Wonderful dinner. Innovative menu. Best gnocchi ever! Great service by Laura from Anchorage — long story. Definitely will return whenever we are in OKC.

We had the chefs tasting menu with wine pairings. Everything was incredibly flavorful and the wines matched each dish perfectly! The service here was absolutely impeccable. I also love that you can see the chefs hard and work in the kitchen. Putting their hearts and souls into each dish. Great atmosphere, delicious food, the best service around. What more do you want in a restaurant?

Now I realized that it is expensive and they did it have a crowd but my 5 stars are for quality of food as well as service and it helped that only 6 tables were full when we were there on a Thursday evening. Quality of food is great. I had the Goat and it was very well made. Loved the drink options as well. All in all it was a good experience and would try it again. I heard Monday is chef choice and I will try it next time.

This is the cream of the crop in Oklahoma City and certainly would fall elites in much larger cities. The food here is exquisite and the experience, if done right, is enlightening and enriching. We choose to sit at the counter area that overlooks the cooking area. It is amazing watching the chefs work on each order that comes in. The techniques they use and how they cook each item. It is a great experience. We typically go for the specials that they have each time we have visited and have yet to be disappointed. One of the most memorable was tomahawk chops. These were grilled porkchops that were huge and really were like tomahawks. They were grilled perfectly and tasted fabulous. We have tried many soups and appetizers plus other main dishes. We also tried the traditional bone marrow that was actually quite tasty, even after being hesitant at first. Every special cocktail we have had there were also tasty. We have not found anything that this group was not able to tackle with great precision and tastiness. The service is also excellent. Wait staff is superb at educating, suggesting and answering questions. They are prompt when needed(like when trying to catch a show) but give you your space when they understand you are enjoying good food or great conversation. Check it out and you will not be disappointed!

If I could have made it a 10-star…I would. What an exceptional restaurant in such an unexceptional restaurant location. Let’s be honest OKC is known for their energy, Sonic and Blake Shelton… not their gourmet food scene. However this place could be a game changer. All of the food is fresh(farm/table) and brought in daily. The menu changes regularly due to ingredient availability. Prime example — I ordered the mackerel appetizer(cause OKC is known for their seafood) and it was prefect. However mackerel is not for the squeamish since it is extremely oily and has a very fishy taste. They have a great full-bar in the back of the restaurant. Décor and bartender is reminiscent of a «mad scientist meets a mixology alchemist.» The margarita isn’t a specialty drink for them but I ordered one anyway and was not disappointed! Absolutely phenomenal and nothing processed or pre-made about it. The kitchen/prep area is open to the dining room which offers full viewing of all the artists(aka chefs) performing their masterful feats. In addition to the mackerel appetizer, we ordered the bone marrow along with the pork-skin/mushroom/gravy special. The bone marrow was good but the pork skin/mushroom/gravy over toast was amazing! My dining partners agreed that we would of been happy with just eating the gravy for our main entrée. The menu also offers the chef’s 4-course tasting menu, however we opted for the bone-in veal as a main course. This entrees is served family style and can feed 2 maybe even 3 people depending on individual appetite. The veal was wonderful… not too dry and not over-cooked but just right. No desserts were sampled this night since we were all stuffed. I will definitely will revisit this gem next time I’m in OKC.

This review is only for the bar out back, and the Blue Plate specials, which, for two solid years was a weekly staple of mine(which is all to say, the other reviews taking in the establishment in full should probably take precedence over mine). They have a small patio and a cozy indoor space, very spare and pretty, that I’ve never seen terribly full. Great for a quiet talk over some excellent cocktails. Then, there are the blue plate specials. The idea of a blue plate special hinges on two things: cheapness and regular rotation. Incidentally, it may also be a chef’s improvisation on excess ingredients(as is the unconfirmed case, according to my friends, with this establishment… the heavy recurrence of rabbit supports this conjecture). The point is, BPSs are(1) usually of varying quality and(2) probably should not be understood as fully representative of any given restaurant. Don’t let all the caveating turn you off. I’ve generally been very pleased with the quality of the BPS(if not always its portions). For example, quite early on, they served a Banh Mi BPS that was easily among the finest dishes I’ve ever had in this state.

Maybe farm-to-fork is a little bit of an outdated concept in the industry, but in Oklahoma City it’s the driving force behind undoubtedly the best restaurant in the city. Intimate but relaxed, the noisy dining room is exactly what I’m looking for in a special night out. I don’t remember the cocktails I ordered, but it was made with copious amounts of house-infused bourbon. You should probably order a cocktail, too. The menu changes so frequently that it’s hard to make a recommendation, but the charcutterie board is a generous amount of meats and cheeses that probably could make up a meal in and of itself. From the rillette to the pâté to the mousse, there’s a lot of pleasure to be found in these offal. I had the pork belly dish of the night. The unctuous pork fat melted in my mouth and reminded me of why I like pork so much. In all it ended up being a meal surprisingly chocked full of meat, but we left buzzed, full, and with the confidence that food was being expressed on a level here that is far and away better than what the rest of Oklahoma City was seeking to achieve. We left happy.

I came here on a Monday night and it was surprisingly mellow around 6pm. Only a few people there. I guess happy hour isn’t a big thing in OKC, or I was in the wrong neighbourhood? No matter, I was there for my first real meal since breakfast(thanks for nothing, Delta) and a good cocktail. I asked the bartender to recommend a cocktail that was refreshing, a little fruity but not sweet, with either gin or vodka. He suggested a strawberry, champagne, and absinthe number that sounded good, until I took my first sip and remembered why I’m not wild about absinthe. The licorice flavour overwhelms everything else, and ever since a really bad night involving sambuca many years ago, I have a tough time with those anise notes. I drank it, and it was mighty potent, but I didn’t love it. Not the fault of the bartender, per se. I did notice that the cocktail menu leans heavily toward the trend of exotic digestifs and bitters, which is very popular these days but to me tends to come off as too medicinal. All a matter of personal taste! The fact that the only available menu on a Monday is a Blue Plate special and a few discounted charcuterie items during the game was a little disappointing, but when I saw the burgers start coming out I couldn’t resist. I had really been in the mood for a big deluxe salad and a small bit of charcuterie or seafood, but the perfectly-seasoned wagyu patty with housemade pickles, crispy shallots, and garlic aoili really hit the spot. The bartender was also kind enough to ask the kitchen to make the side salad a little supersized. It was a very nice, fresh, and flavourful pile of mixed greens, tomatoes, and balsamic. I was delighted with the meal and the $ 10 price tag was so cheap it felt criminal. 10 oz of wagyu for $ 10?! I would come back for sure, but maybe not while dining solo. Perhaps I just hit it at an off time but the bar wasn’t very sociable.

Great service and a hip and elegant setting, but the food has been disappointing. I have been here 4 – 5 times — the first time I was amazed by the goat curry. Every time since then I have been underwhelmed. Today i had the wagyu beef — it was tough and too salty. The sides did not really do much for the meat. I also had the turnip soup, it lacked salt but had good flavor. The wine list is good and the servers are knowledgeable about the wines. I still gave this 4 stars because the experience is so pleasant. I have sat at the kitchen bar on a few occasions and it’s fun to watch the chefs work.

Ludivine is simply wonderful. With a menu that is constantly changing with food that you really can’t find anywhere else, you are always in for a tasty and unique experience here. Their cocktails are TODIEFOR — I had the best Moscow Mule I’ve ever had here. It’s a great location for dates or any sort of intimate dinners, but their bar area is great for just going out with friends(and if you’re ballin’ on a budget, they have 10 dollar Blue Plate Specials on Mondays). The food was delicious and I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

I must say that I was quite pleased with Ludivine. There were pros-and-cons to my experience which I feel can be set aside for the overall experience and I defiantly plan to return and try more of their menu items. I will list my personal views of the pros-and-cons of just the location itself: Pros: * Farm-to table establishment * Exotic menu items * Staff are extremely attentive and accommodating * A great place for a small group * A wide range of drinks to select from * Pleasant atmosphere and décor Cons: * It can get extremely loud(with being a small place you may expect that, I didn’t) * The table we had, which was in the center and closest to the chef’s counter was very busy and thus did not make for an intimate dinner experience. * Parking was metered, street-only. Not a great thing for me personally, but some may not mind. My overall experience with the food was as follows: * Salad — light and satisfying. A perfect blend of bitter and sweet with a savory goat cheese fritter, however the roasted potato tasted more burnt than roasted and was cold(it just seemed like more chips than anything else), the watermelon radish and almonds were a nice touch but I did not taste any of the huckleberry dressing. I would say the crostini or fritter if you will was the high point of the salad(at $ 12). * Main course — I selected the Neah Bay Steelhead Filet($ 31) with huitlacoche grits, Crestveiw greens, saffron shellfish potage. It was okay but a bit over salted and the greens were too seasoned. Presentation was lovely. The huitlacoche grits were the high point for me. I left more than half of the fish on my plate and felt like my tongue was in a salt bath till dessert. * Dessert — For sure this was my high point on all accounts for my dining experience. Both my fiancé and I selected the Lemon White Chocolate Pot de Crème. It had a candied lemon(sadly they did not remove the seeds which made for an awkward dining experience with me politely spitting out seeds periodically), brown sugar caramel. Aside the seeds, it was amazing! And it was on the house! Thanks Ludivine ;) My fiancé had the bone marrow and loved it! I tried a small bit(I am not a fan of fat or anything gelatinous so I opted for a scraping of it on toast, with condiments but I think he put too much mustard as it was all I tasted. I love mustard so it was not bad. He ate every bite of the rib chop(I will let him post his own review as I feel I am a much more picky eater.) which I did try and while I found it a bit on the sweet side, I did not have the pleasure of trying all of the components that made up his meal, so I can just say the meat was sweet and tender. I saw a lot of other food passing by my table(since it was a high traffic location lol) and I would for sure love to try their soup which seems to be standard on their menu(it changes daily) and the dinner for two seemed to be quite popular. I would also note that the chef’s tasting menu seemed to be comprised of about 60% of the menu the day prior(I looked at their menu the day before). Not that it was in any way a bad thing, it is just something to be noted in case you happen to miss a night and want to enjoy the menu, it may be offered the following day in a limited quantity as part of the chef’s tasting. Overall as I stated, my experience was very nice. I will for sure pick a seating closer to the door as it seemed less noisy and much less traffic, the staff are all amazing and took my recommendation to lower the sodium and seasonings on the fish dishes as some do really enjoy the fresh taste of fish, which I appreciated. They really do want you to have a great experience and that is exactly why we picked them. We will be back soon!

Came here for New Year’s eve dinner with a party of six, was disappointed they didn’t honor the $ 25 wine pairing with each course even though they advertised it. They did give us free champagne, we ended up buying two bottles of $ 125 red wine and alcoholic drinks with our meals. I had the steak and a chocolate dessert which all in all was pretty good. The service was excellent the environment was really nice besides the Roach I saw crawling on the wall. Most likely will not come back. Very disappointed in this upscale restaurant. I did enjoy myself but I think it is because the company I had with me.

I have been to Ludivine a total of 4x. Every single time I have dined here. The service and food have been exceptional except this last time for NYE. They had a pre set menu, and had advertised $ 25 dollar wine pairing. I remember even asking online how many glasses were going to be paired during our meal, and someone answered 3-course, 3-glasses of wine. So, I immediately told my friends and made reservations. The price for a meal and wine pairing for 2 would have only been $ 150, which we all know is a steal during NYE! During our meal we also saw a roach crawling on the wall behind us and our booth seat. I’m terrified of bugs, and one roach means MANYMANYMANY more. Besides the false advertisement and roach issue. I had a great time with our friends. Our entire meal cost well over $ 700 for 6 people that thought the food was just ‘okay’. The food itself was disappointing compared to their usual stuff they have on their menu. My wagyu was super chewy, and the execution of the meat on a banana shaped plate made it hard to eat especially since the meat did not cut like butter like wagyu should. It definitely wasn’t worth the extra $ 12 substitution. Anyways, I wish I could have given this place a better review, but there were just too many errors NYE night!

Wow this place is something I’ve never experienced in fine dining. Local goods that are made into decadent dishes, superb customer service from the entire staff, and an elegant yet casual feel. I actually tried bone marrow which was really rich and delicious and better than I expected. My boyfriend even took a shot straight from a bone when we finished! If you like to venture out and try new things then you must go to Ludivine. Everything is wonderful about this little gem!

I came due to my coworkers high recommendations for this place for their appetizers Their appetizers is mainly on the weekday from 5 – 7 but it has to be in the bar area. On Monday they have this blue plate special that is only 2 $ but more donations are welcomed! There are not many places with pâté on their menu and this was one of the places. And pâté you have to be careful not to have their weird meat stench. I went with two other girlsfriends and we ordered the board with all six of the options which was 14 $ for there and 4 $ for each so a total of 28&(not bad since there’s three of us) the portions were good and they will give you more of the toasted points when you ask! It even came with various pickles such as radish, shallots, regular pickles, red onion and okra. The board had chicken liver mousse) my personal favorite), fois gras, country pâté, housed cured salmon, cheese(we chose the sheep cheese) and some lamb thing similar to a pâté. For three girls that filled us up and we got a salad too and we were totally full. Will I come here again? Most definitely! It’s been a long time since I’ve fully enjoyed my dining experience. The waitress was very knowledgeable and was very kind to us! This place rocks!

I can see why this place gets so much love from locals. A friend and I had dinner at Ludivine on a Tuesday night. We arrived fairly early(around 45 minutes) for our reservation, but they weren’t full, so they seated us immediately. The dining room isn’t huge, but it’s comfortable and has a cool atmosphere to it. Didn’t get back to the bar area, which I hear is great. I decided to start the evening with a cocktail: the Jalapeño Hemingway. I’ll be honest, it’s been a few days since I ate there and I can’t recall the ingredients. But, I recall I loved it. It did have some noticeable heat, which was fantastic. They’ve got a great beer list and several wines by the glass in addition to the bottle list. Fantastic bar service. To eat, my friend and I went with the tasting menu. For $ 75, you get 5 courses. We had: carrot bisque, a foie gras salad, cheesy pasta with black truffles, buffalo filet, and a chocolate and massa tea torte for dessert. Each course wasn’t enormous, but the meal certainly was filling. We started with the carrot bisque. This had the velvety texture you expect from a bisque. It was creamy and beyond flavorful; seasoned perfectly. They blended in some shellfish which came through. It was my «least favorite» dish of the meal and it was still fantastic. The foie gras salad, which was served with fiddlehead ferns, orange, and a green garlic purée came next. The foie gras was appropriately decadent, smooth and rich but not overpowering. This dish was the perfect size. The orange provided nice acidity and a fresh pop to the heavier foie gras. The cheesy pasta(can’t remember the type) was incredibly decadent. The sauce was perfect, and the cheese flavor was intense. And, if that wasn’t enough, it was served with mushrooms and shaved black truffles. I could have easily eaten 3 or 4 servings of this, it was incredible. The buffalo filet was flavorful and cooked to a perfect medium rare. It was accompanied by a great sauce, herbs, and potatoes. The kicker was a fried squash blossom stuffed with blue cheese. Like the pasta, I could have eaten a whole plate of these things. The dessert was rich and decadent, like the majority of the meal. Service was fantastic, we received wine very quickly and our waters were never close to empty. But, no one was hovering or trying to upsell us on booze. Very pleasant evening. Hopefully I’ll get back to Ludivine soon, it most definitely lived up to the considerable hype.

Ludivine was an excellent experience. We sat at the bar until time for our reservation and enjoyed bone marrow with delicious cocktails. The bone luge shots following the dish were hilarious and so worth it. My boyfriend and I tried different dishes and both were excellent. He had beef belly and I had wild boar. We will definitely be back, happy hour is worth it! Half price apps.
