I ordered a gift online recently and swooped in to pick it up since shipping (even locally for a small lightweight item) would have been $ 12.00. I’ve only been in the store a couple times before and it is impressive. There is a huge selection and lots of staff to provide personal assistance. I’m not much of a jewelry connoisseur so I find it almost a bit intimidating and personally prefer smaller shops. They offer a lot more than jewelry though in the form of watches, glassware, home accessories, etc. I was able to pick up my gift easily and as always it was beautifully wrapped in their trademark silver wrap and maroon ribbon and came in a custom bag. When you see that, you know you’re getting something good!

Gone way down hill. Used to be the place to shop. Last summer went in to buy 3 wedding shower gifts. Sales was very helpful but everything «unique» we picked out was out of stock. Had to settle for regular items I could have bought anywhere. In fact I remember years ago where I asked about Belleek and was told they don’t sell items you can find in common stores and now they sell pandora! The last pieces of jewelry we have bought there ended up being nothing more then over priced costume jewelry. When I took them back there was nothing they could about the finish. Mr buffet has once again turned an icon into a junk store. Will not shop there again which is sad because we knew Ike by name. We picked out our wedding China from the basement in his downtown store. Brides don’t even register there any more. So sad that another icon has been driven into the ground by Buffett.

A friend and went to Borsheims on a busy Saturday and Ryan was beyond helpful. We weren’t buying the Hope Diamond, but it sure didn’t matter to Ryan.
You are always greeted the minute someone sees you and the managers are always walking around making sure the service is 5-​star.
I think something people forget is that they sell things that regular folks can afford. My friend got an amazing necklace well within her budget.
If you haven’t already been a shopper there. You should go. Make sure to ask for Ryan for top-​top service.

I have been to many jewelry stores in the last month including all national chains and Borsheims was the most impressive by far. Huge selection and very friendly, knowledgeable service.
Rodney helped us view many items and explained the pros and cons, stone origin and had a lot of patience. Very good customer service experience. No pressure and super friendly. We eventually made a purchase elsewhere but I would come back to buy something from Rodney in a heartbeat.

I’m writing an update just to express how impressed I am with the watch department manager, Sue. Being on the low end of the salary food chain I’m not used to receiving personal phone calls of apology from places that are more accustomed to higher end clientele. But I received a very heartfelt, sincere apology from the management which leads me to believe that perhaps this was a once in blue moon mistake. I can’t say for certain that another piece of loose material suddenly appeared or not, but they were concerned enough to contact me and that goes a long way.

Of course Borsheims has all kinds of fantastic things in the retail section of the store, where everyone is helpful and wanting to sell you something… but this review is specifically targeting the watch repair department.
I took a watch in for a battery replacement, and the experience spiralled into a strange saga that’s soured my desire to have any watch maintenance performed here.
This particular watch had been in my ownership for 6+ years without any issues. Been through a couple battery replacements before at mall kiosk-​type stores in the past.
Issues started shortly after I got it back from the store.
First up, condensation inside the watch face. I took it back to Borsheims and was told that there was rust on the movement, that I needed a new crown (determined to be the water point of entry) and I was also accused by the watchmaker — indirectly — of submerging the watch in a pool or a bath.
Even after I explained that I’d had no issues with this watch until they opened it up to change a battery, I had to undergo a back and forth with the manager of the department several times via phone to explain myself before I finally made a comment akin to, «I would have hoped Borsheims — a store that obviously prides itself on customer service — could have taken care of this issue for me.»
The facts boil down to… they opened up my watch, and compromised the integrity of the case somehow. I don’t know how, as I’m not a watchmaker.
So they agree to fix it and not charge me for the repairs.
The parts are ordered, the watch is repaired and several weeks later, I received a call telling me it was finally ready.
When I arrive to pick it up, I’m told the watch was not keeping time correctly, the movement ordered was defective, and they needed to order another to replace it.
Two more weeks pass and I call to check in.
Apparently the watch is ready… though no-​one called to tell me about it.
I return, pick up the watch, it seems to work fine and I’m wearing it now even.
But the fact that I felt compelled to write this whole boring story down means that I’m overall not what I’d call pleased with the whole thing. We’ll have to see if I end up visiting that little window again in the future.

Exceptional customer support and product quality. I ordered my engagement ring through an over-​the-​phone consultation and Holly was nothing short of exceptional. She took the time to address my questions, listen to my concerns and ensure that I felt informed and comfortable every step of the way.
Upon delivery, the ring exceeded expectations and, in my opinion, is akin to solitaire diamonds found at T&Co — without the premium price. After sales support has been superlative with my questions often being addressed within hours.
The real test: my girl loved the ring and will not stop looking at it. The calibre of the stone and setting is obvious!
If you’re a future fiancé like me who wanted the best product at the best price, Borsheims has my complete recommendation. They have exceeded my expectations and am confident that they will do the same for you.

Borsheims is where my husband bought my engagement ring and where we later got our wedding band! The experience started at a 5 with the buying process! My husband (then boyfriend ;) went in with his sisters and had an amazing experience!
He proposed, and I absolutely loved the ring he found there from A. Jaffe from moment one.
However, the entire process was full of peaks and valleys.
The first valley was the re-​sizing process. We live out of state and had to send our ring into Borsheims to be sized. It took WAY too long to receive a response. 2 weeks later we find out «the ring would need to be shipped to the ring designer to get resized due to my finger size». The cost was going to be outrageous and I would have been without a ring for over 2 months and we had engagement photos scheduled so we opted out. They sent back my ring back in a plastic baggie, without the sizer or Borsheims box we sent it in. SOOOO disappointed.
When we were in Omaha next, we asked to speak with the manager, Scott, who is the sole reason our experience turned around. We spoke with him only to find out that they COULD resize the ring in store. Are you kidding me? 6 weeks without my ring for no reason?
Anyway, we got the ring back and it fit and was gorgeous! (peak)
Then came the second valley, the wedding band. We could not find a band that matched the character of the ring so we opted for a custom designed band. We were promised a sketch & updates. We dropped off the ring in person, and after a couple of weeks I got worried, tried to reach out to our new contact, Rachel, only to find out that my ring had been sent to a Borsheims vendor, which is absolutely fine, but we were not aware. The vendor «could not have contact with us» so we had to do the whole middle-​man routine throughout the process which was more time-​consuming than it should have been. We did not receive a sketch of what it would look like complete prior to authorizing the design, and the price was also more than we were told originally.
However, the final product was perfect. (peak)
Our diamond-​buying process with Rachel was superb. She did a fabulous job comparing diamonds and matching our budget! I would highly recommend working with Rachel!
So all in all, would I recommend Borsheims? Yes. But, unfortunately, it seems like you have to push a little to get quality customer service.

I have been to Borsheim’s twice and both times I have been there during the Bershire Hathaway days, so I’m not sure if the customer service is different then or not, as I have seen some reviews saying their customer service is not up to par. I will say, though, that during the most hectic of days though, Borsheim’s sales people were extremely friendly, well at least most of them, and didn’t really have a problem getting help when I needed it. The only problem I really had was when I wanted to see something from the estate jewelry and the lady who was manning that counter didn’t give me the time of day.
With that being said, other than that one remote incident, I loved my experience at Borsheims. They have a large selection of jewelry, so if you don’t know what you’re looking for, it may take a while to find just the right thing. They also sell many different types of gift items too! That area I think is the most fun area in the whole store.
I think the only time I will shop here again is during the Berkshire days. I’m a little afraid that customer service isn’t the same other than that and if I need something in a pinch, I may not get any help!

Not much of a shopper so this was like any other mall jewelry store. It was fun to see the Berkshire Hathaway name on the door but, even a Christmas ornament was out of my budget.

Had a lovely experience actually buying something here today: a wedding present that my retail sales consultant Linda helped me pick out. Can’t tell you what it is, because it might not be a surprise lol Needless to say, it was beautifully gift wrapped, lovingly bagged, and patiently waiting for me when I finished the rest of my Regency shopping (love the Loft sales, especially Tuesdays if you have a Loft card 20% more off). Can’t not go in Francesca’s either.
I would give Borsheim’s 5 stars if the doors were automatic. Hell, the big box stores and grocery stores have them, why not here, especially when you are hefting out some rather cumbersome pricey merchandise by your lonesome through two sets of heavy doors. Oh, yeah, and 5 stars if someone would carry that out for you too. Seriously, automatic doors, folks!

Hands down the classiest and nicest jewelry store I have ever been to. I am not a shopper and usually run in and out of any store in 10 minutes… when I am at Borsheim’s — its a totally different story. I could spend hours in this place. The staff hands down gives the best customer service of any store i have ever been to. i have a few different pieces from Tiffany’s, which I absolutely love, but I will tell you, I will never go back to Tiffany after my experience with Borsheim’s.
Each time I have gone there, I have received excellent customer service and not in a pushy way. Now, when I am visiting Omaha I make a point of going to Borsheim’s — when I was there last weekend I was greeted by first and last name by Ryan who I had purchased a few things from over the past few years (ok — I e-​mailed him that I was in town and said that I was probably going to do some shopping while I was getting my watch battery replaced, but he knows that I am not what I would say is a «high dollar» customer and he still went out of his way to help me). Ryan was not afraid to give his opinion on what I wanted and to show me some items more in my price range after I was disappointed that what I really wanted was WAY out of my range this year. In fact, when I was there about 1 ½ years ago and had to make an exchange on my diamond earrings because I lost one (ouch), Ryan actually came to Paradise Café (located in the same shopping center) to tell me that my earrings were discontinued, but he had picked out a few different ones that he thought I would like… talk about customer service! I am constantly getting compliments on my purchases at Borsheim’s, which proves that they were worth every penny!
Hopefully one day I will be able to increase my budget and buy the BIG diamonds!

You really won’t find another store anywhere like this in Omaha. The service is incredible and the selection can’t be matched. I happened upon Borhseims when I was looking for a place to have a watch band shortened, but I hadn’t bought it in Omaha. They did it for free at Borsheims without complaint or without trying to sell me anything. I’m not much into jewelry (I prefer to spend my money on food and dresses), but if I ever had a real reason to invest in a piece of jewelry, this would be the place I’d look.

After procrastinating away a year of friends’ life events, I broke down and picked up a few baby and wedding gifts, while we were visiting our parents in Omaha/​SW Iowa before moving to London.
In all fairness, most of the gifts we procrastinated over were ones for friends we have a very hard time buying for. Borsheim’s fixed that for us; they have a beautifully eclectic combination of homewares for all types of personalities at amazing prices.
I will definitely drop by again the next time we’re in Omaha.

It’s a girls dream come true… well…I guess it’s not really unless you can buy whatever you want in the store.
The sales associates are pretty amazing. So polite and eager to help. I’m guessing the commission is the reason.
The store is huge. Ginormous. They have separate sections… Tiffany and Co., Cartier, Bulgari, etc.
If you’re shopping for a diamond, it’s not the cheapest place to go but fairly reasonable. You can actually get a better deal in L.A. but I’m sure the customer service along with a satisfaction guarantee is much better at Borsheim’s than a place in the Jewelry District in downtown L.A.

Oh my! Reason dragged me in here… haha… glad she did as I saw some quite fascinating pieces of jewelery. Of course I wouldn’t mind having it all but let’s be honest I’m not a girly girl…
Reason was so cute… always on the cusp of drooling and looked like me at a candy store… I know it doesn’t take much to make this one happy. Haha!
She loves her diamonds and pink gold… me on the other hand… totally eyeing the Tag Heuers… I really want a chunky men’s watch… I sport one that I got over 12 years ago (an uncle in Japan bought it for me) but I cannot afford one in general. I spend all my money on food and wine… obvi!!!
No but honestly Reason (my friend aka partner in crime for our 4 day stay in Omaha) is one of the classiest girlfriends I know and she has impeccable taste. So I’m glad I got to check this place out with her.

Big selection of your standard jewlery, crowded, but excellent service.
Not the place to find independent jewelry, conflict free diamonds, or super bling. Kind of boring, actually.
