The Computer Guys

The Computer Guys are still the only place I go for all my computer needs. I recently took my tablet in for a screen repair. This tablet was originally purchased for me from the Computer Guys as a gift. The Computer Guys quoted me that same day after I dropped it off on my way to work. As soon as I ok’d the repair, it was ready for pick-​up within a few days. Additionally, anytime I have any small problem with either of the laptops I bought from them in ²⁰¹¹⁄₂₀₁₂. they have fixed quickly and for little/​no cost depending on parts and the amount of labor needed for the fixes. I have never had ANY problems with any of the people who work here. They have all treated me with the utmost respect, have been helpful, kind and courteous while also explaining any items I have concerns about. I have recommended them time and again and have always had people tell me how great they were. Contrary to other (poorly written) reviews these men are honest and hardworking. They are not clowns and do excellent work while maintaining professionalism and service.

I love The Computer Guys Ed and Todd. The service is exceptional and prices are great. I have been using them for over 5 years and I look forward to our continued business. I feel they are very fair and honest they dont try to rip you off and have your best interests.

I don’t know if it just individuals who are super into computers never develop the people skills needed to communicate with the rest of the world or what but i don’t have too much good to say about these guys. I walk in two computer clowns working and one older lady probably a clown wife, i say high i needed to get my laptop looked at and she tell me «oh well we are getting ready to go to lunch so…» I say «soooooo» then clown was ask what is going on saving me from getting turned away by the «office assistant». I tell clown 1 my problem about my broken screen as clown 1 is listening clown 2 says well lets see what we have i take it the laptop and fire it up and clown 1 in a total dick tone says to me «well i can fix it now! god». i look at him with huge eyes and a blank stare. Meanwhile there is some other simple type buffoon (not sure what he does there) walking around me interrupting the clowns and my self to make the «are we gonna do the ten pound sledge test on this one» he continues to repeat this joke until i look at him and acknowledge him with a laugh. at this point clown 2 tells me yeah i can do it in 7 days with a price i remember being reasonable. as i am leaving i say «hey guys my the cord for my laptop is in the bag the battery is» then i am cut off by clown 1 «well yeah we need the cord how do you expect us to work on it» …are you kidding me this guy needs to be slapped.
7 days go by no call. day 9 i call. lucky me, clown 1 with all of those great people skills picks up the phone. after approx. 4 minutes of confusion he says yeah the laptop is done come down. I come down there and again clown 1 and 2 and the simpleton are in there. simpleton is back up to his old ten pound sledge routine again and after another 4 minutes of confusion they find my laptop… no bag… no power adaptor that i dropped off with it. I said hey guys i am missing a bag and a cord both of them seemed like they expected the other one to go find my stuff. I think clown 2 lost the silent war and had to go look for my stuff. After a few minutes the items were found, i left with my bag and my cord and a brand new scratch across the top of my laptop.

To be completely honest I first walked in thinking these guys are very kind and will help me out. After my experience I honestly don’t think they are even deserving of a one star.
I had a small problem with my MacBook Pro and my screen was wobbling on it. They took my laptop and took it apart tightened the screws and were done, so I thought. In the process they completely crashed my laptop and it was not turning on at all. I went back and the person whom worked on it popped off a very bad attitude saying he doesn’t really know what he can do and he said sorry. He then tried to say I may need to be new things from them so I they can fix it and get it to work again. A complete SCAM.
I tried to say very kind and demanded they fix it, because they were the ones who ended up breaking it. It has now been three days and they don’t return phone calls and they are just not kind about the situation at all. I am a very stressed out college student and my senior year thesis is due soon and it’s all saved to my laptop which they broke.
Just be aware that these guys don’t take what they do serious and they treated me with disrespect. They offered to give me $ 200 to put toward my next computer then tried to take my laptop saying they could salvage it for parts. They completely tried to scam me and I know they would salvage it and turn it into a completely brand new working Macbook. Being so frustrated I knew they’d give me $ 200 take my laptop and turn it around repairing it and selling it for $ 1000 or so.

Just got my computer back from these guys after the screen got broken. They had to order another screen, which they told me would take roughly a week to get (not their fault, obviously — that’s what happens when you have to order a part) and they said it would be anywhere from $ 80 to $ 150 for the screen, plus $ 60 for the repair. The screen ended up being $ 79.99, and it doesn’t seem like they charged me much, if anything, over what they paid for it, because I sure couldn’t find a screen myself for cheaper than that. It ended up being $ 150 total, and took exactly a week. Everyone in there is SUPER friendly and funny. I will definitely be back for any other computer needs!

This place is great to buy a computer for a decent price. They also repair just about any computer issue. Service is great, reliable and you will always get a call returned from them. The only downside is that the place reeks of urine. Made my eyes burn it was so bad. Not sure if someone Ned’s to change their depends more often or what but it was overpowering! !

With 3 days before the start of law school, my USB port decided to break. I needed to get this fixed ASAP and at a reasonable price. The Computer Guys replaced my broken USB in only 4 hours (same day service) and charged $ 139 (I received other quotes around $ 250). A real life saver!

Definitely a good group of guys that work here. Been coming to them for over 10 years for desktops & laptops. Don’t buy something from a big box store that’s preloaded with so much extra junk, use that money to customize & upgrade a built from the PC/​laptop here & they will clean it out & leave only what you need.
