Chuckles and Maurice are the owners of Three Dog Bakery in Omaha, Nebraska. Chuckles is a Shih Tzu/Schnauzer mix (we think) adopted from the Nebraska Humane Society in 2006. Maurice is a Shih Tzu adopted from Little White Dog Rescue in 2009.

At Three Dog Bakery we’re not just dog lovers; we’re dog activists. Partnering with the Nebraska Humane Society, Little White Dog Rescue and many other groups, we’re proud to volunteer our time and support responsible pet adoption for those that haven’t found their forever home yet. Three Dog Bakery is involved with many other pet-advocacy causes in the community as well, holding fundraising events to help animals in need every month.

Ok, my dog gave Three Dog the 5 stars but I really like the store too. VERY pet friendly, amazing fresh baked treat options and a wide selection of healthy dog foods. Store can get a little «tight» during busy times so be aware if your dog (like mine on occasion) doesn’t always make friends with other dogs.
Special note — Three Dog is often out at local events handing out free samples. This is not only great for marketing but I get the sense they are really invested in the community. Always a great crew working at the store as well.

This location in comparison to the Midtown Crossing location is a little bigger, and more organized in my opinion. It was easy to sort through all the different aisles and sections to look at all they offer. They specialize in «bakery» style treats for your pooch that look a lot like human treats. Half the glass display looks like they just arranged some girl scout cookies on glass plates, yet I know they make their stuff from scratch. Lots of the cookies look chocolate dipped, I have no idea what it really is though! There are also the bulk bins for treats (milkbone/biscuit esque) that come in a variety of flavors (pumpkin, apple, cheese, peanut butter; all non-meat flavors).
I find their prices for the brand name items (example, apple bitters off furniture spray, or the same toy or leash we saw at corporate) pretty fair– very slightly cheaper than Petsmart or Petco but more expensive than Amazon or some online retailers. As they are more boutique like, they also have packaged treats and jerky etc that I have never seen at the Petsmart and Petcos– it must be smaller named companies that they are supporting. There was a dried lamb treat from a subscription bark box that I knew was a smaller company and I found it here after no luck in the major pet superstores. I do like that aspect of this smaller locally owned shop. More small brands and more variety other than milkbone and greenies and those beggin bacon stirps– and I am totally into it.

Three dog bakery is the only pet friendly store in the shopping center. My pup loves visiting this store, especially because he gets treats on every visit. They have several fresh baked goodies that look good enough for humans; and they can, they use all natural ingredients.
Do your fur friend a favor and visit this store.

I took my dog here a few times, but after some rude customer service and poor haircuts I decided to switch groomers. The three dog bakery groomer seemed uneducated and I slowly realized that I my dog was getting bad haircuts for a really high cost. I started going down the street to Soggy Paws on Jackson St. They are really friendly and more dog oriented. They don’t feel like a chain (even though they are) that just focuses on the numbers and sales. My dog always looks great when he gets done at Soggy Paws and gets really excited whenever he see’s their groomer.

They took almost four hours, shaved my dog without asking, then tried to tell me that it was only a «one-guard.»
I guess to them, if a razor has a guard on it, it’s not a razor? I picked up my newly-bald dog and was furious. In retrospect, I shouldn’t have paid.
I was very specific with what I wanted. I asked for a bath and blow-out. I said, «Don’t shave him. Call me if you think you need to shave him.»
Then I said, AGAIN, before I left «Don’t forget to call me before shaving.»
I almost cried when I saw him. Months of taking care of my dog’s hair wasted. My dog still looks terrible, and it’s been almost two weeks.
I didn’t even want a haircut! I brought my pup there and asked if they could wash and de-mat him. I’m the type of dog owner who brushes my dog every day. I have expensive brushes and know what I’m doing. I take him to a groomer when I see that his hair is becoming more difficult to brush/blow out. He is a bichon-poodle mix and his soft hair will ALWAYS brush out. Yes, it might take a while, but aren’t groomers supposed to be professionals?
Don’t go here unless you want to pay these people to completely ignore your requests, and then continue to just do whatever they want to your dog.
