Based on the reviews I had hoped to be over the top with excitement but, the food was nothing special. I got a Rainbow Roll to go, and was a little concerned when it started smelling fishy in the car. I got home, took a tenative bite, and all seemed to be okay. I will say the customer service was good. I was told my order came with Miso soup, which they were kind enough to give me to enjoywhile I waited for my order. I WILL be going back, it just won’t be anytime soon.

Uhhh… they are closed?!(I really wanted sushi… no more Sunkissed roll…) We have enjoyed the unagi tempura roll tonight(and the sunkissed roll from last time). We are happy with Andy Sushi. Ichi sushi was our go-to for spicy tuna.(Ichi has been closed/taken over by Orange Sushi). Now, Andy is our replacement! You get friendly and polite service(whether it is dine in or an order to go). We were really impressed to be recognized/remembered. You made me a very happy customer, tonight!

Kevin(The Owner) & his brother Danny(The Sushi Chef) are so kind and considerate & down to earth. They create such a lovely ambiance in such a small space, they really make every customer feel special. On top of offering a free Korean ice coffee(which is out of this world) & they’re constantly giving you samples to «try» for new dishes that they are proposing for the menu… The White Knight Roll is amazing, the ANDY roll is mouth watering, the fish is always fresh and the prices are so reasonable(basic rolls are $ 3-$ 5)… He & his wife even remembered our wedding anniversary and bought us a special cake.(Because of course that’s where we went for our anniversary dinner) Best Sushi in Orange, CA with Heart.

We used to come here for lunch when it was Maki Yaki, the food was just ok, but Andy Sushi is soooo much better! I called in my lunch order yesterday, 7 people in my office ordered, it was ready in about 15 min. The Andy roll is my fav! Fast service-great selection-fair prices! Ya can’t ask for much more…

I ordered my meal on the phone to-go.(An Andy Special of a Spicy Tuna Crunch Roll and a regular spicy tuna). It includes a free miso soup. When I came in to pick up my food and pay, I asked the guy«Did you put wasabi in there?» He said yes. As I got home, I was so upset that he put a tiny dab of wasabi about the size of an Tic Tac candy. I couldn’t have enough to put them on all of my sushi pieces. Plus, I’m quite disgusted to see that my tunas came out in Orange color. I thought tuna and Sriracha makes it red. I took a bite of it and it is awful. I threw away like the last 3 pieces as I became sick. My miso soup has NO tofu. What the heck? Tofu is my favorite part of the soup and I can’t believe that they don’t put it in there. Well, I’m sorry Andy Sushi. I already gave you another try so I won’t come back again.

I came here for lunch on a whim. Placed a take out order and had to wait about 10 minutes for it to be ready. I got Cali roll and spicy tuna roll. Sushi was tasty and fresh, nothing fancy. But the customer service was awesome. While I was waiting for my food one of the guys gave me edamame for free to munch on, with like garlic on it? Omg it was so delicious! And just really nice of them. Then they gave me a free miso soup to take as well. Very friendly staff and good vibes all around!

Best sushi in the area. Andy’s has everything you would expect from a great sushi place. Andy’s has even started serving sushi burritos. So I guess there’s no need for me to venture into Fountain Valley for Samurai burrito. They seem to be expensive but that goes for any quality sushi place. A definite for sushi fans.

Friendly staff and delicious food! We happened to find this restaurant on Unilocal. It was the only place open on Sundays at 1100. I’m glad we stopped. We had their Miso soup which was on the house and it was very good. We had the popcorn lobster roll, white house roll and the Lotus roll. They were all very delicious. I would eat here again!

This place is good and reasonably priced but barely made it to 4 stars for me. The place is small and rather cramped. It’s located in a nondescript strip mall. Came in from the large amount of positive reviews on Unilocal.I knew that it wasn’t going to be a life altering sushi experience but I had a major hankering for sushi and came with a big appetite. I ordered the 3 rolls, the rainbow roll and andy’s roll and a salmon skin hand roll. Good amount of food and I got a free miso soup. Some reviewers act like this is the best thing in the world but from my POV, this should come standard. I did get free edamame though. That was nice. Definitely an overall good experience but far from great. Food was good. Service was good. Just nothing extraordinary and nothing different than your usual average prices sushi restaurant. I’m torn between a 3 and a 4 star. I’d actually give it a 3.5 if I could but I’ll finally opt for 4 stars because the staff seemed really nice and genuine.

#100Reviews2015 Review No. 16 My roommate swore by this place till just recently. She swears though that the food is subpar now, and refuses to return. Personally, I never experienced this sushi spot before its recent decline according to the roomie, so I’m basing my review on what I have experienced myself. Service is pretty decent, quick and friendly. The veggie tempura is a-ok, nothing spectacular as are the veggie handrolls. I love the fact that I can stuff myself with the«six quarter specials» such as the veggie hand rolls, miso soup, and assorted other bites. Grwat value. The restaurant itself is tiny, seating no more than about a dozen people, but it’s clean and cozy, and right next to a drive thru Starbucks for an after meal pick me up ;) The plaza its located in is usually not so busy that you can’t find parking, and take out is offered, but I highly recommend calling ahead. Oh, and miso soup is offered on the house, a bit salty, but tasty anyway :)

Awesome sushi! I was studying at Starbucks next door and decided to give this place a shot. The service was great! They were really nice and they gave me complimentary edamame that was fresh and delicious. I ordered the sun kissed roll and it was fresh and great! I took the sushi over to Starbucks so my boyfriend could try it and he loved it! He’s always picky about hole in the wall restaurants but looks like we are definitely coming back! If it wasn’t for my new diet, I’d probably have gone back and ordered 5 more rolls. lol Also I noticed they do delivery within 2 miles! I’ve always wanted to order sushi at home! So now I’m more excited about this yummy place(:

This is my new go to place for sushi. It’s inexpensive and delicious. I ordered the tray box and it came with miso soup, rice, teriyaki, spicy tuna roll, salad and fried shrimp… all for $ 9!!! They also deliver within two miles!!!

Went there Sunday night with my boyfriend and my mom, total of 3 of us. There was a two person table open and a group of two sitting at a 6 person table. Instead of rearranging chairs or telling us a wait time, the waitress came out to say«we have no room for you.» So incredibly rude. This place is a total ugly hole in the wall type of deal, but with terrible service to boot.

This place used to be good but we noticed the quality slowly diminishing. Tonight we called to place an order for pickup. I had seen their«New Menu» items on the wall just a few months ago and REALLY wanted to wolf down that Aloha roll. Well, the gal answering the phones said those were Maki Yaki’s items & not Andy’s even though I know that’s not the case. We proceeded to order and were then told they were out of cucumber for our rolls and hand rolls. Ummm, what?! Because there aren’t at least 3 grocery stores within 5 minutes and cucumbers are rare and expensive? I happen to really enjoy cucumber especially on sushi rolls. We passed and went to Tabi-Ji on Tustin instead. Well worth it for the quality and they had plenty of cucumber. Peace out, Andy’s sushi!

If you’re looking for a great deal and even better sushi, come to Andy Sushi where they have… Andy special! Which equates to two rolls for $ 10!!! Yes $ 10!!! What!!! Try there Calamari Tempura as an appetizer it will make you jump for joy as its chunks of calamari steaks! But wait… Justin also has a special!!! You get 3, yes count it 3 pieces of sushi plus your choice of 1 of 6 of there mid range rolls!!! Such as… The Hawaiian roll Or, The Rainbow roll The deals are to die for! You won’t regret coming here as its quick and the California roll is priced at $ 4 and is quite frankly one of the best I’ve had!!! Ask for Andy and tell him Jimmy sent you! Then sit back and enjoy the blank stare the staff will give you as they don’t know me! Nor have I met Andy! Or Justin!

Mmm sushi rolls and tempera goodness! Rolls were BIG-with more stuff in the middle than the rice that makes up for the size! Sushi quality was good, and fresh! Chicken teriyaki– HUGE! Lots of meat. =) Yay! I love that they were not stingy with their ginger, wasabi and side sauces. Look at these big containers full of giner and wasabi! FTW! Def, goooooood stuff!

Andy is pretty amazing! Great service is a huge factor for me. Upon entering Andy Sushi and Roll we were immediately greeted. Before we arrived I had read the previous Unilocal reviews regarding the owner and what a nice guy he was. Turns out the man who greeted us was Andy himself. We were seated immediately and provided menus. He asked if it was our first time and we all said yes and provided us with complimentary miso soup. We ordered a bento box, Spicy Tuna and California Hand rolls, dynamite appetizer, mixed tempura and shrimp tempura roll. They have a great selection of cut rolls but this time we opted for the basics. Even with the simplest of items, you can really taste the freshness of the food. Also, the rice ratio was perfect, not too much and not too little. I’m so glad Andy’s Sushi and Roll has arrived in Orange County. It’s only been opened for 6 months but I truly believe this place will have much success. 5 stars!

Walked in and experienced right away what everyone’s been talking about. The heads of cooks and order takers popped out from behind corners and back in the kitchen. Each calling to me with an exuberant«hellooooo» and smiles to match. I ordered the island roll trying to avoid rice. I really wanted to try the hand roll and he offered it to me without rice since he knew I didn’t want any. Then he even threw in a free miso soup. Definitely a very customer oriented staff. The fish was very fresh and tasty. My rice-less hand rolls were stuffed to the brim with spicy tuna in one and artificial crab in the other. Both were yummy as well. I do wish the rolls were wrapped a little tighter though. They were a bit flimsy and I ate with my hands to keep them together. Also there was a pretty looking stack of something next to my rolls… Not sure what to do with half a cucumber, a bunch of sliced red onions and a haystack of shredded… Jicama? I dunno what that was… Anyways service and fresh fish will bring me back!
