Dropped off my ’06 Subaru for an inspection & opinion after getting an iffy quote/​diagnostic from another repair shop that had been taken over by a new owner (it shall not be named). This quote was accurate, honest and fully explained– made more sense and was at least half the work/​$ of the former quote I would have had to pay. My new repair shop. Ralph is amazing. Very practical and will vehemently disagree with you if you want to add something useless to your vehicle. He gets the job done in an exemplary manner, and is one of those mechanics that is a true mechanic, one with knowledge about each and every car out there. So why go here? I have a 2005 Volvo and needed a standard 60K service. Karp thought charging about 800 with taxes and fees would be «fair» and Ralph laughed. Total here? 400 flat. That’s FIFTY percent less. I mean come on, I have NEVER received 50 percent off. So, it came as a bit of a shock (in a good way). This is the only place I’ll go to for my automotive needs.

If I could rate this place 10 stars, I would! Ralph treats you like family and never makes you spend more than necessary. He is the most honest, accommodating and down-​to-​earth man in the auto repair biz! Ever since taking my car here for the first time a few years ago I have never gone back to any other place. My car is old, needs lots of TLC and Ralph, Howie and team always perform quality work with a quick turn-​around! I am a loyal customer and highly recommend this place!

Best place around to service your car. Fast, reasonable and friendly. Ralph is the owner and has a loyal, dedicated crew who has been with him for years. I get everything from inspection, oil changes, brakes, etc. and they have been fair and honest. Never a problem and highly recommended. Nice seating area, free coffee, great fish tanks to watch. Or drop early and pickup late.

I needed to get the brakes checked out in my mother-​in-​laws car and I called mid day on a Thursday, Ralph said to bring it in early the next morning and they would be able to check it out right away. I brought it in Friday morning, they took it in immediately and his team was able to diagnose the brake master cylinder was bad. They were able to have the car fixed in just a few hours even though I only took the car in for an inspection. They are honest, do good work and their prices are definitely fair.

The best! My father has been coming here forever and turned me onto them years ago. They are masters at what they do. Trustworthy and honest. Won’t try to get you do do unnecessary work at all.

I am a car guy. My parents found Ralph at N&M in 1980 after going through hell and $$$ with other mechanics. I wish I lived closer-​I would take my cars there. Whether an oil change or major fix-​they stick to their quotes-​they tell you when you need something and they stand behind their work. They never gouge you or make you do any unnecessary service.
There are few mechanics out there like him and his team and now his newer partner, Howie.
They are master mechanics-​can fix anything and will give you sound car advice if you are thinking of getting a new or used car.

I hate bringing my car in for repair! It ranks right up there with having to go to the dentist. Although the pain comes to me in two different places — one in my wallet, the other in my mouth — each of these hurt just as much as the other. Just thought I would start out by saying that.
My eight year old car — a 2000 Honda Accord with 108,000+ miles is a good and reliable car — but like most things, when it gets old, it needs some TLC. I recently had to take my car in to have its brakes checked, and while I sat at work and waited for that fateful call that would tell me they car needed extensive repairs, I tried to occupy my time until that call came.
Ultimately I recieved the call. .. apparently it did not need a complete overhaul, nor did it need new breaks or/​and rotors, it did need to have its master cylinder replaced though, which in the grand scheme of things was not so bad and ended up costing less than $ 500.
This was my first experience with N&M — we had been using another local repair station, but they had come under new ownership and we had the feeling they were not completely truthful — case-​in-​point — the old place told us a few months back that we needed to replace the struts and/​or shocks — which they said would cost us $ 2,000+ — we did NOT do it. .. and thankfully N&M said they were perfectly fine. So, N&M you have won my business for now — lets hope you stay as honest as you have appeared to be so far.
