Tic Time

Overpriced and the repair dude is a jerk! Sales girls seem friendly enough. Found a watch at a different store that is less expensive and the gal does repairs on the spot no questions asked. She had a Nixon that I wanted for $ 200. I ended up buying the watch there (Montclair Plaza near Nordstom’s). The Mills Tic Time showed me the watch and it would not fit over my hand so I asked if they would install the links hoping it would be enough to fit my wrist. I had planned to buy the watch if it fit. I asked the sales gal if they could install them. The repair jerk walked up and said, «No, you buy the watch then I will install the links!». Uhh Ok asshole! You expect me to buy a watch for $ 250 and hope it fits me? I’ve installed and removed links myself in the past and I know it’s a matter of pushing the pin in the right direction. Not like you have to be an expert to do a monkey’s job! Take your attitude and shove it where the sun don’t shine moron, you just lost a sale! Anyway the gal at the Montclair watch shop is much more friendly. Next time I know to stop there first. In the past she has installed links and batteries in a blink of an eye. She’s even upgraded my batteries for free. Of course I have tipped her $ 5 here and there for great service! Mills Tic Time can kiss my ass!

This is my new favorite place to buy all my watches, especially the Nixons, Vestals, and G-​shocks. Stopped in to just check it out and walked away with 3 nice watches! The owner was a nice guy and helped us out putting on watches and sizing them and set all the watches to the correct time! Very customer service oriented and friendly as well. I will definitely be going back there to all my watch needs!

My son got a watch from his grandparents for his birthday, it wasn’t a style for someone his age so I told him we’d go exchange it. Right about the same time their business closed due to a fire and my other younger toddler son got into the gift bag and lost the receipt. I contacted them through Unilocal and was granted a no receipt exchange, a policy exception for when they reopened. We went in some time later, they honored it, they were very friendly, we’re happy they helped us out and my son wears his new watch all the time, he loves it. Very good experience with them.

I come here for all my watch needs. Andrew is always friendly and helpful. Their prices are reasonable and service is great. They have always been honest with me and I appreciate that. I highly recommend.

Love to buy my watches here! Customer service is beyond great and they are all around nice people. I recently had an issue with a defected Nixon and it had damage, well it was still under warranty but no proof of purchase. Luckily he remembered us and knew we bought the Nixon there. (A year prior) Well Nixon customer service was not necessarily as great as they said they were and did not want to repair the watch at no cost. Well the manager here at tic time got involved and even though his store caught on fire he still made sure I got the service I deserved. I have nothing but positive things to say about this store… Very shocked by the comments below about «rude or bad service» can’t see that as a possibility by no means. Before this incident happened they were already awesome in my opinion. Just being honest :)

Great prices. Fast Service. Honest about what you need for your watch and if you need it to be repaired. Definitely coming back.

I’ve had my watches resized, changed battery and replaced crystals on two of my watches in this store. Each time I did, I always walked out smiling and felt guilty that I didn’t pay them enough because of the ridiculously low fees that they charged me. Beth and Kate were so friendly and courteous that whenever I’m in Ontario Mills with friends, I will always take the time to pass by their shop to say hi and recommend them to whoever I’m with… awesome service!

Great prices and quick service– professionally done. The employees are always kind and honest about what they can and cannot do. I have gotten many watch battery changes, band sizings, and band replacements here in the last couple years. I still have a Bulova that I purchased 9 years ago and it’s still going strong. This store is one of the few original stores from when the mall first opened– if you remember how the mall once was I think that shows a lot right there. I always recommend Tic Time to friends and family, definitely go check them out!

I came in here to shop for leather bands for my Rolex Submariner. Upon walking in the brown haired girl behind the counter seemed annoyed to help me. She was very rude but did show me a few leather band options. I chose one and asked her to put it on for me. I then mentioned to please be careful and not scratch my watch which can happen from the metal tools used. She then proceeded to tell me my Rolex was a fake and she wanted me to know that before she worked on it. I told her to please show me how it’s fake because I thought she was joking. She just said I see watches all the time and it’s fake. Considering I bought the watch new at a rolex store in Los Angeles I realized she was just being harsh and disrespectful so I politely took my watch and left. Moral of this story is this store has terrible customer service and she should be fired for being disrespectful. I will never recommend this store or go back here again.

If you drop off a watch and they say come back in 3 hours and you come the next day you would assume it would be ready. Not the case… it was a waste of time to come here. As for the explanation by the owner… it was busy and we just didn’t get to it… way to take ownership and strive for a good customer experience.

I like coming in here to check out all the different styles of watches that are out, but honestly this place is very over priced, when checking out one the g shock watches I found the same one on amazon for about 50 $ less. Now this is a nice store and the staff is very friendly and helpful that is why I have a high rating. If you are a person who likes to get things then and there when it comes to watches you then come in a buy, they have a wide selection and knowledgeable people who know about watches, but if you can wait you can still go in and at least get an idea of what kind of watch you want.

Went to resize a watch for my husband. It was quick, easy and affordable. Will definitely recommend to others. Thanks!

I would give 10 stars if I could, just needed my girlfriends watch sized and they did it for only $ 10 & it took less than 2 minutes! VERY nice guy too.

Ask for Andrew.. He helped my Wife and Me a lot… now were just waiting on our third nixon to come in. Great selection and even better customer service. New to the whole «watch» scene, but now I see how it can become addictive. Will keep coming back

I was looking for a generic yet fashionable yet inexpensive strap for an expensive watch. They had it and five minutes later I was set.
Apparently they also have some high-​end brands at pretty good prices. I did not know that. Smartly run brand stores.

Went in for a watch repair and the service was excellent. They took care of what I needed and it was done quickly. I will definitely be coming back to purchase or repair watches in the future.

Went in to get a battery replaced and they told me they could do it in 2 minutes. I said, «Perfect, where’s the restroom?»
It was in Marshall’s. By the time I got back, it was waiting for me. No trying to upsell, no wait your turns. Just fast service. I’d recommend their products too because I did check out a couple of watches on the way out. I know they’re pretty nice and decently priced. I’d come back here again for any watch needs.

Headed to Ontario Mills with wife to check out the stores for clothes shopping. I looked up the venue and stores here on Unilocal to get an idea of what Ontario Mills was like. Haven’t been in like a decade or more. As an aside, Ontario Mills is slightly ghetto. The clientele… The Ontario cops that are visible everywhere… Not the best vibe ever.

Happened to see the Unilocal reviews for this Tic Time in my Ontario Mills research. I am a watch freak, and had a few everyday watches that needed band adjustments, as well as Swiss quartz watch that needed a new battery.
Unlike so many watch places you see in a mall, this place is very nice. It’s like a real watch store. The gentleman that’s there is professional, and really focused on service.
I wasn’t in to buy any one of the great Tissot watches he had on display… Was just there for the little things on the watches I already owned. The guy was awesome.
Three automatic watches with band adjustments and the Swiss quartz watch with a battery… Came out to $ 23. And I have no problem with that.

This place made my watch as good as new!
I took my watch to this place in the Ontario Mills for the first time about a week ago. I initially went there to get my battery changed but then when I got my watch back I decided to get it all refurbished. They did a pretty good job. Unfortunately, they couldn’t make look like it originally did when I got but I guess its good enough. What do you expect after 7 years?
The glass of my watch was more of a dome shaped glass which they couldn’t replace either because they didn’t have it, or it would have worked out more expensive. I have a silver watch that had a copper color stripe which they also could not replicate but thats ok. All those things not withstanding, they did a good job of cleaning it up and polishing. My watch looks as good as new.

I’ve been in here a couple of times over the years, but I continue to go back to them because they are reasonable. The owners are very polite, customer service oriented, and have always been able to address my watch problems very quickly and cheaply. I highly recommend this business as they have always served me well and made me feel like a valued customer.
