Description

Specialties

With a wonderful combination of great good, good scenery and entertainment aboard a moving train. Our trips usually last about 3 hours. We run year-round with a variety of daytime and evening trips. We typically offer 1 – 2 trips per week, though we run more trains in the spring & holiday season.

We also accomodate all types of group events, including weddings, company parties & presentations, club outtings, reunions, proms, safe & sober grad nights, and many more.

History

Established in 1999.

The Sierra hosted the first dinner train in North America in the 1970s, but it was discontinued when the railroad was sold in 1981. Dinner train service returned to the Sierra in 1999 when a new owner bought the railroad, restored the line and launched the Sierra Railroad Dinner Train on December 30, 1999 — just in time to have some very enjoyable Millenium Trips!
