Rene’s Cuddly Critter Sitting and Dog Walking

I am so grateful to have met Rene. Having known her for over 3 years, she looked after our dog several times per week while we were at work. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate Rene 15. No one comes close in terms of compassion, wisdom, care and reliability for all creatures, humans included. She goes out of her way to treat your dog and home as if they were her own, even when they are a handful! Rene’s patience and kindness and communication are unparalleled. Our dog would wait for Rene at the window when she was scheduled to arrive (which was visible on our DropCam). A consummate professional, I’ve really never met anyone like Rene. Our dog’s longevity (16 years) and my peace of mind were in large part a credit to her. If looking for a pet sitter or dog walker, you could not find a better person. She makes your life easier, your pet’s life richer, she is one of a kind.

Rene is a gem. She takes care of my cat when I’m out of town, and I never have to worry. She sends me updates, pictures, and notifies me if something’s up with kitty, such as a hairball or mood change.
I live in a house with roommates, and Rene has been very kind to them. She always checks in to make sure I’ve made it back home after a trip and am safely with my kitty again. She’s very flexible with my sometimes-​sketchy travel plans and has been available for care every time we’ve needed her. I can’t recommend her highly enough– she is one to trust with your sweet furry companions!

Rene has been taking care of my cat for years when I go out of town, and she is simply the best! When I’m gone, I know my cat is in good hands, getting all the attention she needs. She always checks in, asks the right questions, and keeps a close eye out for anything awry. She is also a true lover of animals, I would not trust anyone else!

Rene is absolutely amazing. I have a 3 year old Border Terrier who can be a bit of a handful (loving but dog aggressive.) I went for a few test walks with Rene before she did some overnight sitting with our little monster. She was terrific! She knew exactly how to work through his challenges but was also very compassionate and loving towards our dog.
She’s super communicative whether it’s just a simple walk in the afternoon or an overnight stay. I always know that she’s looking out for, and loving my dog.
It’s hard to find a good dog walker/​sitter but I have absolute trust in Rene. She’s the best!

Rene was fantastic every step of the way. When we first met she was very organized with her paperwork and scheduling. She made sure she had all the info she needed, and was also very interested in getting to know my two cats. Once the vacation started, she texted me to let me know the cats were OK, checked in now and then throughout the trip, and also made sure to text when we were scheduled to arrive so she knew the cats were taken care of even after her time was up.
The cats were happy and relaxed when we got home; it was clear they’d gotten plenty of attention. I was especially impressed that my skittish boy cat, who usually hides from strangers, had been affectionate with her and wasn’t at all freaked out by our long absence.
Rene clearly has a great touch with animals, and is wonderful for humans to work with too!

It’s never been easy for me to leave my pets behind when I go out of town-​even for a fabulous vacation. My pets are my family. I love them, worry about them and always give them the best care possible. And this is precisely why I hire Rene to be the surrogate parent when I’m away. She is simply the best, most responsible, caring, attentive to detail pet sitter that I have met. She follows my instructions meticulously, is respectful to my home, but it is her loving attention to my dogs and cats that clinches it for me. As much as we hate to admit it we have difficult dogs. Snickers would like to kill all other dogs and strangers in the world. Lulu is a hound, need I say more. To top it all off every so often Snickers wants to kill Lulu. Our family loves our difficult canine members, except it was a challange to go on vacation. That was until we found Rene. When Snickers and Rene first met she attempted to bite Rene’s hand. A month or so later Rene was taking care of both of our misfits for a week without incident. We have been using Rene for sitting and dog walking for over six years. Everytime we return for a trip we find the house clean and the dogs sad that we are home and Rene is gone. She has mastered the challenge of taking care of our dogs (and feeding the fish). I highly recommend her to anyone who has socially inept pets and even folks that have normal pets. She is awesome.

Ok, run as fast as you can, plead and beg Rene to sit for your pets!
Not only did she come over for over an hour to our home to meet the dogs and get to know us, she checked-​in with us before we left and during our trip. We have a fussy little dog quickly charmed and made our older one feel special, as well. The house is immaculate, dogs happy and we were able to enjoy our trip knowing all was well on the home front.
