most of them negative… but, thought I’d give this place a try anyways. Service was outstanding. Scotty, my server, was excellent. The food came out quick… and was pretty good. It’s been many years since I ate at a Chevy’s and it seems that their food isn’t as fresh as it used to be. No fault of the this restaurant… they just cook what is provided by corporate(I imagine). It’s just over seasoned and a lot like what you would get at other mom and pop Mexican restaurants. I say give it this Chevy’s a try and see for yourself.

The food was good, but the menu doesn’t have enough options and they charge extra for every little thing.

I wanted to like this place because our server was such a sweet guy but unfortunately it’s more about the food and I would have probably enjoyed Taco Bell as much. We had the tamales because I usually judge Mexican by this and my daughter remarked they seem microwaved because hers were cold in the middle. The strawberry margarita needed two packets of sugar to be drinkable. Portions were small and that was ok because they gave us lots of chips and salsa. Husband asked the food delivery guy for hot sauce and he said, «I don’t know, ask someone else.» overall the prices were too high for the quality.

This used to be my wife’s favorite place to eat. Unfortunately it has went downhill fast. The food is soggy and tasteless and the portions are small.

I have been eating at Chevy’s for many years and have always loved their food. Unfortunately lately it is hard not to notice they seem to be headed downhill. My family’s last 2 visits featured slow disjointed service, along forgetting an entire meal, which was finally served 15 minutes after the rest of our group had their food. This happens sometimes I know, but it usually is accompanied by an apology and the offer of a discount. Not the case here. My steak fajita portion size was noticeably smaller than in past visits. Same number of pieces of steak, but cut shorter and thinner that in my previous visits.(Yes Chevy’s, we notice that…) Drink refills were served 15 minutes after they were ordered. This can be overlooked when a place is busy, but that was not the case here. There were maybe 1⁄3 of the tables occupied at 7:00 on a Wednesday, also not a good sign. My guess is the O’Fallon Chevy’s will be shuttered by the end of 2015. This is a shame, as it was once a quality mid priced restaurant.

Good chips and salsa. Good food and drinks. Good service. For a chain, they do a fine job.

Food is great. Environment is awful. Kids running rampant. This is what happens when you give kids meals away and piss off people who want a quiet dinner experience.

Great food and great service, we walked in and were sat immediately. Food was at the table in 15 mins. Paige was our server and she was great.

This is my first negative review on Unilocal.I am absolutely floored and steaming with irritation. My wife and two daughters walked in 410pm today and there were only 3 other tables with patrons in the entire establishment. Made sense because of the time. We ordered promptly after having to have someone get our waitress who then said she was all by herself… there were only 3 tables so big deal… by 430 our drinks were gone and so were the chips and salsa. No one around, the waitress came out a couple times and stood near the bar to someone that seemed like her boyfriend. By 445 I went to the manager and asked her for her help and explained that there were not busy at all and we would love our food but real drinks and chips. She basically ignored me saying she would see what she could do and stood there even after I walked back to my table. By 505 I had had enough. Our 7 yr old and 2 yr old were troopers but I wasn’t. I had enough and even walking to the bar and hostess telling them they could keep the food that was obviously not going to be served to us. We walked out knowing we would NEVER walk into this Chevys again. HORRIBLE!!!

I give three stars. Food is good but service is lackluster. As if patrons were a second thought. Special disappointment of the day time manager who looks a little like Tim Conway. Wandered the floor with absolutely no interaction with patrons. No ‘how’s your dinner’?, ‘thanks for coming in’. Poor customer service habits of a manager. He inspires nothing from his servers or customers. Shame.

Not to thrilled by this particular Chevys. Not a horrible experience but unfortunately I won’t be returning. My food was a bit cold which was surprising being that it was pretty dead for a Saturday night. On a good note out waitress(Vickie) was really nice and professional! Seemed like some of the other employees were only there because their parents made them get a job.

Let me start with the goodness… waiter was awesome, very attentive as the store was slow for business on the holiday. Food was yummy and due to large portions we brought food home for a second meal. So here’s the downside, I am not a big drinker so when on the occasion that I do have a cocktail it usually does the trick… I am chilling… the cocktails were super lame!!! I have never aspired to be a bartender but really wish I was the gal making the drinks tonight!!! None of the mixed drinks at our table were anything to brag about… this is not what we normally have at this store… not sure why it was a bad drink night but it so was!!! Wait on second thought perhaps it was to get us outta the store so they could close for the night. So the best part was the view of all the firework displays!!!

Very disappointed 2nd time visit! It was not as good as the first time! The waiter was awesome!!! Eric was a great waiter give him 5 stars across! I just feel like the cooks were not taking care of their business in the kitchen! ThAnk you to Rocky, MOD he took care of us and we hope our next visit will be a better one like the first time! Right now it gets 2 stars cause we didn’t get my charro beans kept giving me refried beans. Forgot my red sauce for my burrito! Maybe next time.

Menu is good but stale. This Chevys really needs a good cleaning and server training. I’d stay away.

For chain restaurant food, Chevy’s is one of the better options! Their«fresh» label stands true, their food is always a fresher variety than most other Mexican fare in St. Louis or St. Charles County. And when most mexican restaurants in this area serve up margaritas from a mix, it’s nice to be able to order a top shelf version that doesn’t taste like sugar syrup! And the manager took care of us when there was something wrong with our dish. Service is otherwise pretty standard. We always enjoy our meals here.

My first ever Chevy’s visit! We came here to celebrate my boyfriend’s dad for Father’s Day. This is the default place he usually enjoys to come and eat, so we did just that. Service was really good. The lady made sure we got what we wanted and did it all in a timely manner. Food was decent. I really loved the chicken quesadilla and chips and salsa. Everyone else were happy with their orders as well. Bonus for Jason’s dad — they gave him a free container of salsa and bag of tortilla chips. Margaritas were tasty and perfect in every way imagineable. We went during happy hour which made it even better with the prices. I enjoyed my experience for sure and hope to come back soon.
