I’m a special events planner/​coordinator and I have worked with Yuki and his team for several years. He is truly amazing at what he does. I have referred him to many clients and their feedback is always wonderful. He pays attention to detail and catches all the right moments that you will cherish a lifetime. His level of professionalism and service is superb and his rates are competitive.

We hired Yuki to film our wedding in 2013 at the Bridges Golf Course in San Ramon. This review is LONG overdue, but he definitely deserves it!
He is very easy to talk to on our first consultation and listened to what type of video style we wanted. We showed him some examples of other videos he liked so he can get a sense of what we were looking for.
On the day of our wedding, him and his helper were very professional and you can tell they were on top of it.
After the wedding, we went back and forth with him, fine tuning the cuts and songs on the edit. The final product was an awesome video! I can’t stress how happy we are with the video and would absolutely recommend him!

We love you Yuki!!! Yuki was our wedding videographer this past May at Gilroy Gardens. From the get go, he was professional and down-​to-​earth– very easy to work with! Not only is he reasonably priced but he produced quality work. My husband and I loved our highlights video as well as our DVD. For anyone planning a wedding, definitely get a videographer because it helps capture moments that you will want to relive. And if you’re in the Bay Area then Yuki is the guy for you.

We are so happy that we decided to go with Yuki as our videographer. My husband and I went back and forth trying to decide if we wanted a videographer (I wanted one and he said we could go without) but once we met Yuki, we decided to do it because we liked his video style and the shots he captured. At our wedding in August 2013, he captured all our special moments and he did it all inconspicuously throughout the wedding day.
We got our wedding highlights soon after the wedding. That was a wonderful treat because the day goes by so fast that it’s wonderful to have a short video to see so soon after the big day! When we watched our DVD, we were able to relive our special day. The quality of Yuki’s work is clear, with great shots, impeccable editing, and nice choice of music. He is very professional, super nice, and easy to work with. We decided to go with the package with a 2^nd shooter and it worked out really nice with the different angles. We are so glad we decided to have a wedding videographer because we can revisit our special day any time we want! Thank you Yuki!

I hired Yuki to shoot my wedding and it turned out fantastic. Top of the line equipment, professional, courteous, and timely. I couldn’t have asked for more. I would highly recommend Blue Dolphin Productions for your wedding. Hopefully, I won’t need to hire him again!

I dont like to give negative reviews, but here goes…
Yuki shot our wedding back in July 2010. We felt good booking him as he always responded to our emails and showed up for appointments. However, on our wedding day, he showed up late to meet with the groom, thus was not able to capture any footage of him getting ready.
He finished putting together our wedding video on time as promised so we appreciated that. However, we were surprised by the poor picture quality. When I asked why the picture quality looked so dingy; resolution was so poor, he assured that he used some of the best equipment available on the market, but that the market was behind in technology for video recording… or something along those lines. I’m sorry to say, but the quality of some of my home videos are better… and my camcorder is not of professional quality. When we got our first DVDs, we discovered that he left out some important moments of our wedding day. When asked, he did re-​edit the footage for us so that was a plus. But sadly, we were not happy with the end result. He said he would interview our bridal party and add those clips to the final DVD. We were excited to have the memories of our friends sending their well wishes to us, but we never saw any. We thought that maybe they were recorded, but just not added to the final edit, but when we watched the raw footage, there were no interviews at all.
Til this day we’ve only watched our wedding video a few times because of the disappointment. He’s a nice guy, but I’ve seen better work. Sorry.

Yuki was a pleasure to work with. We contacted him about 8 months or so before our wedding date and he was very prompt in getting back to us with information about his rates and services. We didn’t get back into contact with him until a month or so before or wedding… he was so professional he even honored the 2011 rates even though his prices had increased. Yuki was on time during for our big day and was nothing but helpful through out our wedding. He was prompt with our Highlight video and we were so happy to see our full wedding video shortly after. Thank you Yuki for capturing such a important day for us and we are so thankful to have all our memories to watch.

this is a long awaited review that I never had time to write until now. I have a new saying and it is Happy Wife… Happy Life! Yuki and his staff made my now wife and I completely happy with the incredible video they shot of our wedding two years ago on 10.10.10 at the Saratoga Mountain Winery. Not only were they the most reasonably priced videographers but the finished product exceeded our expectations. I was the one that thought we didn’t need a video but now it’s the only thing that accurately captured the whole event. Thanks Yuki and staff! You helped us keep the memory of our wedding alive.

I was a maid of honor at my best friend’s wedding a couple of months back and when her wedding video was posted on Facebook, I probably watched it 20 times! It was that good. The video quality looked like a movie, the ones from theaters and not like those typical home videos we oftentimes see on «youtube» or «America’s Funniest Videos». It was so cinematic, artistic, and a tear jerker. I also found out that it was super affordable. I got to admit that I got obsessed watching other wedding videos after that, and my friend’s video tops the list. I know it sounds biased but I’ve also checked out other Blue Dolphin samples and I really love his style! Although beware (ladies), you might feel the need to get married right away after watching his videos!

Was helping a friend search for wedding videography services and was referred to Blue Dolphin Productions through a co-​worker. The quality of the video and smooth camera work resulted in a flawless product. It helps that Yuki’s equipment is top of the line and is actually the same cameras used by Hollywood film studios. Blue Dolphin will turn your wedding into a movie like experience.

This review is long overdue!
We are very pleased with the work Yuki and his partner has done for us. We met a few times, exchanged emails and phone calls so he could get a sense of what we wanted out of our movie. I really had no idea what I wanted but he gave us many samples and references of his old clients which made narrowing down our theme/​style much easier. He nonetheless filled in the blanks that I could not fill creatively and we were very happy and impressed with the final product. Our family loved it as well.
His pricing is very fair, compared to some of those outrageous fees other videographers are charging. He was able to complete everything on time according to his contract.
Oh and he also speaks Japanese fluently so it helped with some of my family members who speak very little English.
Thank you Yuki, we love our DVD, its beautifully done, so dramatic and romantic. You’ve captured so much emotion through the wedding party and guests. We watch our DVD often and get teary eyed every time.

We were looking for someone to record our wedding reception. We found Yuki online and liked the video samples on his website.
We were not happy with the DVD he made as it was really short and he had not included a lot of the evening. I asked him to make a longer DVD and the new one he sent us was still short. I decided to go ahead and just make my own DVD from the raw footage tapes he gave me.
When I saw the tapes I was surprised at the poor quality of the recording he had done for a person who is a professional videographer. I was not able to add much to the DVD and that’s what we are left with.
We realised he’s probably good at making real short videos like the samples he has on his website.

Looks like Yuki does some pretty good work, based on the website videos. I called to book him and he was great on the phone, reserved my date, and we talked about meeting in the coming months to lock everything in. He told me that the date would be held, no problem, and that if someone else came asking about it he would give me a heads up so I could send the deposit.
Cut to several weeks later, I let him know I’m sending up the check only to find out that he accepted work for another wedding that weekend, leaving me a videographer short without much time until the wedding. (Anyone who has planned a wedding knows how much fun that can be).
I can only suspect that whatever party he ditched us for requested a more expensive package, hence the lack of heads up from him. Perhaps I should learn for the future not to take people by their word and pay the deposit straight away… Or maybe it’s best not to be in business with those who have trouble shooting straight to begin with.

Unbiased opinion: If in a wedding videographer, you are looking for unmatched quality, unparalleled creativity, and a show that you and your guests will never forget, then Yuki Kawai (Blue Dolphin Productions) is the one for you!
The journey started with our wedding «slide show». Yuki made the effort to meet with us well before the big day to introduce himself, set a timeline, and most importantly, get OUR ideas for what we wanted to do. Not knowing much about videography, my wife to be and I just said that we wanted something «different». Enough said. At our next meeting Yuki brought with him a Metallica Rockumentary and showed it to us…
Fast forward to the big day. After the viewing of our «slide show», our guests were left in utter disbelief… in a good way. Some comments, «That was completely different from anything we have every seen at a wedding»; «That was awesome! So professionallly done and entertaining»; «Where did you come up with such a unique concept for a wedding «slide show». And finally, the clincher, «Dude, that was unbelievable! It was like I was watching a Metallica Rockumentary!»
You see, the Metallica compliment came from a cousin who had no idea that our «slide show» was inspired by just that. Such a compliment among a shower of compliments was a product of the hard work, open communication, patience, professionalism, and skill of Yuki. He made it happen for us — we just followed his lead. He went the extra mile and met with us numerous times, left the lines of communication open, and gave us everything we were looking for in a wedding videographer and more.
By the way, the Wedding Video that he put together of our wedding day/​night may be even better than our «slide show». The hits just don’t stop.
