We are a small practice that caters to you and cares if you can hear. We help people everyday to hear again, especially in noisy environments, such as in restaurants, family gatherings, and meetings.

Most people come to us after years of denial about their hearing loss, and are worried about being looked at in a negative way if they wear hearing aids. We offer ways to discretely improve your hearing so you can start participating in the conversation again.

Our practice is independently owned by Dr. Dawn Heiman, who has her Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Audiology. We are not owned by a big corporation or franchise. We can order from any hearing aid manufacturer you need, based on your type of hearing loss, needs, and wants.

History

Established in 2011.

Prior to opening Advanced Audiology Consultants, Dr. Dawn Heiman studied audiology and achieved her bachelors, masters, and doctoral degrees in Audiology. She then trained and practiced in the University Hospital settings as well on surgical medical teams treated vast disorders of the ear and hearing for 12 years. Dr. Dawn Heiman has been practicing audiology for over 16 years.

Business Owner

Dr. Dawn Heiman is a Doctor of Audiology and is a licensed Illinois audiologist. She has been caring for people with hearing disorders for over 14 years. She is exceptional at not only evaluating and diagnosing hearing loss, but also in choosing the right hearing aids to help. Unlike some other places, she believes her job has only begun with new hearing aid fittings. Therefore, she assists in helping her patients use their hearing aids after the fitting and sets up routines and rehab programs to further help the new hearing aid user.
