After my computer would boot up completely after a Windows 10 update I gave these guys a call. I explained my situation and they invited to bring it in. No charge to diagnose it. Dropped it off, and got a call later that day letting me know it was good to go. Anthony initially helped and then I met Carlos when I picked it up. Both guys gave excellent service. Not only did they fix my computer, they gave me some tips for the future. Highly recommend them to anyone.

Pretty quick response to messages left, very knowledgeable. They WILL fix what’s wrong. I handed off a custom PC rebuild that I I knew had either a spontaneously bad PS, MB or CPU — but I didn’t have the tools to test them independently. Carlos did a 100% free diagnosis. I ended up paying him to swap out the bad MB/​CPU for a new combo as their labor rates (vs. my time to do the job) made sense. He did a lot of disagnosis and legwork for only two billable hours. Solid.

Carlos diagnosed my computer right away. It had been running extremely slowly and email was hit or miss. It would take forever to go from website to website. Right away he found it didn’t have a virus but probably was interrupted during a Windows update (Windows 7). I left my computer with him. He took my Windows off and added a professional version. There wee some bugs with the operating system at first but he came to the house to pick up my laptop in the pouring rain and took it back to the shop to re-​install. After that I was back in business with a computer that works like new. Matthew, Carlos’ son is also very good at what he does. He came to the house on more than one occasion to re-​install the drives for my printer, scanner and camera. It’s been a month now and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Oh yes, Carlos also installed the latest version of the Microsoft office suite, which I greatly appreciate.

I needed to change out the SSD in my laptop but had a stripped screw on the chassis. I took the laptop in to CGS and they had the screw out in less than a minute. Saved me the hassle of buying a drill and possibly damaging my computer. It was a quick and easy fix, there was no charge, and they were incredibly generous and helpful.
I would definitely go back again for any future computer issues.

The wife and I owned two outdated laptops which we rarely used because of how slow they were. One of the laptops we never used because the charger went out. This was the laptop that had most of our photos and important info. At one point we placed all of our information on an external hard drive. Long story short, the external hard drive took a sh*t. I sought out a computer repair store and found Computer Genius Solutions. I explained my situation to Carlos and he was eager to help me out. He agreed to look at my external hard drive to see if he could retrieve any of my information from it. He accommodated my busy work schedule and allowed me to drop off the hard drive after hours. He advised me ahead of time that he would only charge me if he was able to retrieve and export the data. Unfortunately the hard drive really took a sh*t and he was unable to retrieve the information. Even after spending quality time attempting to retrieve my data, he still did not charge me. He even shipped my hard drive back to me free of charge. Honest good workers are hard to find in today’s word and I expressed my thanks. I then expressed my interest in getting a new computer or laptop. Carlos met with my wife and I to determined our needs. We later purchased a new PC that he custom built for us. He purchased a new charger for one of my laptops and transferred all of the data from the two laptops onto my new PC. The wife and I could not be happier with our new PC and all the software he included. We also have way better equipment running in our PC then you usually find at bestbuy. The price was more than fare considering all his hard work and professionalism. I highly recommend you talk to Carlos for all your computer needs. I have no reasons not to go back to him in the future.

Not only are they geniuses but genuinely good people as well.
I dont know much about computers but these guys made me feel relaxed and at ease when I asked all my newbie questions. Definitely will come back when I have another issue with my PC and definitely will recommend them to anyone.

I swung by here to ask about my Chromebook getting fixed. It’s in the second floor suite 224 you might get a little lost but can find it. Keep in mind a lot of their jobs are off site so I would recommend calling in first. I was assured someone was going to meet me shortly. After a little while i was greeted by this really nice guy (forgot his name gahh :() anywho he was super helpful and very honest. He helped me out by saying fixing my Chromebook was going to cost me more than what it was worth and I really appreciated that. He did let me know there was affordable laptops they sold, but I did not feel pressured by him at all. He gave me some cool pens and merch just for my visit. Customer service so good! I highly recommend this place, and I will come back for any other computer issues I might have in the future!

My custom built computer from 6 years ago was giving me some trouble with the ol’ blue screen of death. I did some trouble shooting myself and was pretty sure it was the hard drive, but wasn’t 100%. So I decided to take it into the shop.
I’m usually very skeptical when it comes to computer repair shops. I’ve been to a few that were very shady and would charge you an arm and a leg for literally nothing.
Come to find out these guys aren’t like that, they do what they do because they enjoy helping people. We hooked my computer up in their office and within a few minutes he confirmed it was the hard drive. I asked, what do I owe for the assistance, he said they don’t charge for little things like this and was just happy to help. So, If you need assistance fixing or upgrading your home computer, look no further than these guys. Also, remember they are upstairs.

Bare with me, I don’t want to skip any details and my grammar is horrible.
Let me start at the beginning:
there was a loud taping sound coming from underneath the key board of my Mac book pro, so being a normal human being I panicked over one of my favorite possessions. Because of the time of day I immediately called all the places near by that were still open, finally with no luck after multiple attempted calls I gave it one more shot and called computer genius Solutions and they were also about to close in 10 minutes also, BUT! On hearing my dilemma CARLOS the owner of the company not only assured me that he would stay open to help me But assured me that if it was something simple like a loose screw he wouldn’t charge me! (Warning)Finding the right door with carlos behind it was a bit confusing because it’s many different businesses operating out of the same building. once I found the right door the man inside was genuinely a friendly guy willing to help me out. carlos was even teaching me how to remove the screws from my lap top correctly without stripping them incase I decided to do it myself as well as summarized quickly for me what the main inside parts do, how those parts lock in and how those parts can become loose, while he was explaining about the parts, a small piece of plastic popped out from inside the laptop. The small piece had been hitting the keys and echoing in the frame work. Carlos Double checked for more plastic pieces then re screwed the bottom of my laptop back on and just like that my problem was solved. Seeing my older year Mac book Pro, carlos asked me if I needed any other parts like black grips that come on the bottom or letter keys of any sort and I replied, I do need one of the black grippers and the screen has a small crack in it. He told me he had a spare MacBook Pro in my exact year that he was using for parts and insisted I take it to revamp my laptop. When it came to finish the transaction he refused to take my money, assuring me it was a simple problem and I was doing him a favor by taking the parts. There Is subtle difference between nice and genuinely caring, small as it may be I could defiantly tell this man cared about my laptop and that i had a relaxed, informative experience. I bet he doesn’t even notice, it felt like it was just in his nature. Thanks computer genius Solutions, I had a great first experience with your company. I will definitely be back

I took my laptop here because it kept crashing and giving me a sad face, literally :(this would pop up on the screen. It was a brand new laptop so I had no clue why it was doing that. Luckily, Carlos recognized the problem immediately and had my system rebooted and working properly within a day or two. They even offered to pick up my laptop from my house so I didn’t have to drive it over. It’s been a month now and the laptop is working perfect. I would recommend this place to anyone who is having computer issues!

Initially, I decided to take my computer to Computer Genius Solutions because A) their reviews on Unilocal were very good and B) it is right around the corner from my house. After the incredible service, great turn around time, and quick diagnosis I am glad I chose Computer Genius Solutions. Carlos and Anthony were very knowledgeable and made me feel right at home. They made sure to consult me before any work was performed on my machine, and their pricing is really reasonable. My computer runs like when I bought it. I am really happy I brought my computer to Computer Genius Solutions and I will definitely go to them again for any computer repair needs.

These guys are great. I had a crashed hard drive and they scrambled to recover all my stuff. They were friendly and they didn’t mind going out of their way to lend a helping hand. They were extremely reasonable and they will not charge you excessively for their services. Honestly, this was one of the best tech services that I had in my experience. Definitely would recommend these guys for all your computer services.

I am wary of all servicemen be them car mechanics, plumbers, doctors. Most of them are either incompetent or riff-​off artists and leave a bad taste. So when I had this computer problem I called my computer guy but he said he is just too busy to help me. So I tried Unilocal and saw Computer Genius is near my home and has good ratings. I took a chance with Carlos and he came over and did a great job. No B.S. He is careful and thorough with the repair. Spent a lot of time and the charge was lower than expected.
As a doctorate engineer, I strongly recommend him to you guys. He is available at most hours including weekends.

Ok I had called many people to get my computer problem fixed first nobody answered the phone. But when I called Computer Genius they did! I am glad the others did not cause I got Carlos out to my business to get my network up and running and he did just that.
He is a great guy who knows what he is doing. Does not try and sell you stuff you do not need just gets you what you need and it works right the first time.
I am now using him on my other business cause I see how much better my things can run with him setting them up correctly.

I’m sooooooo happy to have found Carlos! After calling around a few places to get some quotes on removing a virus from my computer, I called Computer Genius Solutions and was so pleased with his prices and customer service that I scheduled an appointment on the spot. Carlos quoted an hour at $ 85/​hr and said he’d head over in 5 to 10 minutes, and I’m so happy to say that he delivered on both! He arrived promptly and was thorough, professional, and super friendly. And best of all he fixed my computer! And I really appreciated that Carlos wasn’t satisfied until he made sure everything was running smoothly. I will definitely be calling Carlos again the next time I break my computer :)

For the most part, I thought this place was really decent and was worth the money, considering it’s really difficult to find a good computer repairman in the city of Fullerton.
So, I’ve heard about Computer Genius Solutions (CGS), via Unilocal and some buddies of mine, and decided to check it out after finding out that my laptop had some serious issues in starting up. However, one of the things that bothered me was finding this place; unfortunately, CGS is not called as it is, because when I was driving down the road, we saw a sign written: «cell phones and electronics», which we took a wild guess that this was the place, considering the area was an industrial neighborhood with some nail salons and workshop suppliers. To the owners, it would kind of help if you put up the storefront sign with the name written here and on your site, because it was pretty hectic finding it (as a matter of fact, I had to use my GPS to find the store when I was only 1 block away).
Anyhow, I went into the shop and was greeted by a really young guy who really seemed to know what he was doing and explained clearly what the issue was and what it was they can do to solve the problem; I ended up paying $ 85 for a laptop screen that went black, but it really was worth the money, considering how quick the service was and how friendly and diligent the staff was.
However, there was one thing that kind of bugged me when talking to them. It seemed to me that they liked to estimate a lot of things. Not challenging their capabilities in electronic repair, but for some reason, they really like to say the words, «There’s a [x]% chance that [doing this] will fix the problem.» Sounds harmless, but when they make up some intricate numbers like 85% or 55% chance that my laptop would work, it almost sounds like they’re a bit unsure of what they’re doing. Fortunately, I was proven wrong about them being too unsure, but for the record, when they do mention things like this, it makes me kind of worried that the problem is more severe than it is. On the bright side though, they did have a policy that if they couldn’t fix the problem, then customers don’t have to pay a dime.
In a long run, I would most definitely recommend these guys if anyone had some problems with their pc or cellphone.

Great service. Carlos came to my place, very professional, knew just what to do and solved my problem. My laptop died, and he got the hard drive connected to another computer, loaded my Outlook data, got me running again. He went the extra mile and also checked with me later to make sure I was still in biz. Will use him again for other things.

I custom built my computer and it has been acting up lately so I decided to just pay extra money to get it fixed by someone professional. I looked on Unilocal and found great reviews on Carlos so I decided to give him a call. He was here for an hour and performed many tests to see the status of my computer. Everything looked okay and all we did was plug in the monitor cable to a different socket in my pc. In the end, he didn’t fix the problem and I basically paid $ 85 for the hour he was here because he goes by hourly. Carlos is great and he knows his stuff. He moves (and talks) fast as well but I’m just disappointed I still had to pay so much when he told me «nothing is wrong with my computer». He told me he would come back and take a look at it for free but ended up never coming around. I should’ve just asked one of my friends to take a look at it instead.
