Kriser’s Natural Pet

This is about the third time I have taken my dog to this groomer and the other two times there were no problems. The first groomer that had groomed him the first two time that she groomed him there were no problems. But she has left because she is pregnant. And she started to have contractions yesterday which is when my dog had his original appointment. She forgot to call to reschedule yesterday and I went in either way and got rescheduled for today but with another groomer of course. And when I brought him in today she seemed like a very nice person and I explained everything to her and I warned her that my dog would bite if he got irritated. She seemed to not even care what I was telling her. She took my dog into the grooming area and put him in a cage and set him there for around 20 minutes and his appointment was at 11 am and he didn’t get started until around 11:20. She has 2 other dogs there waiting to get groomed. And they never used to schedule dog appointments back to back since I started going there. The new groomer said that it would take around three to four hours and the original groomer who’s name is Lana if I remember correctly the first time I ever too my dog Cooper in said it would take that or depending how he would behave. And it only took her 45 minutes or less. The two times I took him in that was the maximum about of time it took her to groom my dog. And this time with the replacement groomer they had it took her about four hours and 20 minutes. This was all because of the bad service they have recently had. I stayed out in my car with my aunt for all those four hours and when she was grooming the other dog that was there before mine she kept the blinds open but then she saw my aunt and I were there she closed the blinds and see started pulling at by dogs feet because he obviously get uncomfortable. Then she called in the girl who was working at the register her name was Kristine and they but a huge bulky collar on him. Which I perfectly understand for their safety and all of that but they was no need to to close the blinds of the grooming area if there were nothing to hide. And then I called in once the four hours we up and Kristine answered the phone and she said she still need about another 15 – 20 minutes. And I had had enough by that time so I just told her to stop working because out of all those four hours my dog has been there she only took about 1 hour to actually groom him and the rest of the time we were there she was grooming the other two dogs. Once I called in to tell them to stop grooming my dog I got out of my car and went inside the girl named Kristine said laughing «He was really bad today!» And I responded with «No really he’s never been here this long I told you he would get inpatient?!» Then she responded «But he bite the groomer really bad. Impatient is one thing and biting is very different.» And I had told the groomer and Kristine since we got there that my dog bite sometimes when he felt tense or impatient and it was then up to her if she wanted to take him in to groom him or not. And Kristine said again that I was impossible that the original groomer Lana to finish my dog who’s a Shih Tzu in that short of time and it was possible because Lana had done that already twice before this bad incident. And she kept repeating that and that the least amount of time it would take to groom a dog of his breed would be two hours but the groomer didn’t even take two hours on him alone in the first place. And after all that I just stopped arguing and let my dad handle all of this. He called Kristine at this store and she talked to my dad like nothing has happened she said that nothing had happened that my dog was very well behaved and that he hadn’t bite the groomer and my aunt and I clearly saw the groomer thumb was bleeding but it wasn’t that severe and how was he not going to bite her if the groomer was pulling at her. And then my dad asked for the corporation phone number and Kristine said that there wasn’t one and by dad is a manager of a business and he knows that every company has to have one. At the end of all of that Kristine that they would refund the money that I cost to get my dog groomed. But I could care less about the money all I care about is about my dogs well being and not only my pets well being while he’s there because I trusted them to take good care of him. But what about all the other dogs well being too. There owners might of not said anything because they thought they wouldn’t be accounted for. Hopefully someone close to the corporation will see this.

I was so impressed with Kriser’s. They were so attentive to us the moment we walked in the door… Fawning all over my Litte Mama Mia giving her so much attention.
Lana did such a wonderful job. She knew I was going to the mall while waiting so she took the time to update me which I loved.
Lana did such a fantastic job with Mia. I totally recommend Kriser’s for grooming needs. You can tell the love for animals that she has.

This review is way overdue. We’ve been coming here since this location opened and love it! We have two goldendoodles and come here for their food, treats, and grooming. Kriser’s is one of the only local stores that carries the grain free food we chose for our dogs, so we were thrilled when they opened in Orland. We love that all of the food and treats are hand selected for their quality. We never have to second guess if what we are giving our dogs is healthy for them. Everyone here is extremely welcoming and friendly and knows us and our dogs. Lana is the best groomer around. She has quickly become the area’s goldendoodle grooming expert. Doodles are not easy to groom because their coats can be thick and mat easily and can take hours to groom. Lana is meticulous and goes way above and beyond when grooming our dogs. She has stayed late to groom our doodles, calls us to update her progress, and most important, really loves our dogs. So thankful for this place!

This is a great store, the staff is very helpful and friendly. I love the fact that everything is made in America. It’s always so neat and clean. I have five rescue dogs of different sizes and breeds and Kriser’s in Orland Park has something for all. «LOVE this place»

Love Kriser’s and Lana, the groomer! We have taken our beloved Old English Sheepdog there for several months now and Lana has done an amazing job on him! She takes her time giving him breaks and treats and he loves her! She is kind, patient, professional and does a great job on our Sheepie. Anyone with an OES knows that they are not easy to groom; our Sheepdog comes home looking and smelling beautiful! I would recommend Lana and Kriser’s in Orland Park to anyone and everyone! Lana even keeps me informed via texyt as to how it is going and sends me photos! I love that «Stache» the Chihuahua is there to greet us!, too! He is a sweetheart! Thank you Lana and the staff at Kriser’s!

I love bringing my dog to Krisers for grooming. It is a small and friendly business and Lana does a great job grooming my little guy! He is super chill when he goes there and gets excited to see Lana. It is not like other places where the dog has an anxiety attack when you walk in the door. Lana is so good with the dogs that he actually looks forward to going and enjoys his pampering time! He acts like he’s at a spa and loves all the attention. I love that you can see the whole grooming session, he’s not taken in back where you don’t know what’s going on. Not only can you see everything, Lana, has no problem inviting you in the room while she is working as she is finishing up. I am very comfortable leaving him here for a couple hours to get my errands done while he is pampered! (Years ago I found out the groomer I had been using at a different business had been giving my dog «sedatives» without my permission.) Most importantly, Lana does a great job grooming him and she is very thorough as well. (She brushes his teeth and does the anal gland thing, too — and it’s very important that your dog has this done regularly!!) I have had only pleasant experiences here and would highly recommend people bringing their dog here. Also, I was trying to find a food that Brody would like — he is sooooooo picky — i’ve been hand feeding like a baby for a year and he would spit his food out like a baby! I’ve spent hundreds of dollars trying various food brands. The other day, one of the employees there gave me several samples to have him try, but then Lana told me to try Stella’s Chewys dehydrated food patties. I am thrilled to say after 1 ½ years my dog is eating off of a dog plate and loving his food!!! #Persistence #Gratitude #RecommendationsRock Thanks Lana & Brody Thanks you, too!

I have been to many groomers but this one is by far the best. Lana is not only talented but very nice and even offered to groom my cat which she did a tremendous job. Each time my pets get groomed she puts a little bow tie on them. They have an open window so you can watch if you like. The prices are great my pets always come out great. If your looking for a good groomer Lana is the one.

Do not bring your dog here, unless you want it attacked as soon as you walk in. We barely made it in the store when the chihuahua that belongs to one of the girls that works there attacked my 14 week old puppy. My dog was at the water bowl drinking and this dog was at his bum sniffing it, so my dog turned around to see what was going on and this dog completely unprovoked bit my pups face. After that incident there was no way we could shop there. We’ve taken our dog to the other pet stores in the area and never had any problems, so if this dog in Kriser’s is so aggressive perhaps he shouldn’t be allowed. They’ve lost our business and will continue to do so if they’re not more careful.

We went to try out a new place for grooming and got so much more! Our dachshund Penelope was groomed for $ 40. She had her ears cleaned, teeth brushed, anal glands, cut & styled and bathed! That’s a bang for your buck if you ask me! The groomer Lana was very friendly and advised us how to have our dog cut & it turned out great! I love that you can stay with your dog the whole time. We ended up staying and going back and forth from the groomer to the store.
We shopped around the store and Beth helped us. Great associate with so much knowledge! I can see her going far in this company. She did not pressure is into buying a new food but she gave us so much information and free samples. She also informed us of some good websites that can be valuable when choosing a food for your dog.
We had an overall great experience and we will be back in the future!

I love this place! The staff were so friendly and knowledgeable. I returned a week later for grooming and again was very satisfied. I am thankful I have found it :)

I arrived hoping for more dog items — very limited. The staff appeared to be very uppity when I asked questions about the food. When I mentioned what I was feeding my dogs the employee acted as though I was feeding my dog feces — though the food I was giving my dog was highly rated as good organic meat based food by Dog Food Advisor. Their facility was very clean and they do have fruit and veggie wheat free/​grain free items.

First, Let me clarify that my rating is based on today’s visit alone. Krisers sells amazing products for your pet, but my visit today was horrific and it’s a warning to other pet owners who like to have their pets accompany them when they’re shopping for pet products.
The second I walked in the door with my beagle Jax today, a tall very light tannish-​white colored dog comes racing to the door, at first the dog and my dog sniffed each other and all seemed well, but as Jax began to walk away, the store’s dog attacked Jax. Next thing I know my poor dog is Unilocaling and I see the store’s dog has his/​her teeth around Jax’s neck. The 2 store clerks that worked today immediately rushed to pull their dog off Jax. Although shaken, thankfully no puncture wounds to my dog’s neck, You would think the store would immediately put their dog away, but no that wasn’t the case. I asked the clerks to please put their dog away, so we can at least purchase food. But Jax was too frightened and kept pulling himself out the front door. So we left.
I was frightened, confused, angry but mostly sad. It broke my heart to hear my little guy Unilocal like that.
I’m so disappointed in Kriser’s.

Wow! They now have a location in the Southwest Suburbs. Great place to get All Natural Pet Food, Supplies, Supplements, and Grooming. Can’t wait for the Grand Opening on Saturday. Bandit and I will be the first in line:)
