My husband and I met John and Susie at one their open houses… pure magic. They not only helped in selling our family home of 35 years, but helped in finding us our new beautiful digs. And they are both so lovely, you want to have dinner with them!
There are so many good things to say I would have to write a novel but the basics of working with the John:
He helped in selling a home that was in our family for years foolproof. He made the very grueling process of purchasing another home more than manageable, but was also there for us: Every question, every concern, every unsure moment, he was there. He was honest about what we were looking at, where we were looking. He went to bat when things got complicated. He made sure we received everything we wanted and did it with grace and efficiency. And to top it off, he truly is a wonderful person to deal with in general.
I would recommend him a thousand times if I could!

Susie and John Forrest are the best realtors ever. Period. I wouldn’t be sitting in my beautiful home right now writing this review if it wasn’t for them. They sold my house for a record high price, helped me purchase my current home and in the process were lovely, honest, knowledgeable and patient. Our situation got complicated and they handled it all beautifully. They made extremely smart suggestions along the way. They went above and BEYOND to help us sell our home and buy another. I am forever grateful to John and Susie for everything they did for us. I can’t wait to finish this house and buy another just so I can work with them again!

John and Susie were absolutely wonderful and helped my wife and I find our first home. Buying a house can be very overwhelming but they were there for us every step of the way and were so quick to respond to any questions we had. We trust them completely and truly felt like they had our best interest at heart. They went above and beyond and we highly recommend them!

First, the cliff notes version of my review:
These are the best realtors you will find in Los Angeles. They’re whip smart on the Los Angeles market but above all, you can always trust their input and opinions on properties you’re viewing with them. Their priority is always finding the best match for what your needs are, NOT maxing out your budget to quietly pull in the biggest commission. Their patience seems never-​ending and they were an absolute joy to spend weekend after weekend… after weekend with, looking for the right house for us. Your search for a realtor ends here. Forrest Properties is amazing.
The longer version is, Susie and John are not only the greatest realtors in Los Angeles, but some of the most amazing PEOPLE we’ve met since moving out to LA almost a decade ago. My wife and I were looking for our first house and were referred to Susie and John by a work friend. We told them our max budget and after meeting with us and getting to know who we were, what we did professionally and what we were looking for, they subtly gave their input and steered us in the right direction when looking at properties. As first time home buyers, we were clueless. Their tireless efforts in our search was absolutely phenomenal. The search could have been exhausting, daunting and certainly overwhelming while going through the vast properties out there, but every weekend we’d spend with Susie and John, it was like being with friends or family rather than realtors. The biggest thing was TRUST. Susie and John could have EASILY pushed us towards a property that maxed our budget but they never did, it was always about the best fit. In the end, we found the absolute best fit we could have that ended up being a couple hundred thousand dollars BELOW our max budget (we had our eyes opened to what a fixer upper could be and found an incredible short sale). 3 years later, our house is worth nearly double what we bought it for after putting some carefully planned money into a few areas but above all, we absolutely love it. Susie and John have become very close family friends — we’ve been lucky enough to have them at our baby shower and other family events. And, the several other friends we referred them to have also connected with them in the same way.
If you’re looking for realtors, give them a call. Grab coffee with them and you’ll see, these are the people you want in your corner when you make the biggest purchase of your life.

Coming from the westside, my wife and I were used to an «Us vs. Them» mentality; that every single deal had a winner and a loser. To our shock and delight, Susie and John of Forrest properties showed us another way to buy a house. A process that was easy, communicative, supportive, and y’know what… fun!
From the moment we met Susie at the open house, we were charmed by her warm nature and very attentive style. We had a few places to see that day but we made sure to return to Susie’s listing. There was no trepidation on our part working with her as the listing agent due to the professionalism she displayed that day. With our offer submitted the night of the open house, all we could do was wait — but we didn’t wait long! Knowing their clients well, Susie got us an acceptance in one day.
Escrow can be a terrifying time — not so with these agents. Susie and John arrived for all the inspections with a carafe of coffee in tow, set up the appointments for contractors to give quotes, and met them at the house when I couldn’t be around. Susie was in CONSTANT communication with us through the entire process.
More importantly, the financial contingency of escrow can be the most difficult aspect to deal with. Having experience with my lender on my first house, all I had to do was indicate to Susie that we had to move before Memorial Day, and she was like a shark in the water. Lo and behold, my lender seemed to be perfectly fine with dragging behind, pushing our close all the way through the weekend and past Memorial Day — a full 5 days later than our stipulated 30 day escrow. When it looked like the bank was giving up on hitting our close date, Susie sprung into action. I’ve NEVER seen someone hold more people (2 people at escrow and 2 at the bank) to task in such a firm yet professional way as Susie did as we entered the home stretch. Just when I thought we were going to hit the weekend, Susie’s hourly emails and phone calls to the lender and escrow literally saved the day. We closed on time and were able to move in over the long weekend. Driven by a sense of duty to her clients, there is NOTHING Susie won’t do to come through for you.
We’re settled now and in love with our home, and will wholeheartedly recommend Forrest Properties to ALL of our friends buying in the Valley.
