West Wind Coliseum Swap Meet

This place is literally hit or miss… I went one week and there were very few vendors. I went today and there were a ton of vendors and I even found a vendor selling clothes for $ 0.50! I’ll definitely visit again.

This flea market is still poppin .My grandparents always took me here every Sunday after church when I was younger. I recently went on a weekday with my grandma and my daughter and we had a blast.
I spent a total of 8 $ on.

Like we already know what to expect.
And honestly I can’t wait for the next visit.

Please avoid this flea market becouse is not safe place to be or buy, this place is full of stolen staff for for sale for big crime organization, avoid this flea market, you can get hurt, people already got kill so stay away and don’t sponsor crime

Window tint shop at flea market was fast very professional and a good price I really recommend it! Talk to the man that helped me out his name is Abel

This place is terrible it is not organized to go and sell. The line of cars forms the day before on the street. All the sellers know each other and if you are new they dont like you so they tell the security u just pulled in and cut line then they dont let you sell for a few weeks thats the penalty. But they dont investigate, we try talking to the manager and he did want to hear us. The place is dirty the bathrooms are disgusting and out of paper. The food they sell its the worst i had. Never going there.

I’m updating this review from a 2 star to a 4 star for only one reason only. That there are certain days that are better than others. We originally went on a weekend and did not like it at all (see past review), but if you go on a weekday specifically a Tuesday or Friday its completely different, the entire flea market is an actual flea market. You can find about anything on those days. Theres also no loud music, its much quieter and not as nearly as crowed as the weekend. If your looking to find flea market items, I would recommend going during the week.

Went there on my day off have a lot of junk and good stuff if you love make up here is the place to go you can find a lot of good name brand make up if you are a cosmetology student this is highly recommended

WARNING!!! Watch out for a women named Sofie who sells custom car seat covers. She wasted over a month of my time. I paid her a deposit. She agreed to schedule a time to measure my car. Within the same week she measured a different car that she thought was the same as mine, and because of that she refused to honor our agreement in measuring my car. I insisted that she measure to avoid any sizing or fit issues, but she refused. She tried to convince me that she’d already measured the exact same model of car.
I trust her, and a week later paid her the remaining balance, took home to covers to install in my car… and guess what? SHE WAS WRONG. She measured a different model of car. The seat covers were not sewn for my model of car, I did not get what we paid for or agreed upon. I called her to explain what happened. I left numerous messages. It took her two weeks to get back to me. When she finally called me back we made an appointment for me to come back to the flea market so she can measure the car. When I got there she refused to measure it saying she knows what the problem was just from looking at the car in person. Again going back on our agreement. This time she’d already been paid in f so she didn’t care how she was talking to me or treating me. The sweet old lady Sofie I met was now an evil business man. Again she wasted my time, and tried to rush me along so she could get back to her new customers before she was done working with me, an unsaftisfied customer who she’s swindled! She caused me so much hassle. She sent over a man who works for her to measure my car, it took him an hour to measure my headrest (which he was upset that I wouldn’t let him take home for a week. mind you I’m driving a brand new 2015 car I’m not going to detach and give you my head rest are you insane??? Yes he was!) when he came time for him to measure my back seat, he reused also claiming he didn’t need to measure he already know how it should fit without measuring. Not to mention is marked my actual car with black permanent marker! I think he did it intentionally, he didn’t like that I was holding him to agreement that I had with Sofie for him to measure he car. He offered to clean he stain with alcohol claiming it would get it out. But at this point I was livid. Why would I let this idiot touch anything in my car again? It was A HORRIBLE WASTE OF TIME doing business with Sofie. I had to demand a full refund. Watch out for Sofie, Pat and Pepe. And Indian family at the coliseum flea market.

I was hesitant to try this swap meet based on the reviews but really glad my friend insisted! We are both from out of town visiting the Bay area but wanted to try something different. We went on a Saturday and paid a $ 1.25 entrance fee. We arrived at about 8:30am and most vendors were nearly set up. They had a great mix of new and used items. New items included Jordans, clothes, perfume/​cologne (great deal by one vendor), etc. Used items as expected from household items to electronics. We didn’t try the food but it smelled outstanding. You can easily walk through all vendors within 1 ½ hours. Go if you are in the area.

Entrance fee is not bad considering the potential for this to be a great place to search for goodies. I was mildly disappointed by all the «new» things sold at this «swap meet». I arrived ready to dive into mounds of second hand wares… but that was not the case. What one can find are lots of heavy blankets (San Marcos type) and tons of snacks Mexi mercado-​like. Random toiletries and dried chili covered mango a plenty.
I happen to score 4 etched wine glasses in decent condition for a buck each, but that was it.
Be prepared for some fun people watching and bring a hat, it gets warm even on an overcast day!

This was the worst! Me and my wife and son went here to look. We enjoyed the experience UNTIL my wife made her first purchase. She spoke to a gentlemen selling tools and asked about a staple gun (because she is doing crafts) she asked how much and then asked if it had staples in it for her to try. The seller told us he had none (when in fact the gun was loaded and broken) my wife not knowing better purchased it. When she showed me and I tried to test it. What do Ya know broken 100%. About 4 – 5 mins after purchasing the gun, we approached the seller and told him he lied to us and said the gun was not loaded and worked fine. I showed him the staples jammed inside and encouraged him to test it to prove it works. After he knew he was defeated, he denied selling this to my wife. Despite her being in tears for being ripped off. He refused to even exchange it. This place is a joke if this is how it’s allowed to be ran. Letting crooks be the judge and jury. I work in oakland and will inform everyone to stay away from this joke.

Price Fixing!
I went to find a replacement charger for my laptop, which I needed that day, hence the decision not to buy online. I found that every seller (I talked to six) was selling my model of charger for exactly $ 25 in any condition. I felt that was an unfair price because I could order a replacement online for less. I also noticed, other charger models all had the exact same price across sellers: some models were $ 15 across sellers. The first five sellers were unwilling to negotiate on price, despite my showing them the online prices for new units. I did get one seller to agree to knock $ 5 off of the price if I promised not to mention that to any of the other sellers.
This is not a competitive market. Whoever is running this racket should be shut down.

I haven’t been to this flea market in years until i went back 2 weeks ago everything seems to be the same i like this flea market better then the one next to Laney maybe cause its bigger and more vendors.

After living in JLS for 10 years and moving away I finally decided to come to the swap meet. We had a great time! My hubby actually got a massage. I had to push him to do it and at $ 10 for 20 min how could it go wrong? Well 2 minuets into it they asked him if he wanted to extend it to $ 20 for 40 min and he was more than willing! He said it was one of the best massages he’s ever had! LOL! Who would have thought?!? In the mean time, my LO and I walked around looking at the variety of stuff sold. I bought a hair clip for $ 1 and my LO got to play in the jumper for 10 min for $ 3! Since she is only 14 months they let me come inside with her. Afterwards we had a snack of pupusas and horchata and headed home. All in all it was fun, cheap, and local! Wouldn’t come her every weekend but once in a blue moon seems like a great family outing. Some of he reviews complained about finding parking but we were lucky. We found great parking within minutes of arriving! It was great! Came on a Saturday morning around 11:30 or so. Have fun!

How could anyone not like a flea market, especially this one? They have plenty of parking, cheap entrance fees, a refreshment stand, an arcade and tons of vendors to browse through. Any day is a good day to come here, they are open 7 days a week and have long hours, but the best days to come are definitely Saturday and Sunday. They are gonna be the most expensive days to get in (Still less than $ 2 per adult), but will be the days that you will find the best stuff for sale. Items range in prices from around 25 cents to a few hundred dollars, so come early and bring plenty of cash (ATM Fees Suck).

WARNING!!! There are literally a pike of lost kids here. The things sold here are either all broken, super dusty or dirty.
They kept making announcements for «found kids»
Certain stands had numerous bikes. (So the other reviews are true, all stolen .)
Other stands had toddlers in their trash, just hanging out.
And they sold weapons. Guess that was kinda interesting. BEWARE. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.
Only pro: it was only 50 cents to get in so you’ll feel like a balla on a budget. Then it goes downhill @ a dangerous pace.

Came around 10am on a Sunday. Parking was free, easy to find and close to the entrance. Admission on Sundays is 1.50 which I justified was for the experience and people watching.
When I first got there, there weren’t many customers, which I like, less crowded! I was able to walk with ease, which usually isnt the case. Around 12 – 1 it started getting reallllly crowded. I had to maneuver through the walkway with focus.
I was there for about 3 – 4 hours and there were more vendors constantly coming in and setting up throughout my visit. Overall it was an okay experience. Most tables have the same thing which is annoying as you walk because you think you’re walking in circles. Bought an iphone5 charger and it doesnt work, of course. $ 2 for it was too good to be true.
BARGAIN and LISTEN to initial prices. A friend of mine asked how much nail polish was and said it was 3 for 5. After my friend was about to pay she said it was 2 for 5. She did not buy anything from them. Dont let people take advantage of you!

Sundays this place is craaaaaaaaaackin’!
If it’s your first time coming out here just follow cars that are headed in that direction.
I came out here on a Sunday and got what I expected, A SHIT LOAD OF PEOPLE! I actually didn’t have much trouble getting a parking spot. Although I will add that people suck at parking here, so do not be surprised to see a spot but not be able to fit into it because people are parking all janky.
I’d have to say I was not please with the fact that there’s an entrance fee waaaaack, some would day well its just a $ 1.50 but damn I could’ve used that to get a curro or something!
My favorites in particular at this swap meet are the used goods, you can find some pretty cool stuff and of course hussle on prices. Saw someone selling some cool toys and old school video games.
Other than that everything else are like bootlegs, clothing, and random goods. But yes this place is crackin and there was even a band playin while I was there.
Going once every few months would be alright not really the type of place to hit up every weekend. But I guess it’s cool since this spot is open throughout the week?

Don’t bother going when it rains … (duh I guess?) — but hey, there’s plenty of parking!
With the fruit and dried food you can get some good deals … but nothing terribly interesting otherwise.
We went for carseats covers, found only 1 vendor (again, it was raining) and her stuff was bleh. We ended up finding carseat covers for a fraction of the price at Grocery Outlet. Go figure?!

This is a fairly large flea market with a little more fun than most of the others in the area. Some vendors even set up some fun for the kids: mechanical bull, blow up fun houses, slides, cartoon animals to sit on There’s also some adult fun to be had if you’re into mariachi or Spanish vocals. They also have multiple booths throughout, selling beer or micheladas at reasonable prices. If you’re hungry, there’s plenty of food and snacks for sale here too.
What kind of treasures might you find here? Well, my objective was to find a cruiser bike for Burning Man. I expected to see more bikes here but didn’t. Maybe, another weekend would make a difference. Nevertheless, I did find one Schwinn cruiser bike and walked off with it for $ 60. Besides, the shortage of bikes, there were plenty of other things sold here in abundance.

There is an entrance fee of $.50 during the week, $ 1.25 on Saturday and $ 1.50 on Sundays. There is plenty of parking although it can get crowded sometimes. I would not recommend driving your fancy car here. Some of the spaces can be tight. Security in the parking lot is monitored by security in a tall watch tower.
