Wow. Incredible food and beer. Current and top level beer. Knowledgeable and attentive service. The real word for this place is just wow! I had the fried green tomatoes and Cali cauliflower. Both amazing. They had mostly all the Ballast Point variety I love even a new one for me to try and love. A chill spot with world class food, beer, and service.

Great Tap List and solid food choices. One block from the train station. Great way to start an Oceanside Brew tour day. Make sure to stop at Bagby’s a few blocks south as well.

Cool local hang out with great service! Excellent sounding menu, it’s impossible not to over order! We ordered the fried green tomatoes as well as the brisket fries as starters, the tomatoes not my thing and pretty pricey for the portion size. I should have paid attention that the brisket fries were not your typical brown gravy poutine, but were drenched in a smoked gouda cheese sauce, very heavy and really not what I was hoping or in the mood for, also the egg way too runny for my taste, I like at least the white to be firm. When I asked if they had a kids menu, I was told the options for a kids meal being the mac and cheese or a burger and when I asked the price I was told, the same. Not really putting it together that it meant a $ 13 Cab burger just minus all of the toppings, bummer had I known that i would have looked at any of the adult options for him. I had the quinoa burger, tasty and filling. My husband the 60⁄40 and really disliked the chorizo and only finished half. While they have a great menu with tons of options I will have to come back and try, it was a real hit or miss so far and a bit too pricey for things not to be on point. Really loved the vibe, great seating outside on a lovely day, hoping for a better meal next time.

My hubby and i love this place, the food, staff,& Ambience are ace! We try and order different meals each time we go, its all delicious. Start with the Beef Brisket with fries its an ample amount and serves 2 to 3 easily as a starter. I had the Seafood Stew… OMG to die for!!! I am making myself hungry thinking about it. The Chef is so creative, you MUST go everything is so tasty!

Hate to sound like a broken record but the quinoa burger was delicious! My husband got the 60⁄40 burger which I can only guess was amazing because he wouldn’t let me have a bite. We brought our dog Dora and sat on the patio covered in artificial grass. She loved it! We will definitely be returning :)

Awesome awesome food! Great little place with a strong offering of food and drinks. The dish that keeps bringing me back here is the French dip sandwich. I know that sounds random since that sandwich is typically boring and bland, but I’m telling you, soooooo good here. Tons of flavor and freshness. Their burgers are amazing too! I’ve gone here with plenty of parties and people have tried a little bit of everything and no one has ever complined about their meal. The only reason I couldn’t give it 5 stars is that it is really noisy in there most always as it’s typically packed with customers and they still play the music pretty loud on top of that. Makes it difficult to hear or understand your server. I’ve also been a couple times when our service was slow maybe due to being understaffed? Not gonna stop me from going back though.

I saw their S’mores dessert on Instagram & I had to come here! I came here Saturday for brunch & it was busy! They have a lot of televisions playing several sport games. S’mores = Coconut graham crackers, dark chocolate, burnt marshmallow, & salted caramel gelato — Yes! A s’mores dessert done right! Everything just paired so deliciously together. The salted caramel gelato was not too sweet which was perfect because it evened out the sweetness of everything else.

I loooooooooooooooveeee LTH! Two of my favorite neighbors work here! ;) Their 60⁄40 Fritta Burger is so bomb, I usually get it every time I come in. I live down the street so I’m here 2 to 3 times a week… Either eating here or taking it to go! Their WTF Slow Cooked Brisket Fries with the yummy soft beer braised brisket meat, gooey smoked gouda cheese gravy, and perfect addition of a sunny side egg is one of my favorite smothered fries dishes in North County! And right now, my favorite dessert is their maple bacon bread pudding a la mode!!! Ohhhh all the salty and sweet goodness! Its more than enough to share with others!!! They are dog and child friendly! Which is a plus and also an uncommon thing here in coastal Oceanside… This is definitely a local hang out spot. Super casual feel.

This place has amazing food and a great selection of local brews. The service is almost always friendly and fast and the atmosphere is casual and upbeat. It’s a bit loud sometimes tho. We eat here a few times a month.

Breakfast, something that makes the weekends the best cause I get to eat it. Recently we went to Local Tap House for breakfast and it was great. Here are the reasons why… 1. Lack of breakfasters —(in whisper tone) Don’t tell too many people but there is no one there. You can see the lines form outside Curbside in Vista, Pipes in Solana Beach and Beach Break in Oceanside. There was no one at 10am at LTH so go but don’t tell anyone. 2. Drink prices — Who doesn’t like a mimosa for breakfast on the weekend? Answer… no one. For $ 3, you got to love LTHs mimosa’s, also they are delicious. 3. Delicious food — I had the Short rib breakfast burrito… so good. It came with fresh fruit as well for $ 13, not too bad. All food looked really good. 4. Outdoor feel — The open air restaurant allows for the nice sea breeze to come in and makes it not super loud. Improvements…need to try more food to confirm a 5. Seriously, more breakfast cocktails would be great other than mimosa and Bloody Mary. Service was a little slow as well but it is Saturday… who cares really. Can’t wait to go back. You all need to go.

HIGHLIGHTS: flavorful food, unique cocktails, S’mores! I’ve been more stingy with my 5-star ratings lately, but I have to give it to LTH. It’s a pretty small(cozy) place so I can see it getting really busy, but they layout isn’t bad. Large bar height wooden tables are enjoyable, especially for us tall folk. Service was friendly and our meals came quickly. I personally enjoyed the Korean BBQ Short Rib Grilled Cheese(Kim Chi Coleslaw, Caramelized Onions, Tempura Pickles, White Cheddar, Green Sriracha Aioli, Jalapeño Sourdough) served with fries. The fries had a sweet seasoning on them. I really enjoyed that sandwich; the flavors all complemented each other really well. I knew it was going to be soggy the next day, but there was no way I wasn’t taking the other half home! My girlfriends ordered the 60⁄40 Fritta Burger(delicious also, has a chorizo and beef patty), Kim Chi Farro Fried Rice(was really good, you must like seafood), and the Mac n Cheese. Everything was great, I can’t wait to go back for the Pecan Crusted Salmon! Beverage-wise, we ordered a Pacific Storm(probably my fav although I didn’t order it), a vodka or tequila drink with cucumber(very refreshing and not too strong) and I forgot the name of what I had but it had Maple Crown Royal(good but I wouldn’t order it again). Saving the best for last: DESSERT! The initial reason we went to LTH was for the S’mores. And it was my favorite thing there. Salted caramel gelato with coconut graham cracker, dark chocolate, and burnt marshmallows. I die! We also ordered a Butterscotch Salted Pretzel Bread Pudding with maple pecan ice cream and candy bacon and pecans. This was the crowd favorite I think… it was delicious. They’re sized for 2 – 3 people to share, but I won’t judge you if you down a whole one yourself :) You probably deserve it!

Wow, I was blown away by this restaurant. We came here for brunch on a Sunday and the wait was around 20 minutes. I loved the open space and the outdoor patio which was pet friendly. We were drooling as we watched everyone’s order walk by. The smell and presentation was amazing! Finally our food came out, and we were all excited to dig in. We ordered short rib breakfast burrito, the brussels sprouts, the brisket fries and the beignets. First bite into the burrito, and we were all speechless. Get their sweet hot sauce to with it and it was the best breakfasts burrito ever. The beignets were perfect fried doughs of amazeballs! I loved the honey whipped cream and berries that accompanied it. The brisket fries were crispy, with bits of Gouda cheese, chunks of brisket and topped with an egg. It was perfect for sharing… or just for yourself. The brussel sprouts had a sweet orange glaze and bleu cheese and was probably one of my favorite brussel sprouts ever. Everything was amazing and I highly recommend coming here for brunch!!! I know I’ll be back for sure!

ITSDECEMBER… shut the windows at 9pm please! This place is awesome if it’s warm out but they leave the windows wide open with only«hot» light bulbs trying to keep you warm. Eventually they closed them but only as everyone left before that. The service was good, the food was good. The cauliflower is to die for you have to try it out. I had the noodles and scallops, way too strong of a sauce and way too much sauce over all. I eat a lot of curry and it was overbearing flavor wise. My friend had the fried rice and it was also«sauced out». Besides too much sauce, the food was pretty good. I had a better experience the two other times that I went, but needless to say it was overall a good place– good beer selection. Enjoy!

By far the best of the new places in Oceanside. I have been coming here since the day it opened which was actually my birthday. Came in for lunch to try it out and decided that was were my birthday dinner would be held as well. If your into craft beer like I am you will be delighted by the selections. They also have some craft cocktails as well. But the food is what sets this place apart from any of the other tap houses around town. It’s amazing ! Never had anything that wasn’t excellent ! Everyone I have brought here has been hooked by the food as well. If you haven’t been put this on your to do list. Saturday and Sunday is bottomless mimosa days. Just saying.

This place is located by the Oceanside Coaster station and I never really noticed it until my girlfriend invited me here for my early birthday dinner with some friends. I was happy to see that they have their own parking structure, which is not really common in Downtown Oceanside. The parking may be limited if you get there later in the evening but there were ample spots for me at 4:30. I walked in and saw my girlfriends and sat right down on this large wooden table. I like the feel and décor of this place. Very whimsical and rustic, and not pretentious. I saw that my girlfriends were drinking wine or prosecco so I got one for myself. For my entrée, I got the butter poached king crab grilled cheese. It was good but I wasn’t impressed. However, the fries that came with it were delicious, they had cajun seasonings on them, I couldn’t stop eating the fries! My other girlfriends got the quinoa burger which looked delish and my girl Anisha got crispy chicken cheddar melt and she wasn’t a fan. I guess certain things are a hit or miss here. What made this place 4 stars is the dessert! We got the Orange Honey Goat Cheese Beignets and they were out of this world! The honeycomb made the dish that much better and the goat cheese wasn’t overbearing like most desserts with goat cheese. It was very mild and I couldn’t stop eating it! The service was also wonderful, our waitress was very catering to us and when they only had blue cheese for the quinoa burger, she double checked with my friends before just putting the order in and allowed my girlfriend to substitute the blue cheese for something else. She was also very understanding to my friend not liking her sandwich. I’ll definitely give this place another chance, even if it means just eating their desserts and drinking wine. :)

Burr I will say the one thing about this place, it’s quite chilly this time of year in the evening so bring a jacket you plan on wearing. But the atmosphere is fun & trendy, the food is enjoyable and they have a great cocktail list. We of course started the night with drinks! I enjoyed a glass of wine, the guys enjoyed several beers from the large selection and the gals went for some of the fruity cocktails and everyone enjoyed everything. My co workers raved about the brisket fries, I’m not a meat eater but they must have been good as a second order shortly landed on our table! I personally enjoyed the cauliflower dish which was good and everyone enjoyed the sandwiches and other dishes they’d ordered. It’s a good spot for hanging with friends, a casual date night, plenty of larger tables for groups or go as a duo and sit community style. SD is typically warm, we’ve had some strange weather the last few weeks but my only negative is that I was extremely cold but once they turned the outside heaters on it got a little warmer inside. LTH definitely brings something new and exciting to Oceanside, with our office being in Carlsbad we tend to go to the compass often so with the selection of food and drinks they have here, we now have a new spot to head to on a Friday.

My first review still stands but I have to upgrade this place from 4 stars to 5. This is now my favorite place to hit up in Oceanside. I just love the look and feel of everything about LTH. It’s a small place but it packs a serious punch. What they’re doing, they’re doing right and I’m grateful for it. Great food, great service from Brianna B, and $ 12.00 bottomless mimosas for this last visit and five days later I’m still riding high from my great experience.

What a find! I’ve driven by this place countless times & always promised myself I’d stop in one day. Well, I just exited the freeway due to lousy traffic and the yearning for a burger & beer. Came here, and discovered a brunch phenomenon: Bottomless Mimosas and perhaps my favorite Huevos Rancheros preparation around.(See attached photo) Oh, and, you bet your a_s I’ll be back for that burger, they’ve got something on the menu called the 60⁄40 which is evidently part beef and,…ha ha,…part chorizo??? Come on??? Oh, and their tap selection reads like a SD all star list.

This is definitely in my top 5 list for Oceanside dining venues. The food that comes out of here is some of the best I have had. I also give them 5 stars for their environmental aesthetics. They have one of the best patios along the PCH and they are woof friendly! On our recent visit my husband and I shared a starter, a salad, an entrée and dessert. They were all exceptional! The Burrata Goat Cheese and Fried Green Tomatoes and the Orange Honey Goat Cheese Beignets… are just too good for words(and may be better explained in my photos)!I cannot even imagine the other items we didn’t try on the menu, which basically guarantees a return to continue trying items from their menu! LTH offers a diverse beer, wine and cocktail selection. My husband enjoyed a local craft beer and I tried the Panti Drop — a refreshing beverage served martini style for a hot summer night. I am sure they will continue with innovating their food and beverage creations. Visit here during off hours or be prepared to wait at peak times… LTH is where it’s at for us right now!

«LTH» is serious about bringing the«local» into it’s tap house. This eatery embraces south Oceanside and it’s industrial, modern, «Beach Boys California» feel. The restaurant opened it’s doors last summer, taking over the 80-year-old Vaughn’s Market on S. Coast Highway. The first thing you will notice is the open concept featuring custom bar furnishings hand made by the owner with some help from local artisans. The outside seating adds to the open concept of the restaurant. A great beer and wine list, as well as craft cocktails will keep you hydrated. For wine you can get a California Cabernet Sauvignon or Pinot Noir. But this is a Tap House, so try the excellent local beers on tap; Ale Smith, Booze Brothers, Mother Earth, Stone, Pizza Port, Latitude 33, Green Flash, Lost Abbey, Ballast Point, Rip Current, and Saint Archer. It is the same menu for lunch or dinner, but it is a good menu nonetheless. Local ingredients sourced from Valdivia and Go Green Farms of Carlsbad. Everything is made fresh and from scratch. This includes dressings, sauces, pickles, hand-cut french fries, desserts, and even potato chips. Some standout menu items to consider are the Short Rib, Pulled Pork, or Beer Braised Brisket Dishes/Sandwiches/Burritos; Chorizo, Quinoa, and Regular Burgers(because it’s a tap house); Pecan Crusted Salmon, Cioppino, or Seared Tuna(because we’re at the ocean); and finally a Caesars, Crab, Burratta, or Strawberry Salad(because you want dessert). #EatDesset #LifeIsBeautiful #YoudDoTheSameForMe
