Was a really good experience. The parking and the line hold it back from 5 stars. The amount of business ensures however that your food will be served hot fresh and willing. Had the burnt tips sammich with mac n cheese and fries. Ate outside(inside is cramped) and thoroughly enjoyed my entire experience. Hopefully that extremely bland whalbergers joint will take some customers out of line for a bit, until they realize how dumb they are

Pretty little 4-Rivers location inside the Orlando City Hall. The space is modern and open with a art gallery area as you enter. There is lots of outside seating and some inside as well. This location is compact, but very efficient. The staff are quick to take your order and get you to the checkout at the end of the cafeteria line. No table service, just like an old school cafeteria with trays here. This location doesn’t have all the same food items as other 4-Rivers locations, but there is plenty to choose from. Love that you can order menu items like fried chicken tenders from their other restaurant The Coop, and newer menu additions like tacos. The beginning of the order line has«to go» items packaged in a refrigerated shelf for a quick lunch options, items like quinoa salad and chicken salad. Lots of good flavor choices and convenience here. There is a smaller counter area that sells coffee and treats like cookies. Surprised at how compact, efficient, and pretty this little space is, great job on making it work in Downtown Orlando. Look for«Buddy» the Steer when you’re inside… named for Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer.

I was so excited when 4 Rivers opened a downtown location since it’s so close to my office. The food is just as delicious as the other locations and they mix it up with some Coop items(mainly breakfast — YES, BREAKFAST). There can be long lines for the lunch crowds, but there is plenty of seating inside or the outdoor patio. Keep in mind that this is located in the City Hall building so don’t expect to find parking all that easily.

FYI: I am SOOOGLADTHEYAREOPENINGTHEIR13th Location INSOUTHTAMPA. On Swann & Mc Dill! Had to drop someone off at the Orlando City Hall. Stopped at the front lot, found on Unilocal. The 4 Rivers Smokehouse. I am so glad I did not venture off in the chilly wind. In the middle of Lunch Rush Hour. When you get here. You get in line to place your order. I met two very nice young ladies. That offered info. On the different options of ordering smaller portions of the menu listed items. If your appetite is not Really Big. For this time of day. For example, instead of the large Brisket Sandwich. I went for the Brisket Sliders. You can have 2 And 2 Sides. I did 1 with 1 side(Fries). The Brisket was Juicy, cut to perfection. The people that work here have Customer Satisfaction Down to PERFECTION:-! My food was served Promptly. Everything here is Superrr CLEAN. I hope To Be Back SOON. A++ to Their Bryant, Mgr. speaks so highly of his employees. He seems to have great work ethic. This place is a MUSTTRY.

They had no available food! I’ve seem numerous favorable reviews, so I thought I’d try it out. I got there at approximately 10:30am, and I was looking over their breakfast and lunch menus. While I was waiting, an employee explained to me that breakfast was over, and that their lunch menu would not be available for another 15 – 20 minutes. I was extremely disappointed. I left, because I can’t wait 20 minutes, and get back to work on-time. They close rather early, 3pm, so to have no options available for at least 15 – 20 minutes is kind’ve ridiculous.

There’s a reason we all drive around Central Florida with their bumper sticker on our cars. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu!

Beware of the dreaded lunch crowd! It’s still really busy since it’s relatively new. There are lines out the door. Otherwise it’s everything you’d want out of a 4 Rivers location. The brisket tacos are delish!

4 Rivers chose to open a location downtown and I couldn’t be happier! This place is located next door to where I work so its safe to say that its always in contention when it comes to finding a lunch spot! John Rivers chose to create a venue that has breakfast and lunch options that not only are blends from the Coop and a 4 Rivers Smokehouse, but also healthy grab and go items! They even have some coffee offerings now! The good: Menu: The menu for breakfast and lunch is fairly large and offers a wide range of foods. Note: not just BBQ offerings exist. There is also a «Buddy’s Picks» section that boasts healthy salads, Quinoa dishes, etc for grab and go! Favorite items are the Sliders(no bun and with the ‘works’) and the Spud Love option! I find that their portion sizes are larger here than at the Winterpark location! Service: They run an efficient operation and the staff is friendly and attentive. If you sit at the restaurant(indoor or outdoor) you’ll most likely have an employee come by at least once asking if they can refill your glass or take away any trash. Loyalty: You can sign up for their Pitmaster Loyalty Program where every ten purchase gets you a free sandwich! Bonus points to the people who accrue 20 visits in a month and achieve Pitmaster Status! The Bad: None Yet! Tl;Dr: The downtown breakfast and lunch scene has grown with the new 4Rivers downtown! Enjoy classics like the brisket sandwich or try out new offerings like brisket tacos, spudlove, or any of their breakfast offerings!

The rating is for the brisket street tacos. I haven’t had any of their other menu items at this location. They do not offer the tacos at other locations.

This place is literally my dream come true in Downtown. I used to drive all the way to Winter Park to get my barbecue fix, but no more!

Textbook definition of mediocrity. The mac and cheese is soupy and flavorless. No crust. The collards are supermarket canned quality. The supposedly smoked chicken is what people up North would call BBQ, i.e., chicken cooked for a short while on the grill. Only the BBQ sauce gave it flavor. Also, the quarter chicken was only a leg. Service is slow and comes to a bottleneck at the cashier. And even after paying, we had to wait several minutes for our chicken to be brought out, while the sides cooled in their little containers. The name should be changed from 4 Rivers to Sold Down the River.

Went for lunch. I’ve had it before to go but that was years ago. I had high expectations. I really enjoyed the smoked peppers wrapped in bacon and the cheese grit cakes. I ordered the burnt ends for my sandwich and I was a little disappointed. I have had«burnt ends» before and it’s always been chunks of the slightly caramelized burnt delicious ends of the meat whereas this was a more mushy wannabe pulled pork version without the yumminess of the burnt ends. I would get a different entrée but would return. With a Coke it came to about $ 12 so a little pricey for not too huge of a lunch of food but I picked smaller sides so that could be my choices. Was packed for lunch but hopefully will slow down a little once people get used to a location downtown.
