Our mission has always been to «revolutionize the home improvement industry, one customer at a time» so we specialize in creating a customer experience that is second to none. We have now expanded, or specialize in much more than windows. We do all types of window coverings, and are experiencing amazing growth in the solar industry as well.

American Vision Windows began with the sole purpose of «revolutionizing the home improvement industry, one customer at a time». 14 years and well over 400,000 window installations later, American Vision Windows is honored to now be the number one window replacement company in California. American Vision has also expanded to Arizona, and we now offer installation of quality blinds, shades and solar, as well!

Business Owner

Founding owners, husband and wife team Bill and Kathleen Herren, started out as ordinary customers, looking to upgrade their own home with replacement windows and patio doors.

With a two-​story house full of aluminum windows, Bill and Kathleen were constantly battling the drastic temperature difference between upstairs and downstairs. Also, with a new baby boy in the house, they were concerned about a draft near his crib. Seeking an energy-​saving solution, they began to learn about the benefits of all types of windows that reduce noise and energy costs, for a more secure home.

Unfortunately, they found a series of poor contractors and a need for impressive service that customers can rely on. Other companies are taking deposits and then closing up shop, or giving customers sub-​par installations and bad warranties.

The Herrens knew they could do it better — and they have, revolutionizing the home improvement industry and installing almost 4000,000 replacement windows and doors so far.

I knew from day one when I met with Amir this was going to work out well and it did! Amir was not pushy or aggressive; I felt he was honest and from the heart. I ordered replacement windows for my slider, master bdrm winder with a½ window above and the guestroom. The installers showed up on time, came in and went right to work; great working team, very professional and friendly. Explained how the windows work and how to clean them since there vinyl it’s a bit different.
Now that the windows are in I plan on calling Amir for shades for the slider and blinds for the upstairs bedrooms.

American Windows just installed nine windows in my house. They fit perfectly and the quality of their work was great. Fast efficient and for the most part neat. All windows were insulated and caulked to ensure a weather tight seal. The crew arrived within the one hour window provided. My only complaint is that when they removed one of the old aluminum windows, they forgot to pick up all the screws that they dropped on the ground outside. Very minor issue.
The original consultant (Jay) was very professional and did not try to up-​sell anything, but worked to meet our needs.
The re-​meaaure tech arrived exactly at the time promised and make sure all measurements were accurate before submitting the windows to be custom built.
Reasonably priced. So far very satisfied.

I recommend American Vision Windows. We live in a waterfront home and we have had drafty, leaky windows, both single and double pane, even of different colors and types for ten years. 43 of them. And a lot of them were odd shapes, not just rectangles and squares. Five of the windows had to be new construction (not just replacement) to bring them up to current code.. We called AVW and Nate came out and gave us a bid. He was very informative and made us feel relaxed and confident. He assured us that this was a big job, but they could do it. And they did.
It took about a month to build all the windows. The installation crew, including Ryan, Joaquin, and Romiro, did a beautiful job. It took five days, but the house was always left clean after the work day was done. The installation was beautifully done. What a pleasant experience. And we love our new windows.

I purchased new windows from American vison windows, and Josh S was so very knowledgeable, and helpful. I went in there not knowing what I wanted, or how this process was supposed to go. He made it so easy, and saved me money and time! I recommend if you need new windows to go through this company and ask for Josh.

How do these people get good ratings. I complained. i wrote a letter. One of their representatives came out an promised me a bunch of things and you know what??? I never heard from them again. Just Terrible. They are good as long as the job is easy. If you throw them a curveball with an old house they are awful. They hire guys that barely know what they are doing. So, if you have a house built after 1975 they MIGHT be able to help you. Heaven for bid you have a house older than that because none of their guys have any common sense and none of them are EXPERTS in the construction trade. BUYER BEWARE with them. Lot’s of promises, no delivery!

So after the great service I got from Craig at American Vision Windows with my Slider Door purchase I decided to outfit my home with Plantation Shutters, Craig made it so easy with his knowledge of the Norman product line and how it’s moisture controlled to prevent warpage, this product was just installed and has improved my home s appearance dramatically, the process is so simple, Craig designed with me, gave me bulk pricing, then the measure tech came out and set me up for production, a few weeks later I was contacted for installation and now I sit with beautiful widow coverings by Craig and American Vision Windows, these guys really have their act together, I have been remodeling my house for months now and they are the only contractor that I have not had any issues with and you know what, I realize with construction problems can occur but if they did with this company I feel things would have been resolved to my high standards, I’m calling Craig now to order my new Entry Door we talked about, I’m confident I’m going to be wowed again.

If you asked me to describe American Vision Windows in 3 words it would be Trust, Honesty, Customer Service and Loyal. (okay that’s 4 words)
As a homeowner of a 90-​year-​old historical home, we have had our share of house maintenance specialist, from electrical, pluming, roofing, the list goes on and on. Upgrading our windows was always at the end of the list because we have 22 windows. Finally, we were at a point, we could no longer put off getting new windows.
I heard about American Vision through KFI 640 radio, called and scheduled a visit with a representative.
Fast-​forward to the day Jay came out and was at my door. I must say I have a thing about being on time. It was refreshing Jay was there 15 min early. He was pleasant, seeming honest and just a real nice guy. He brought everything to show us and gave a great presentation. We went over all the different window options with pricing. Because we have 22 windows we could only upgrade 9. We put in our window order and we were over the moon excited to finally get new windows. Jay explained how everything would work, from them calling, to schedule someone to come out and measure and how the install would work.
We had a little hiccup along the way. Because we live in a historical district the City had some changes that needed to be made. Not only did American Vision stand by my side, Jay on his day off went down to the City with me so we could present our case in front of the board. Any time I had any questions I would call Jay, if he wasn’t available he called me as soon as he could. Well you know that saying you can’t fight City Hall… so so true. We ended up having to make some changes on the windows then the City signed off and gave us the go ahead.
Finally the day has come for install. We had the best team of guys that were so darn nice and professional. I believe the head guy’s name was Pasqual. Kept us informed through out the day and when they would be done. There was a problem with one of the windows not fitting correct. They put a call into their supervisor and I put a call into Jay. Jay had the boss call me, assured me they were able to fix it with no problem and they did. They cleaned up after so well you never knew they were there.
We have since ordered our shutters with Jay — American Vision. Hoping they will be in by Christmas. Absolutely cannot wait the house is going to look so different.
I couldn’t be happier with my experience with American Vision and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. Are they perfect? No, nobody is. But they do great work at an amazing value and I believe they are a company of integrity that will do whatever is necessary to fix a problem or get the job done right.

Our sales rep was Jack, he was super knowledgable and very informative. AVW was our 3rd call for an estimate, and he came in about 1k lower that California Deluxe Windows. Additionally, the windows themselves are a better quality, WITH a lifetime warranty. All representatives of this company is very cordial and professional. From the day we signed the contract to the day the windows were installed, it was a total of six weeks. I don’t feel that its a long time, considering the windows had to be custom made. The installation team was very professional and answered any questions I had. I highly recommend this company!

First of all, let me say that Amir at American Windows is the best.
We recently bought a home in Anaheim Hills and upgrading our windows has been the easiest and most painless part of this entire process.
Let me start at the beginning — we researched several potential window companies that were HERO-​certified, and after our home closing, asked them to come up to our new home to give us presentations. Amir and his compatriot represented American Vision. They were punctual, and gave a very factual demonstration of their products. Amir was very knowledgeable and addressed all of our questions. Additionally, he was able to educate us on how the HERO program worked, and how it applied to our window upgrades. We had several other vendors scheduled to come in, but even without seeing those presentations, our minds were made up. To top it all off, Amir brought us a box of cookies as a welcome gift. What a guy.
He was able to squeeze me in for an appointment the next day, where he guided me through the application and ordering process. I was in and out in less than 30 minutes.
Fast forward 5 weeks — Amir kept his word and we took delivery and installation of our windows today. The crew that showed up, lead by Israel, was very professional, prompt, and finished installing 12 windows and a new set of french patio doors in about 5 hours. It was all done very cleanly, and they were very polite and took the time to show us how to use our new products (again, since Amir also did a great job in this department). We were very pleased by the crew. Israel even pointed out a slight manufacturer’s defect in the window pane, which he committed to expediting and getting a replacement window out to us ASAP. We are exceptionally pleased.
Throughout the process, Amir has kept in touch and has demonstrated the personal touch to be an outstanding representative of his company, and his products. Add to that the high-​quality of the Anlin windows, and the awesome price we got for our windows — and we are very very happy customers that would be willing to recommend American Vision to any homeowner looking to update their windows.

We needed to replace two single-​pane aluminum windows and sliding doors in our condo in Long Beach. Salesman Jay was prompt, courteous, friendly, and gave us a good deal on what we consider a very good product. We did receive other estimates, but they were higher, for products that seemed a bit lower quality. Jay returned emails/​phone calls immediately when our HOA was asking for more information prior to approval of the project. The office staff was also timely and organized when we contacted them.
On installation day, Anthony and his crew were also on time, worked hard and efficiently, and were very polite. The windows keep out an unbelievable amount of heat and street noise. I’m amazed at the beauty these windows add to the interior and the exterior of the condo. I can’t say anything negative about this process whatsoever, and will recommend Jay and the company to other residents in the building.

The windows were installed as stated. One window did not stay open and fell on its own. The installers said they would have a service tech out to fix it. Two weeks later I had to call to get an update. Two days agyer thay I received a call from service who stated they were calling the manufacturer to fix. One week after that the manufacturer called and asked why the service tech did not repair? I called back to explain the run around only to hear they would send someone out in another two weeks to fix. They also said I was foolish and should have never signed the paperwork from the installers? Great follow through and customer service there. .
If you just want the product don’t sign anything until they are complete and functional. If you are looking for great follow through and ease of customer service look for others who will give that as AVW seems to be lacking in that area.

Heard about American Vision Windows on KFI. Really needed to replace 30 year old sliding glass doors. Craig Giras came out to my home and we spoke about their doors. I decided to go with AVW and had the sliders installed this weekend by a very professional team. They look great and come with a lifetime guarantee. Craig kept in touch through out the process and ensured that all went smoothly. If you’re considering replacing windows, sliders, etc. — I highly recommend AVW!!!

So it’s time for new Windows. I called American Vision windows. Ski came out great guy. I feel like I’m buying Windows from Nordstroms. A week later a measure tech comes out. Then another measure manager comes out just to make sure the Windows are good to go. I get a call from a very nice lady who tells me install will be on 9−23−15. My wife is very happy. So it’s game day the installers arrive and start installing. But there’s a problem two Windows don’t fit not a little but a lot. So I call the office to find out what’s going on. No one calls me back. Over all the installers are great took great care of my home. Thanks Frank for the phone call and rushing the reorder of the two new Windows. Ralph and his apprentice did a great job getting them in I only wish it was this great the first time around.

Our windows and shutters are now installed and we are happy with the end result. Unfortunately the process to get there was challenging to say the least but fortunately they were able to able to make it right! Tracy Brough and the VP was our saving grace. Once they were made aware of our situation they took the appropriate steps to resolve our issues.

I am extremely sorry i ever signed a contract with American Vision Windows for installation of all new windows in my condo. Initially, everything went well. The sales representative, Jay, was on time and seemed to know his product. As promised, the measurement tech was here within a week and actually came back to re-​measure when it was found that the original plan might not work. The problems began with the actual installation. A job that was promised to be completed in one day, perhaps two days max, ended up taking three months and three weeks.
The first day it turned out that the order was incomplete and three panels were missing. Next, the frame for the sliding glass door area in the living room was the wrong size. Then, the three missing panels arrived, one the wrong size and one cracked.
At this point I wrote the owners a letter and sent it certified mail, return receipt requested. I outlined the problems that were occurring and suggested they should check into the quality control aspect of their company. I received the receipt, so I know someone in the office accepted the letter, but I never heard anything from the owners. I had to keep calling my sales rep/​project manager to find out what was happening. At one point, he offered a gift card to thank me for my patience. I accepted
Next the right size panel and the replacement for the cracked panels were delivered. One panel was replaced, but then the crew dropped the last panel, and it shattered. The last panel was finally replaced, but the installation was still not complete because the company could not supply the finishing trim. The manufacturer, I was told, had stopped making that trim even before my installation started. Finally, a similar trim was found, and the job was completed.
My advice: Do not use American Vision Windows.

Surprised that a big company like this one end up giving me the best estimate of 5.

Salesman Jay was a nice guy and we worked out a good deal. I just could’ve done without the sales pitch. I guess some still use more traditional tactics.
Didn’t like the lead time of 8 – 9 weeks, compared to 4 weeks for some of the smaller companies. They’re THAT busy.
Our windows and french doors remain beautiful, with the exception of some of the screens now looking warped after my 2 yr old pushed them and loosened the mesh UGH. One of the locks of the French door side-​screens came loose, but one of my friends was able to fix it. Lastly, some of the windows don’t glide as easily anymore. Is it because of dirt getting stuck in the railings? I haven’t had the chance to give them a ring yet.

Windows and sliding doors are still in great condition.
American Vision Windows installed over 30 windows and 2 sliding doors (Anlin double pane) many years ago. I had one the best experiences with a contractor that installed them quickly, sealed all gaps, and for many many years (knock on wood), I have not had a problem (except for the dogs ruining the screen doors). But quality-​wise, I made a good selection and just wanted to report that the installation has lasted years so far and will hopefully will last for many more years.
