Established in 1991.

Founded as «A Gardener For All Seasons» reflecting a breath of skills and services. Portfolio includes garden designs; residential and commercial installations; aesthetic pruning of small to medium sized trees, garden maintenance.

Now «Scenic Garden Creations» reflects increasing specialization in designing, building and servicing the total dwelling environment in order to bring nature’s renewal to everyday urban living.

Often jobs start with aesthetic pruning. Aesthetic pruning embraces the creative interpretation of small trees and shrubs in the urban context. The living art form combines the artistic skill of the pruner, the essence of a tree, the science of horticulture and needs of clients and surroundings.

That naturally leads to arranging all woody plants, objects, even the size and locations of windows from which to view the garden. So, Scenic Garden Creations specializes in designing, building and servicing the total dwelling environment.

Business Owner

Peter has been building & landscaping since he could hold a bucket and a trowel. None of his early works survive, but the city of button towers lives on in family lore.

In childhood, he rambled over the countryside, did barn chores, grew vegetables and creating mischief.

In adolescence he shouldered the family yard & handyman chores. Soon, he was working for the neighbors too. In high school, he worked summers/​vacations remodeling houses.

Peter left college to join the romantic movement. He apprenticed at UCSC Farm & Garden; worked at Farm & Wilderness Camps in Vermont; San Francisco League of Urban Gardeners, and remodeling houses. Along the way, he earned his university degree with honors. In 1991 he founded «A Gardener For All Seasons» reflecting a breath of services.
