If traveling to the area make sure you drop by this shop. Interesting mix of goods, pottery, cards, and framed goods. I love my Island Gardenia candle from The Outer Banks Candle Co. I also bought a coffee mug, very light weight for a pottery mug and great design. This shop was one of the highlights from our trip.

This beautiful shop carries some neat items from talented people. They have prints from Brian Andreas, funky pottery, and unique jewelry. My sister asked if one of the jewelers has a website, but the staff quickly told her that they sell items on the store’s website– meaning my sister shouldn’t look up the individual jeweler. This makes sense so the store can get the sale, and after looking it up, the prices are comparable. This place had a wider selection of reasonably priced items than the Village Craftsman, and was equally as cool.

When researching places to shop around Ocracoke I knew immediately that this is a shop that I just had to visit! Conveniently enough, it was just a short walk down the road from our campsite. Over the Moon is in a cute little house and as you walk up you can see all the colorful glass bulbs hanging from the windows. Once inside the front room you are greeted by many handmade garden items and some very interesting wall décor; including what I can best describe as some humorous interactive art which operates much like a slot machine. The following rooms(yes everything is broken up into rooms, I did my best to look at everything while I circled around) were filled with anything and everything craftfully handmade. To include: –Jewelry –Cards –Purses –Knick Knacks –Journals –Stuffed toys –Kitchenware …and much more!
