Entourage Salon and Spa

Given my first facial experience ever, I was given the opportunity to try Entourage spa for a birthday gift from my cousin who also got a facial the same day.
As I read most reviews, I could read how wonderful the staff and the quality of work was so I was definitely excited about that.
To start it off, 3 stars because my experience was mediocre as I was expecting just a tad bit more. I apologize to Entourage and my esthetician, Adele, who had to wait an extra 20 minutes for my arrival because I merely just got off work at 12:30 and stepped to get to my 1oclock appointment that was ahead booked for me. Then as I got there, this man greeted me abruptly and sighed in a monotonely and just told me to wait here as I was late and he needed to get Adele for me. Sure, I sat down for a quick second and he never came back, but Adele showed up. She was very nice and very sociable, I liked that.
As we enter this what I like to call secret dungeon, it was very calm and serene. But not really as I was getting my facial done. Walls are quite thin, so I could hear a lot of things going on outside and music was quite dim as well. On top of that, it was just too bright in the room to be able to fall asleep.
Fast forward, it felt quite short and I wished my esthetician explained and calmly took me through a soothing journey into relaxation but it was more questions about my skin care routine and products (sigh) but it’s okay I enjoyed hearing how she loved my glowing skin. I was finished, and all of a sudden I heard, «All done.» And she left the room. I did enjoy the bonus neck and arm massage given!
A lot of things were just all over the place, or maybe it was just me. Too many people walking around confused me as staff to clients. But other than that, try entourage for a good facial, their bar was nice too.

Very disappointed in the waxing service that my friend received here. My friend and I came here yesterday afternoon to have our eyebrows waxed after lunch. I am super picky and wanted to watch my friends tech first. While she was being waxed (eye brows) I noticed that the tech was double dipping the wax application stick into the wax with each application. For the entire wax she only used one stick. I asked her why she was doing that and not using a new stick each time. I advised her that it is very unsanitary to continue to use the same stick. She told me no it’s fine. This stick is only for her. I then asked if they use the same wax for Brazilian waxing. She stated yes. It’s very good wax and we have been using it for years. I said wow that’s super gross that you are double dipping, you see nothing wrong with it, and even justified doing it. She said don’t worry the wax is hot and it kills the bacteria. All I could say after that was not on my face. Just a word to the wise the wax is NOT hot enough to kill «everything» (as the tech said). It is SOOOO unsanitary to have your wax tech double dipping. I don’t know about you but I don’t want anyone’s butt wax clean or otherwise on my face or any other body part. I advised the lady at the check out about the entire interaction. She said it’s not their policy to «double dip» and that The tech was pretty new. I advised her that is that pot has been double dipped it should be tossed and filled with new wax. She did not seem to agree with that. She also still charged my friend full price for the service (being classy she still tipped 25%). Smh. I personally will not go back and will stick to my spot in the city. Good luck to all brave enough to get your waxing done here.

I’ve been going to entourage for 5+ years and I don’t like leaving negative reviews. The haircut was good and I’m happy with it and that’s why I gave the stars.
However, the price is RIDICULOUS for the service I got. $ 95 for a shampoo and cut. Apparently it’s a recent price increase… Either way, I was in the salon for no more than 20 minutes, had a normal wash and a very short haircut. My hair isn’t hard, it’s an easy style and I was out of the chair in probably 10 minutes.
What is frustrating about this is that I received such a standard and easy cut for over $ 100 (after tip) and I know that if I had gotten color (which is an extra service and would also last way longer) the price would have only gone up by $ 30. That’s a small cost difference for a big service difference.
My advice is lower your standard cut price — there’s no way I’ll ever go there for a haircut at that price and I don’t know who else would.
But if you’re going to have the customer pay top dollar, at least give top dollar customer service. I wasn’t offered water or a drink menu or food (I think you have food). I knocked off a star for that.

For the last few years one Christmas gift I’ve given my daughter is a spa day for the two of us. We’ve gone to an excellent salon in Vacaville for a pedicure and massage. My son got married last October, so this year my new daughter-​in-​law became part of our little tradition, but I encountered a problem; the wonderful salon we’d used for the last few years could not handle all three of us at the same time for either a pedi or massage. I certainly didn’t want one of us to sit around being the odd man out, so I searched for a salon that could do us all simultaneously. Enter Entourage. I made the reservation about a month out, and hoped it would be an okay place. It very much was. Despite the fact that I confirmed the reservation the day before, the staff didn’t seem quite prepared for us, but quickly got the ball rolling. The pedicures were FABULOUS, –we got the ‘Ultimate’ pedi which included paraffin wax because we were curious having never had it and oh my! We’re all three addicts now. Then we deemed our massages EXCELLENT, –all three of us felt the masseuses (sorry, guessed at spelling) did an outstanding job. Can’t wait for next years annual spa day and am seriously considering making it a semi-​annual or quarterly event. …okay, who am I kidding, monthly or weekly would do if I could afford it. The only reasons I didn’t give five stars was the feeling that they were unprepared at our arrival and the fact that though the salon was pleasant, relaxing, and appealing, there were things reaching the point that they should probably be replaced… for example, pedi carts were well broken in, and spa robes a bit thread bare. The little things that were worn around the edges here and there drew my attention and caused me to take a closer look, though I was very satisfied with cleanliness. I’m thinking the staff doesn’t see the wear and tear like a fresh set of eyes do. The big picture remains that I highly recommend this wonderful little gem.

Let’s just say the main reason I stopped coming here because I saw how the owner treats his employees. It’s the employees that makes up the Salon, not the owner. Very turned off by this. It’s like supporting a business that destroys the earth. It’s a shame that he can’t realize his employees is what makes him successful !
There is no doubt that this place is beautiful from the walk in eye. I have had just about all services from this salon so let’s start with hair. I had a male… No names here do a wash and blow dry for 45 $ which was expensive for what I received. The stylists tools and brushes had obviously not been sanitized in months. I’m luck I did not contract a disease. The pedicure section is always dirty and my pedicurist drew blood twice on my toes and barely understood English to clean it up.
In the back, the wax is SO unsanitary they use the same stick to apply wax to a woman’s vag as they do to their face… GROSS!
The facial ladies don’t truly know much about skin than what they have learned in school… At this point it’s only about sales. Oh AND lastly only one certified massage therapist I just found out. Out of the few they have working there. Hmmm something’s fishy about the prices we pay here for what we truly receive.

Disappointing for the price. This is a review for the only service that I’ve ever had at Entourage — a pedicure. Overall, Entourage is a day spa and salon that offers a variety of services — hair styling, manicures, pedicures, waxing, massages, etc. I’m a big fan of a one-​stop-​shop, so I was looking forward to my first trip to Entourage. I figured that if the pedicure went well, that would translate into me trying other services, and then being able to get all of my pampering needs taken care of at one place, so that I could minimize the time/​travel it takes to everything done at different locations. Anyways, the pedicure that I had was sadly, blah. The pedicurist did an okay job, but I was expecting more, since the pedicure was around $ 45. The massage that I had was weak and the pedicurist didn’t too great of a job with the callus remover (this cost $ 10 extra). Still on the search for a good pedicure place in the Lamorinda area. Entourage would have been the place for me, if only the price point was a tad cheaper.

I love Entourage! Its just a stone’s throw from Rockridge (one stop on BART) and upbeat and fancy. I’ve had massages in their day spa which, regardless of who you get, its heavenly. I always feel relaxed and rejuvenated. My hairdresser is Pam. What a delight! But most of all every haircut is perfect… sometimes edgy and I always get compliments and inquiries about where I get my hair «done»… In addition, and not an afterthought, it is scrupulously clean, the staff is positive and receptive and genuinely curious as to how I’m doing. Kudos to Gino, Linda and Staff!

My now adult children and I have been going to Entourage for many years and highly recommend them. We see Pearl, and she’s terrific. Always on time, pleasant, professional and fast! In general the salon is clean and well run. Gino is very generous with local community fundraisers too. Thanks all!

I went to Entourage to get my hair and makeup done for my wedding day in September. Everything turned out absolutely beautiful and just as I dreamed I wanted to look on my wedding day! It was just perfect.
Natalie did my makeup, and achieved the exact look that I was going for: natural, romantic, soft, beautiful. I don’t usually wear a ton of makeup, so wanted a natural look, yet taken up a few notches for my wedding! I came in a few months before the wedding for a trial, which was a great idea so we could decide exactly how I wanted to look for the actual day. Honestly, my makeup turned out so beautifully that I didn’t even know makeup could be that beautiful (and easy to wear— it lasted all day and night. I actually didn’t need to do any touch-​ups).
Pearl did my hair, who was also super wonderful! Similarly, I went in for a trial a few months before, where we tried out a couple of variations on my look. The end product was perfect! I opted for a low bun to compliment my lace back dress. She was so lovely is a true professional at what she does!
My sisters and mom also had their hair and makeup done by other stylists (Dante and others) and their hair and makeup turned out just beautifully!
I would highly recommended Entourage for wedding day hair and makeup. They made it super easy to schedule, the prices were VERY reasonable, were so sweet the whole time we were there, were efficient (we actually finished earlier than we thought!) and even gave us complimentary mimosas! Definitely a five start rating from this bride!

I have been going to Entourage for a number of years. They are friendly, clean and very fun with lots of new products and gifts items as I enter! I have been going to Pam and not only is she fun, she is always on time and very quick to color and cut my hair which I appreciate because I am so impatient and always running! And always

I’ve been getting my facials from Natalie for the past 10 years and she is AMAZING!!! I have really dry and sensitive skin, so my skin can easily become irritated if the wrong types of products are used on it. I’ve definitely experienced some unseemly breakouts in the past from facials that I’ve had done while on vacation at several ritzy hotel spas. I feel like a lot of estheticians don’t take the time to analyze your skin properly. They simply do the same facial over and over on their clients regardless of their skin type, age, ethnicity, or skin issues. Natalie is so knowledgeable and she actually takes the time to address my skin concerns, as they have changed a lot over the past 10 years. She is so patient and she always answers my endless beauty/​skin questions. Plus she never tries to up-​sell you on products either, which I truly appreciate. I cannot stand it when service providers try to pressure me into buying a surplus of products that I don’t need. My complexion definitely looks super radiant after my facials and I’ve noticed that my skin is «aging» really well (no one believes that I’m in my mid 30’s!!!) Natalie has flawless skin also, so it’s obvious that the girl knows what she’s doing. She is also an absolute doll and has a wonderful personality, so she is the whole esthetician package!!!

I absolutely loved the atmosphere & my stylist. When I came in, she directed me with options for my hair, and it turned out amazing.
The reason I am giving them a ²⁄₅ is because of the front desk customer service. I had originally booked my appointment for an Ombré. I already had an ombré, and wanted it touched up since it had been months. The stylist told me it was still looking good, so all we did was dye the bottom layer of my hair blonde (a VERY small portion of my hair) since that was the only part that had grown out. When I went to check out, I was still charged for an ombré, over 100 $ more than a single color dye. The front desk treated me as if I didn’t know what I was talking about, and didn’t make an effort to understand what I was saying.
I ended up paying way more than what I think I should’ve paid. I don’t believe $ 175 is reasonable to pay for a single color, bottom layer coloring, and to be treated like I didn’t know what an ombré was (I HAVE an ombré.) Although I loved my service– I am not a fan of being talked to in that manner, so I will not be returning.

Overpriced and poor quality. The set up and idea of the salon is great, but so disappointed in the quality of work. Visited the salon for a bridal shower, got a shellac manicure for $ 39 and my nails chipped less then 24 hours later. If you pay that much for nails you would at least expect it to last. In my town I pay $ 18 for gel nails that look just as good if not better and it always last for weeks. I called the owner to let him know how disappointed I was, got a voice mail and no return call. Save your money and visit another salon.

My stylist, Anna Maria did an incredible job on my color. I have some «unfortunate» grey hairs and as a designer am really picky about color. She took the time to consult and didn’t rush my appointment. I was very happy with the cut as well. Just the right amount of conversation.
I was booked for a bikini wax with Natalie. She did a thorough job :) — and was extremely personable and professional. I have had my share of waxing disasters and am thrilled to finally find someone I can stick with.
I will definitely return and will recommend both Natalie and Anna Maria to friends and family.

I have gone here for one service and one services only — a bikini wax with Natalie. I don’t know about the quality of the rest of their services, but Natalie is literally the best! I live in Cupertino and drive all the way to Orinda to see her.

Now, I know Orinda & their clients are more «up-​scale» & pompous; I was just not expecting that steep of a price for the service I received. When I called & made an appointment, the receptionist said it would be from $ 45-​$ 65, depending on the length of my hair & how much time it took. Yes, I do have a lot of hair (by «a lot» I mean it’s almost to the middle of my back, & it’s quite thick), & my appointment took a few minutes shy of an hour. But here’s the kicker: for $ 95, I expected my hair to look «bangin’», like I’m ready to bust out a Beyonce-​strut-​down-​the-​street, it looks that good. I had two events that I was attending that day. My appointment was at 10 AM. The curls on my hair were flat or have died down by 5 PM. (The stylist I usully go to at the Purple Shampoo Lounge, does a way better job, which is about three minutes away from my house, was busy all weekend. I decided try this place since it’s near my boyfriend’s house. After this, I’ll gladly trek on over to Union City to get my hair done, & back to Orinda, if need be.)
The stylist I was assigned to was a bit quiet when I first met her, & while she was washing my hair. It was almost like it took her a while to warm up to me. We chit-​chatted towards the middle of my appointment, & by the time I was out of there, I thought she was pleasant, down-​to-​Earth, & personable.
The salon itself looks swanky, modern, & trendy. They offer other services: massages, manicures, pedicures, & other hair services. I am still thinking about trying their Brazilian Blowout, which the stylist told me it would be $ 300 for my hair, & would be about a 2-​hour long process.
Call me crazy, but I’m still in shock for paying $ 95 for my appointment. I must be used to paying $ 45-​$ 50. That or Orinda is in a whole other tax bracket. Haha

After going to Entourage for over 10 years, I decided to find a new salon. I discovered that the stylist was over treating my hair by applying hair dye first, washing, then highlights, dryer, then a second washing and dry was ruining my hair. I used a different salon on one of my recent vacations and was told that the process used at Entourage was «old school» and I was lucky that my hair hadn’t suffered breakage or fallen out. Given the continuing price increases and the out-​dated processes used on my hair, I’ve switched salons. I also had experiences when they overbook appointments and found myself waiting over 30 minutes for my appointment when the time was confirmed earlier in the week. Service & quality has seriously declines. While prices go up. I found another salon that better appreciates their clients.

I’ve had many mani pedi’s in my day and today’s experience was one of the worst. My manicurist must have been a beginner. The management needs to do a better job in the hiring department. I’m giving the spa 2 stars only because of the neck massage. Skip the nail work all together!

If you have all the time in the world to wait and plenty of money to waist, Entourage is the place for you! I am usually running on a tight schedule and making an appointment seems like a way to minimize wait time. Twice I have made an appointment and ended up waiting just to be asked if I could come back a little later. Very disappointing.

Linda is absolutely fabulous. I usually get my hair cut and highlighted by her and she does an amazing job. She let’s you know exactly what’s she doing and why, and I love that. Furthermore, they are quite timely for a hair salon! I don’t know the number of times I’ve waited long past my appointment time for the stylist to finish up. I’ve never waited more that 10 mins at Entourage and they are so kind and apologetic.
I completely suggest Entourage for highlights and hair cuts for women (I personally don’t know any men who have had services there so can’t speak to that). You’ll love it.
