Dede Cunningham began her career in real estate in 2003. She was born and raised in San Francisco and spent over six years in Edinburgh, Scotland with her husband at the beginning of their married life. Dede, Andrew and their two grown children, currently in college, have lived in Alameda for the past 20 years. They are appreciative of the wonderful life they share in Alameda and enjoy contributing to the growth and change of their community and are proud to be a part of this city’s vitality.

Words cannot describe how lucky we were to work with Dede Cunningham. We are first time buyers and Dede guided us through the whole process wth such care and professionalism. Dede was very responsive, detailed, patient and made us feel as though we were family. She kept us informed, educated us on the process, and continues to follow up with us.
Before finding our dream home in Alameda, Dede showed us dozens of homes all over the bay area over the course of a year. There was never any pressure to go over our budget or to make offers on home that weren’t right for us. When the time came to draft up an offer, she patiently reviewed documents and contracts with us line by line. She gave 110% and we can’t thank her enough.
Dede is undeniably the BEST at what she does. I highly recommend her!

Awesome experience. As first time homebuyers, my wife and I were overwhelmed with all of the jargon, processes, and nuances of buying a home in the Bay Area. Step in Dede to save the day and make our home buying process as smooth as possible.
Dede was there to walk us through what was going on in layman’s terms, answer all my questions, and was always available and enthusiastic to show me homes even if only to look and kick the tires. Throughout it all, Dede was always aware of the big picture — keep your clients first. She never pushed us into something we were not comfortable with or worried about getting the sale done quickly so she could move on to the next one. She put in countless hours making sure my wife and I were happy with the home we were buying with terms that would allow us to sleep easy at night.
I am convinced that her industry experience, ability to navigate the multiple personalities involved in the transaction, and knowledge of local markets pushed us over the finish line in this sellers market.

Dede surpassed all our expectations as our realtor to represent us in the sale of our home. She is professional, well-​organized, easy to work with, had great recommendations and resources for us to use, and moved things along when we needed it!
What seemed like a difficult feat at first, we accomplished with Dede’s hard work and tenacity. She offered us complete support, day and night (and there was plenty of it). We couldn’t have had such a wonderful success without her beside us. Our house was sold in under 2 weeks!
Many of our friends and neighbors were so impressed with our open house that they would love Dede to represent them someday. that says it all!

Dede helped my husband and I get our first home on our first try. She was super patient, kind, and informative. She offered her opinions on how to increase the chances of getting the house but didn’t get pushy when we wanted to do something else. I’m grateful that she worked really hard for us with the loan officer, especially since our closing had to be very fast. We definitely couldn’t have done everything without her.
All in all, we had a wonderful experience with Dede and if we someday have to sell our house, we know who to go with. Thanks Dede!

Dede helped us purchase our condo at Jack London Square. Downsizing after 30 years in a suburban house, we had lost track of how complicated a real estate purchase has become. Our goal was a fairly short closing time, and Dede made that possible with her constant effort. She returns phone calls and emails right away, and works well with the lender and title company. Dede helped us purchase our first house in Alameda last year, and we couldn’t be happier! Not only is Dede a very nice person but she has a ton of experience in the area. This was our first short sale bid and to our surprise the process was easy and straight-​forward. It’s really important to have an agent who knows the ropes, so to speak. Dede was there every step of the way and we closed on time and at the price we wanted.
With real estate, espeically short sales, you have to be able to move quickly and Dede was always available via phone or email, whenever we needed her. The home-​buying process can be fast, stressful and ultimately, exciting. DeDe has been confident, supportive, professional, and knowledgeable through the entire process which helped keep me at ease.
Dede also has a lot of contacts in the business; I actually used a mortgage broker she referred me to and just finished a roofing project as well.
