Hands down, Best French bistro in downtown Orlando! Awesome staff, friendly/​chill environment and affordable prices. 10 stars

(More like a 3.5 than a 4, really). What I mostly like about this place is the atmosphere and the food was pretty good. I ordered an egg whites omelette which I guess you can’t go wrong with. What the rest of my party ordered was very tasty. The croissant was missing a bit of cheese but other than that I would totally go back.
We went on Valentine’s Day so we didn’t get the best service since they were very busy. I’m really hoping that happened because of Vday and that it is not a usual thing. We arrived and there was no line. They handed us some menus and when we went to order someone went to «check out” — clearly a usual customer since they were greeted with kisses and hugs. But they just left us waiting. Between the rush and the calls, they finally took our order about 8 minutes later. The food came out at a normal speed but without forks and knives. We had to ask for them twice before we got them.
I repeat that the food everyone around me ordered looked amazing. I will tell people about this place because I think for those that eat crepes and croissants they will really enjoy it!

I stop by quite often. They make a very nice sandwich. I suggest you skip the big name restaurants and pop into this restaurant.

I kept hearing great things about this place and finally tried it out for myself. Best description is –Delicious, Fabulous, & Quaint, with a strong selection to choose from on the menu.
The Nutella crêpe was phenomenal and the Philly steak on baguette w/​Au jus was seriously aaaamazing !
Can’t wait to go back and try other things! The people sitting around us all were raving about their meals! A definite winner !

Busy Saturday morning. Good fast service by the owner! Fresh 3 cheese crepes and onion soup. Authentic and comforting. Will be back.

Good food, but slow service if you work downtown. Order ahead. Very small place, so it gets packed fast. Soup and baguette sandwich was pretty good, nothing special.

Good breakfast! Especially love the French music playing at the background! The crêpe is huge and comes with a side salad! Very filling!

Didn’t have a good night’s sleep so I decided to treat myself to breakfast instead having my usual shake. Found Le Gourmet Break on Unilocal and it was close to my work place downtown.
I’m not from Orlando, but glad I got to discover this place prior to leaving. I was the first one thru the door and was greeted with great customer service. That was the topping to the delicious offerings they had.
Highly recommend this small business, especially if your in the local area.

I have died and gone to heaven. This place is so great. HUGE breakfast croissant and the most beautiful pastries you’ve ever seen. The owner is super warm and friendly. Wish I had this place back in Virginia!

The staff and owner are so helpful and inviting. Crepes are great and quiche is outstanding. Small place so reserve a spot or get there early for lunch. Love this place.

Really good breakfast and pastries. Wish we lived closer so we could frequent here more often. It’s located in a nice area and is kept very clean. We need more places like this in my own town! The French Breakfast and Make Your Own Omelette were delicious.

BEST CROISSANTS EVER!!! The owner, Aurelie, makes you feel so much at home, even hundreds of miles away. We are from Virginia and stopped in for a quick brunch on the way home. We wound up buying her out of her Chocolate Almond Croissants. Absolutely to die for. We may have sparked a new revenue source for Aurelie as we started talking about shipping the croissants up to VA (YES THEY ARE THAT GOOD). We also got the Nutella crape (delicious), 2 omlet croissant (great) and Tomato Basil soup. All of the food here is great, delicious and prices are great.
In speaking with Aurelie, she said she didn’t want a tourist based location as patrons don’t have the same appreciation for the quality of food Le Gourmet offers. I agree, so if you have a great appreciation for quality French Food, or are looking for an amazing new place to try, this is the place to be.
Parking is available in the same building (in the alleyway under the building $ 10)

I don’t even know where to begin. this place is simply amazing! My bf & I came to Orlando for his birthday and being the pastry snob that he is (JK ;P) requested a crêpe for his birthday breakfast. I decided to google breakfast places in Orlando and stumbled across this gem. I read some of the Unilocal reviews which were awesome so we decided to give it a try and boy are we glad we did!
The ambiance of this place is so cute and decorated like a little french café. The ladies working were so sweet and helpful as well. After going over some menu items with me I decided to go with the grilled chicken panini with mozzarella cheese and OOHH EM GEE was it good and so filling. I was only able to eat half. I also got a small vanilla latte with two shots of expresso and it was perf I am already craving another one! my bf got his crêpe with stawberries and bananas covered in dark chocolate. He said it was also delicious!
Needless to say, I wish we didn’t live 2 ½ hours away because this place would for sure be a local spot!

Oh.em.gee. I loved my breakfast here!!! You walk in thinking they only sell pastries and then bam! a huge omelette plate passes right in front of your eyes. First of all let me say that the owner is awesome. She really loves what she does and loves making customers happy. Also, her peach mimosas are the best I’ve ever had!
I had the croissant with eggs under the American breakfast section and could barely eat half. This is a French bakery café but the portions are very American! The croissant was soft and fluffy, the eggs were hot and I was able to add mozzarella to them. My boyfriend had the Nutella crêpe and it was perfect. We decided to have the chocolate and almond croissant for dessert. It was delicious!
Great food, outstanding service. Thank you fellow Unilocalers for helping me find yet another wonderful place. Next time I’m in Orlando I will be coming back for sure. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

Love this place for a decadent and authentic French breakfast or lunch! The owner, Aurelie, is so charming, and best of all, she is a skilled baker. I’ve tried many items here; fruit tarts, lemon cream tarts, napoleon desserts, croissants, omelette-​croissant sandwiches, and the croque-​monsieur sandwich. All of these items have been fantastic. So far my favorite has been the wonderfully sweet-​tart lemon cream tart. This item is only available sometimes, so if you see it, get one. The food and dessert presentation is lovely, and the items taste as good as they look. I sometimes have the omelette-​croissant sandwich, and it’s big-​so it’s nice to share or have the whole thing for lunch.
This is not a huge place, but it’s great for breakfast and it can get busy during the morning coffee rush time. Speaking of coffee, their coffee is great too. This is a hidden gem in downtown Orlando. I was in the area for a weekend 5K event, and found there are not too many breakfast places open early on a Saturday morning in downtown Orlando. So happy this place was open and ready!

What a lovely little find. We popped into downtown from Oviedo easter weekend. Saturday morning was busy but tables were turning and people were enjoying their food. The line was not long at all, maybe one or two people in it at any given time.
They have many choices and it was difficult to decide. So since I have never had a true buckwheat crêpe, and no carb lent was over, I was going to indulge in that and a pastry. BF got the american breakfast sandwich that comes served on a fresh croissant. He added ham and brie to his. He loved that his sandwich included a coffee in the price. My crêpe choice was le forest with ham swiss, sour cream and mushrooms. We jointly agreed on the chocolate almond croissant. I added a coffee.
They served us the pastry and coffee and we picked out our table. We dug in and the mmmmss started humming out of our mouths. I didn’t want to share but then I remembered wanting an éclair to finish our meal and so splitting a little of each was a good idea as these pastries are rich and flavorful!
We received our breakfast items and we were very happy with our choices. My crêpe was delicious although I wish the inside was a bit warmer and more melted. His breakfast sandwich was fluffy and cheesy, just like he likes them. We shared and enjoyed. I liked the little salad that came with the crêpe, the vinaigrette was just right for breakfast, not too acidic but flavorful.
We did decide to have an éclair and at the last minute I decided to add two macaroons. Now the macaroon decision was based on what I thought the price was, .60 cents. I thought oh little cookie bites for that, OK. No, the little sign covered up the 1 in the 1.60 price tag. I understand that they are time consuming but they are half dollar sized. They were good but I would have gotten a whole separate pastry for 3.20. The value wasn’t there for me. We also received passion fruit instead of caramel and while it was good it is always sad not to get what you asked for. The éclair was really great. The pastry cream was light and flavorful. The patachoux was truly excellent. I wish there was a slight more chocolate topping but really I am being picky there. Anything with their patachoux is worth trying based on that quality alone.
The coffee was served super hot. Some people love their coffee hot, I don’t. It was pretty good coffee. Tasted robust and fresh, like real coffee should.
This is a gem in Orlando. It is rare to find places at this quality and price point that is authentic as well. They were so friendly and they appreciated that my BF used his rusty french with them as much as possible. I am glad we got to support them and I can see us coming back here in the future when we are visiting family.

My friends and I were there just yesterday. I had the Le Veggie Crêpe, four macarons, and a Raspberry Danish.

The place is very quaint but the food is filling — don’t be taken aback by the portion size. We went for lunch, Aurelie is the owner and she is very personable, along with her husband and her team.
THIS PLACE IS FRENCH AUTHENTIC!!! This is very hard to come by in the USA.
I will visit again.

What does a breakfast place need in order to be great? For me, three things:
1. Great food
2. Great coffee
3. Great service
Le Gourmet Break hits all three of these requirements out of the park. The food is excellent. I ordered the turkey and swiss croissant, American style, which included a delicious egg omelet envelope for the turkey and swiss. I was so impressed. Brought out steaming hot, the croissant was unbelievably buttery and rich. The chewiness and taste of the swiss cheese went so well with the flakiness, and the egg brought it all together. Just wonderful.
Coffee should be good when you’re ordering it from anywhere other than 7/​11/​McDonalds/​Dunkin’ Donuts. Thankfully, they do it right here. The coffee was rich and strong, some of the best I’ve had in recent memory.
Finally, the service here was excellent for us. The employees we interacted with during our visit were all French, and even though we were in downtown Orlando there is a real French vibe to this place. More importantly, everyone was super nice. Glad to hear from the owner that business is going really well, this place certainly deserves it.
Bottom Line: Le Gourmet Break is wonderful and is definitely worth the 20 or so minute ride from the theme parks for the breakfast (and pastries!) they offer here. I can’t wait to come back and try more things next time I’m in Orlando.
