A Touch of Elegance Salon

I came in here for a new look about a day ago and it turned out wonderful hair is like artwork and I’m loving my new portrait! Keith the stylist who highlighted and cut off all my dry ends took his time and is a perfectionist when it comes to your hair so it turns out fabulous thanks a lot will be back again. Great salon!

A wonderful salon! Being new in town and needing my highlight and color redone… wasn’t too sure were to go. So happy that I found ATOE! Called in the morning and they were even able to work me that afternoon. Appointment was with Keith… he did an amazing job! Love the color and highlights. Price was very reasonable and service was wonderful. Keith gives you a nice relaxing head/​scalp massage once he his done with shampooing… one of the best parts. Was so happy with the services, color and highlights that I went back a couple days later for a Brazilian Blowout. Loving my new hair!!! Super excited that I found this salon and Keith.

They are amazing!!! Couldn’t be happier with my hair. The prices are amazing also. Treatment is wonderful. Committed to making you feel great about your hair. definitely going to make this my primary hair salon.

I do not live in Oceanside but I needed to get my hair cut and colored. This salon was recommended to me. Keith did my hair and did a good job. The color came out the way I wanted and the cut was also very good. After the shampoo, Keith gave me a fantastic head massage. To me the cost of the haircut was a little high since I have short hair, but Keith took the time to cut it the way I wanted. I would go back again.

I was so happy to find A Touch Of Elegance! I am new to Oceanside and have been putting off looking for a new salon for awhile now. I called in on a whim the day before I needed my hair done (during the fourth of July weekend) and they were able to schedule me in at a reasonable time. Keith worked on my hair, I showed him a picture of the color I wanted and he was able to match it completely! He was super easy to talk to and did a great job on my hair. I love it so much! I was very apprehensive about going to a new salon and trusting someone with my hair but the salon was adorable, very clean, and all the stylists were friendly and amazing!

Carissa always does a great job, always careful to understand what it is you want, and then creates the style beautifully! She’s excellent with color, as well.

Love the salon, but definitely wouldn’t recommend Keith personally. I went in before work one morning on a whim and left the salon with wet, frizzy hair. I felt like it had taken entirely too long to be sent out 10 minutes before work after three hours of sitting there for a simple cut and color, but at least it was semi cost effective.

Love this place! It’s so cute and the atmosphere is so relaxing! I got an ombré with Laura, she is so nice and we chatted the whole time. Made me feel super welcome and comfortable. My hair looks great also. I will definitely be back. Thanks Laura!!:)

I’m not much of a reviewer unless I’m incredibly happy or incredibly disappointed in this case I’m super excited that I just found my new go-​to salon!!! I came to Carrissa after two previous bad experiences and one attempt of just trying to do it myself so that she could fix the mess. I wear my hair short and it has been incredibly difficult to find a stylist that actually listens to how my hair works instead of just giving me the standard pixie/​borderline bowl cut. Carrissa was reassuring that she could help and also really open to my suggestions. My hair looks cooler than I could have even described to her yet exactly what I asked for! Honestly, this is the sexist my hair has ever felt! I wasn’t just a warm seat filling up a slot, she was really perceptive to the way my hair would lay after the just-​styled salon glamour would wear off and cut my hair so that it would grow out in an actual shape instead of the Ringo Starr look that I usually end up with a week after. She was so patient with my requests and actually took the time to stop and show me and ask questions. She even sent me home with a free styling product!!! Like I said, I usually don’t write reviews but she was so great and I she genuinely seemed to care. And good people don’t get enough credit sometimes and she deserves it! So I hope that this will be the first spot that anyone reading this goes to instead of learning the hard way like me. But hey, everything happens for a reason and ultimately I’m grateful for all the bad hair cuts because they make this day so so sooooo much sweeter!!!

I went in to A touch of Elegance hoping to get out with a new, different, feel good about myself hair cut, but unfortunately I walked out not that satisfied with my hair. I wanted a short hair cut, but she convinced me not too but good thing she did otherwise I would have walked out with a much worse hair do. We finally agreed that a cut length to my collar bone would be perfect cause that’s the style that’s in right now. As soon as she started cutting my hair she was cutting rather slow, not at a pace that a hair stylist that knows what they’re doing, but a pace that she didn’t know what she was doing. I got discouraged and I knew that if I stopped her it would have been too late. I have curly hair so I mentioned if she can cut in short layers cause I didn’t want a triangle shape hair style. Well too keep the story short, she butchered my hair. Parts of my hair is completely uneven and she gave me a triangle look to my hair. And she didn’t even cut my hair in layers, or should I say short layers there wasn’t a single layer that was done to my hair. I wouldn’t recommend going to this place and if you are don’t make an appointment with Laura.
I wanted to make an over do update, I thank Carissa for taking the time to call me and apologizing for the horrible haircut I received a few months back by laura. I have to say she really cares about her clients she offered to refund my money back which she did. The place isn’t bad just a bad hairstylist, I’d recommend this place only because they really do care for the hairstyling they do for their clients.

This place is wonderful first of all its so cozy and clean! Laura styled my hair and at first I was very nervous, a I had long hair about my mid back. Although she did a wonderful job she made sure I was okay with the length and the color and even fixed it for me so I could look super cute coming out!

I searched out a new hairdresser because the one I was going to stopped listening to what I wanted. Carissa has done a wonderful job, I have been there two times so far and the service has been exceptional. I had a couple hairpieces done and my sister even complimented me on the haircut not realizing it was a hair piece to give me a little height which is a very rare occasion.

I went into ATOE three days after a bad dye job at another salon in carlsbad. I showed the stylist what I really wanted my hair to look like in hopes that she could fix it. It ended up being the best hair appointment I have ever had. My hair looked perfect and I left feeling beautiful and relaxed. I will definitely be coming back for my next appointment. Thank you guys so much!

Loved this place, home like atmosphere makes it cozy and enjoyable!!! Melissa did a great job and I will never go to anyone else. I have been to salons from North Hollywood to LA to San Diego and I will go no where else ever again. Ask for Melissa she is great and she cut my hair exactly how I want it and perfect bangs!!!

The reviews on this hair salon don’t lie! 5 Stars is well deserved. I was trying to find a new hair place that was closer to home. We all know how tedious and anxious we can all get to find a new stylist. I called on a Tuesday and was booked for a Friday morning for color and cut. There was plenty of parking and it is so cute that the salon is a little home.
I had no idea the owner was going to be my stylist but she had no idea how much I was going to love what she did to my hair ;) The Stylist/​Owner was very talkative, friendly, bubbly, and very professional. I noticed all her employees were also happy and pleased with being there. The Owner told me she rents out spaces to individuals which makes this place unique.
Now on to the cut and color dets… Love!!! I showed her a picture of what I was looking for and described the color I wanted she hit it nail on! During the whole time I noticed many other customers coming in and out and there hair looked just as gorgeous! I think the name A Touch of Elegance fits this salon wonderfully! Great prices! Great Staff! There is something about this place that makes you think you are surrounded with all your BFF’s! I will be coming here as long as I can I love and so will you!

Carissa gave my son a stylish haircut for the new school year with excellent services. She listened to what I wanted and more importantly what he wanted and blended these requests flawlessly. I wouldn’t advise changing anything. I personally like the shampoo and head massage. Everything is great and I am looking forward to coming here for many more years.

I came to Carissa at A Touch of Elegance Salon with what i thought was a nightmare of a hair-​do. She took an idea of what i wanted and a week later (today) i walked out of her salon with the most amazing hair color! I honestly did not think it was going to turn out so good compared to what she was working with. I love my hair!
Its such a cute Salon, with a boutique inside as well. She offers you something to drink and its very easy-​going, friendly conversation the entire time. Ive been to a few different places in the Socal area to get my hair done ever since i moved here and this is by far the BEST PLACE! I will definitely be recommending her to all of my friends. Thank you Carissa I feel so pretty! :)

I love getting my hair done A Touch Of Elegance! Carissa does an excellent job, every time! She has taken my hair color from black to red, to brown, to blond and everything in between. I have been getting my hair done with her for 7 years now and she is the only one I trust with my fragile fine hair. She gives an amazing scalp massage and is very highly skilled with cuts and color. I highly recommend getting your hair done with Carissa.
