I’ve been coming here for over 12 years and 5 different cars between myself, wife and son. The owner is amazing, always tells you all the options and exactly what is wrong. If he can’t find the problem he tells you that! Honest, great prices, great work. Best mechanic I have ever found.

First rate. They gave us fantastic care. Started with an estimate of what they need to look at and what it would cost. In the end they did not have to charge me for the initial review. Then they pinpointed the repair and they could have easily said it would have taken more work/​parts, but they did not. Care was given to inform us the entire way. Came in under the estimate and in less time. I cannot recommend enough.

My family has been taking all of our cars to FCE for several years. Shawn is not only a knowledgeable mechanic, but an honest and professional one. If you have any repairs done, he will show you the parts that are involved and show you photos of the part before and sometimes after the repair (if it’s not easily accessible or visible when reassembled). When I moved out of Orange County, I tried taking my car to other repair shops near me but I was always overcharged or the mechanic wasn’t very honest or knowledgeable. I stopped doing that. Even though I live an hour away, I will still make the drive out there because Shawn is the best. I highly recommend FCE.

I had to get a lip repair for my car, and the service here is phenomenal! I received a quick and reasonable quote from Shawn, and an hour later (past closing time), the repair was complete! Shawn even threw in a bit of coverup paint over the affected area. Overall awesome and friendly service. I would come again!

I’ve had several bad experiences with mechanics. They can sense that I do not know anything about cars and try to sell me a laundry list of services using fear tactics. But not Shawn. He was upfront with his costs and what he was doing. He answers all questions or concerns you have with an eagerness to help. Great customer service and I feel I can trust him.

I came in to get my air conditioning fixed. I normally don’t like to go to auto shops because I really dislike hustlers. I dealt with too many of that in the past and grew very tiresome of it. This auto shop was different. My first impression of Shawn was that he is an honest man. He knows what he’s talking about and he helps you understand what’s going on with your car. I think honesty goes a long way. Very good customer service. Even though it’s not close to my home, I don’t mind the drive because I feel very comfortable with Shawn and I trust his work.

Awesome service at very reasonable prices. Repairs done professionally, and a thorough going-​over of the whole car also. Totally not the type of guys to try to sell you repairs or service you don’t need.
Had work done recently, and they went over the items on my car that would need replacement in the future, but were honest about when and if I should do them. Shop is older (being downtown is the main reason) and probably not as tidy as it could be, but in the end, the work is done better than the dealer would have done. Going back when I need to!
