Moving Labor Cesar

The movers (ceser and another guy) came on time and started doing their job right away. They took good care of the furniture while loading and unloading from the truck. Also, they took good care of the floor by covering with blankets. They moved stuff in and out of the truck promptly without wasting any time. I am really impressed by their quality of work. They charge much lesser than many moving companies that charge double the price for the same amount of work. They did not ask for any tips and gave them a few dollars myself as I was very impressed by their service and couteousness.

Cesar and his team were fantastic. They showed up on time and worked really hard until the job was finished. I would recommend them to anyone who wants help moving.

I was so impressed by Cesar and Jr! They arrived on time and very well prepared. I thought I was really organized with my furniture coverings and bubble wrap ready– but I ran low towards the end– not to worry– Cesar and Jr had wrap and tape on hand and made sure all my furniture (even the cheap Ikea stuff) was safely wrapped and covered for the move.
I was concerned that we might not fit everything in the Uhaul truck– this was also not a problem for them. They expertly packed and secured the truck, with room to spare. When we tried to help them carry some boxes down, Cesar said it was not necessary, they have a system– Great news for me, since I could start cleaning the cleared out rooms.
Also– 1 piece of furniture did not fit through the door– again-​not a problem, they had all the tools to remove the door and put it back afterwards! They also took apart any furniture that needed to be taken apart.
And you can not beat their price– I was quoted lower then any other moving company/​movers in the area but received only the best service.
Like I said– I was super impressed and could not have asked for better help, they made the stressful ordeal that is moving so much better for me. Thanks again!

Small truck was no problem for Cesar! Got itt all on & room for more to be loaded later. So far nothing has moved after 1,000 miles!

We hired Cesar’s crew to pack storage containers which were going to be shipped across the country. The crew was friendly and seemed to work quickly. At first, we were really pleased with our decision to hire these guys.
We received the boxes at our destination only to find that many of the items were damaged due to poor packing. Many of the items – including; our dining table, HDTV, bed frames, and mirrors – were not properly wrapped in blankets. These items were then stacked (unprotected), which caused significant damage. There were plenty of blankets provided and even some left over but were left in the back of the container, unused.
Needless to say, we are very disappointed with our experience. We wouldn’t have bothered shipping the items if they were only going to get damaged. We have reached out to Cesar with no response.

These guys rock! On time, effective, they know how to fill a truck carefully and quickly.

These guys were awesome! I moved here from PA and had a ABF U-​Pack trailer shipped. The U-​Pack trailer arrival date changed 4 times and Cesar was so accommodating! Once Cesar and his crew showed up, they worked so hard to get it done quickly and with a smile (literally). They are really hard workers at a very fair price, and very nice and friendly to boot. They were also extremely careful to make sure my piano and furniture were not damaged in the process. I will definitely use them again.
P. S. When I was in PA I only had these reviews on Unilocal to rely on since I had no clue who to hire in California. Thanks for the Unilocal reviews because they did no steer me wrong with these guys!

This review is for the move on 10÷9÷2015. I’m writing this review because I was very disappointed with this move, and I wanted to let people know about my move that did not go so well. I contacted Cesar for a move from a storage unit in Oakland to an apartment in Oakland, for two movers. I initially wanted to use Commander because I was very satisfied with them in the past, as they were very professional and hard-​working. However, they had no opening on the day I needed to move, so I researched through Unilocal,and after reading the good reviews here, I contacted Cesar. Jr and Jose arrived promptly at 9:00am, as contracted. While they were moving my stuff, however, they dropped my bed foundation, and broke my bed frame. The nail of the bed frame was bent, and there were scratched on the frame. Although I heard, and I’m sure Jr also heard a loud wood cracking noise, Jr insisted he didn’t break anything, and that the foundation just fell on the ground a little bit. Like this time, I was always with the movers to see if they were doing a good job, and during the move from The Grand, my apartment in Oakland to A-​1 Storage few months ago using Commander Moving, they did not damage anything while they were moving my things. However, when I asked again, «you heard the crack, and the damage is fresh, as you can clearly see.» Yet he kept denying it. When I asked Jr the last time before they left, whether he still denies that he damaged my bed frame, and that I would call his supervisor, he replied, «Yeah, he’s my dad, call him» which sounded highly unprofessional. I understand that accidents can happen and things can break during a move. However, instead of trying to assess the situation and find a solution, when I pointed the broken bed frame, Jr responded right away with «No. It wasn’t me, I didn’t do that.» There was no point in arguing as he didn’t seem reasonable. And after calling Cesar and leaving him a message with what happened, he texted me back saying «I need to talk to Jr and Jose.» Few hours later, this is the email I got from him:
Hello Aiden,
I Already had a meeting with Jr and Jose and they already explained all the details, and the conclusion is that they didn’t damage «Box sprig» neither the «footboard». Whoever helped you before, is the one you need to contact.
I know it’s not a broken piece is just a bent bolt and a couple scratches.
So i can not help you.
Thank you very much.

Working hard and moving things fast is important. But another thing you should consider is how professionally the moving company would handle when things don’t go perfectly, and sometimes, they don’t always go perfectly as my situation shows. Even the best movers could cause an incident like this. It’s about customer service afterwards that counts. I’m sure when things go smoothly and nothing happens during a move, Cesar’s guys are a good hire. However, I wanted to let people know that when things don’t, this is how they will react. I will soon file a formal complaint with FMCSA. Hope you avoid situations like mine go through a headache like this.

I booked 2 movers for two hours to help me move into my apartment today. When they showed up, I actually had 3 movers since Caesar was there as well. They unpacked my truck in about 70 mins!
They were running late and Caesar called me to let me know well in advance.
They were very efficient at a very good price! Totally worth it!!! I will definitely call Caesar for my next move!

This was the best move ever. We had trouble finding a truck and a delay in getting our keys, but Cesar and his team were professional and accommodating. They arrived right on time and did a great job wrapping and padding everything before it went in the truck. I have never seen anyone pack a truck so well! It all arrived at the new house in perfect condition. Not one thing was broken! We had 3 guys and a 1,600 square foot house and they finished in about 5 hours. I have no complaints and would highly recommend them!

These guys definitely work hard for your business. I booked 3 hours for them to help me load a 16 foot Budget rental for my move to SoCal. I was only about 80% packed due me being disorganized leading up to the day. I had encountered some delays picking up the truck and Caesars son and crew had shown up exactly on time.
Once I showed up with the truck, these guys went straight to work. They came prepared with handtrucks, packing tape, shrinkwrap and handtools. They had me wait out by the truck and they basically finished the last 20% of the packing, including disasssembling the bed and bagging the mattress and remaining furniture with the storage bags I had provided. Even though I had a late start, they hustled and got almost everything secured in the truck exactly on schedule. They saved me a ton of stress by rounding up the remaining loose things I hadn’t had time to pack yet.
I was so happy with the quality of their work, I tipped all 3 of them $ 40 each on top of their fair prices.
I only wish I could have taken them with me to SoCal to unload.
Note: They did all of this without using the loading ramp, due to the rental truck being hitched up to an auto transport trailer, which I didn’t feel safe unhooking due to my building being on a hill, and the lack of sufficient parking. This included several very heavy items, including a rolling toolbox that must have weighed close to 150lbs. They moved all of them without so much as a complaint.

Definitely recommend these guys!
Last weekend I needed some last minute help moving and I’m so happy I found Cesar! It was so easy making a scheduled date and time for his crew to come and help load the Uhaul. The scheduled moving time was for 11AM, but they had called at 1015AM mentioning they were on their way and would get there closer to 1130. That was perfectly fine since we were still packing up some last minute things. The men arrived by 1115 and HUSTLED! They did not waste any time. I was moving from a second floor apartment unit and these guys were running up and down the stairs! Cesar himself picked up the full-​size foam mattress and carried it down like it was light as air! I was impressed!
When it was time to head out, the guys made sure that everything was secured and good to go. They followed me to the final destination, but kept it in their GPS in case he lost sight of the Uhaul. Once we got to the apartment, they quickly moved everything out of the Uhaul and into the apartment. They were considerate in asking which rooms we wanted the items placed.
These guys are highly highly highly recommended! I’ll be using them for my next move :)

I used Cesar’s guys this past weekend and they were fabulous! I was worried we would not be able to get everything done is the time we could afford to book, but his guys finished 15 minutes ahead of schedule.
All email correspondence with Cesar was professional and helpful. I even had to reschedule within a week of booking and he was very accommodating.
I would definitely use these guys again.

Cesar’s team was fantastic. We’ve used the big moving companies in the past, but Cesar’s team blew those guys away. They fit almost 3,000 sq ft of furniture and stuff into a 24′ truck. Loaded, unloaded, and setup in less than the estimated time. I’ll definitely use them again.

We have used Cesar for moving and his wife Desi for cleaning 3 more times since our first two reviews. So about 6 times in 5 years.

This service is awesome! They packed our truck quickly and nothing broke on our move to Denver. (through mountains and all!) Use them when you need to move from Oakland!

I hired Cesar and his crew in a desperate need. I needed to move with in one day and had only one day to get a moving company. I called on friday and they showed up on Saturday on time and ready to go. What a breather. They did everything I asked for and more. Wrapped everything up moved and built everything I needed with no problems and a smile on there face. Worked super hard and did made sure that we were happy. I’m a small business owner and I know what it takes to make clients happy, and they did just that. I would highly recommend them and I’m recommending them to everyone.
