Amazing vegan restaurant with a delicious assortment to select from. It’s a small place with both indoor & outdoor seating. My drink was served in cute Mason jar.

Ha! Posted the wrong review for the wrong restaurant which is why I’m editing. Cute little café! Love the vibes and décor. Glad I found this place, all thanks to Unilocal!Lots of vegetarian options. I got the girlled cheese which came with chips and guac on the side. Super yum! They were super busy on a weekday during lunch hours so I felt a little rushed to order but definitely want to come at a slower time to check out their tea collection. Will definitely be back!

Ahhhmazing As soon as I pulled up I to this gem I knew I was in for a treat! Tucked away on a side street in DT Orlando, it’s hard to spot at first! The smell as I walked in hinted to me that I was about to fill up my stomach with awesomeness! And that I did. Not a large menu, simple yet unique with almost all Vegan items and local brews this menu has great options. I ordered the portobello sandwich with their creamy tomato mushroom soup… delicious! You forget it’s Vegan! The sauce in this sandwich and mushrooms just make for an amazing flavor in your mouth! Everything that passed by me looked just as amazing! I can’t wait to come back and try more and for the prices, you can’t beat it! Def recommend for all my Vegan friends and non– vegan as well!

Had my first proper dining experience at Dandelion… WTH was I waiting for?! I made sure to bring a Dandy pro with me(Elite Unilocaler Pam H) and she showed me the ropes. We happened to come here on «Giddyup Monday» which was in our favor because they’re $ 5(regularly $ 9). So that I was able to try different menu items, we each decided to order something different, then split our meals between each other. So we had a Giddyup and a Black Bean Burrito and went with the dairy queso(you can get vegan) and hummus for our sides. I went with one of the fresh brewed fruit teas(iced) which was great. I don’t remember the flavor but it was refreshing and great without any sweetener. The interior reminds me of an old renovated cottage house. There are a few small dining rooms or you can eat outside in the patio area. We picked a corner in one of the rooms. It was nice and cozy and I also loved the artwork adorning the walls which also happened to be available for purchase. Our food was brought out to us by an employee. The burritos were massive. The Giddyup was delicious and now I understand all the hype surrounding it. As a recently converted vegetarian, it’s hard to find meals that are satisfying and keep you full. You won’t have that problem here. I had half of the Giddyup and I was DONE. It’s a burrito stuffed with tempeh chili, crumbled blue corn chips, tomatoes, scallions and cheese. You can also add quinoa and/or spring mix to. And if you’re trying to avoid the carbs, you can get it in salad form. Anyways it was delicious. Our meals came with blue corn tortillas chips which we used to dip into the queso and hummus. Unfortunately, I was so full that I didn’t even get to try the black bean burrito. Brought it home and my husband had it. He seemed to enjoy it so I think he won’t be as skeptical the next time I suggest dining here. Don’t be intimidated by the menu. I would suggest browsing before getting in line to order though so you have somewhat of an idea. They are so many great items on the menu that I can’t wait to try for future visits. But I think I may have to personally designate Mondays for Giddyups! Thanks a lot, Pam! lol

One of the best vegan restaurants around the Orlando area with a few vegetarian options as well such as dairy cheese. Although it gets busy it is worth the wait and scavenge for a table to sit. Their best deal is on Mondays for their $ 5 Giddy Up special which comprises of vegan chili and very yummy. They have events going on almost every week but seeing as this is a restaurant I would only comment on their food and atmosphere. It’s a wonderful spot for a date in the afternoon as most of their food seems fit for lunch time. Plus their daily teas are wonderful with a pump of the agave syrup at hand.

Such a cute place tucked into a small street in Orlando. The hummus definitely met up to the hype and we all really enjoyed our food! I also really enjoy anywhere that lets you customize salads/bowls. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Orlando!

This place is delight. Nestled right behind Colonial Drive. I ordered the black bean burrito with their guacamole made with peas. The burrito was very filling and yummy, with lots of flavor. It was my first trying guac made with peas and I was not disappointed. Also had an ice coffee that was great. They ask what kind of milk and sweetener/syrup you want. I thought that was very great.

Yoooooo, I ain’t no tree-hugger, but I’ve got a literal soft-spot in my heart(due to a medical anomaly my doctor’s are, to this day, baffled by) for Dandelion’s. Their food options are more-or-less vegan(I don’t go for the food, though their dessert sandwich is pretty fire), and they have pastry options readily available, but the true hero of this tiny, tranquil teahouse is… duh, the tea. With ever-changing flavors available, you can stop in and drink out of a mason jar like a real-life millennial or get a to-go cup and be on your merry, little way. The staff are a mixed bag, ranging from helpful to unkempt and off-putting, but since it’s an order-at-the-counter type establishment, any and all interactions with the employees are pretty limited. If you’re eating/drinking in, there are several cozy seating options inside at tables or on couches as well as breezy, shaded spots to sit outside in their Buddhist garden. If you are a vegan, Buddhist, peacekeeper, or activist, this place offers a warm and welcoming community. If you are none of the above, this place offers some pretty great people-watching opportunities as you slurp down what is quite possibly the closest thing to the liquid-ambrosia-of-the-Gods that Orlando has to offer.

Art shows and thunderstorms do not go well together. Whether it be a outside art show or a art exhibit in a restaurant with tight confines. Such as Dandelion Communitea Café. This was my first visit here, and I was disappointed. Not so much with Dandelion, but with the weather. A friend of mine had some art work on display for the First Wednesday Art Opening that is held monthly, and I was anxious to go, hearing about the good food that Dandelion serves. I also wanted to view the works of art on exhibit. With no end to the rain that fell upon Orlando all day Wednesday, everyone who came to Dandelion to either eat, check out the artwork, or do both, were forced to stay inside. This made for some rather cramp conditions throughout the restaurant. Especially in a hallway that even a Victoria’s Secret model would find to be narrow. With the crowded conditions, this made viewing the exhibit difficult. I eventually made my way back to the counter and took a look at their beer menu that a kind young lady working the counter handed me and ordered a can of Cigar City Jai Alai($ 5.00). With space becoming taken up by more patrons, I decided to have my beer outside on the front steps. Two young ladies also had the same idea, as we stood on the front steps thankful that there was a roof over our head. And with the weather making conditions inside even more cramp, some patrons just left since the wait for tables was long. As my friend said, the food is great as long as you don’t mind sitting at a table while an art patron strolls by your table. «I look at this painting, and I see the sorrow that the artist is trying to… Damn! That Black Bean Burrito looks really good!» Speaking of which, I would like to try that, the Summer of Love Rolls, or the chili the next time I am here. Which would be a sunny day sitting outside on their patio. You can view their menu online at their website. As for those diners with allergies, Dandelion has a list of items served that have ingredients for those with concerns. I would love to come back here again when it is not as crowded and the weather is cooperative. Especially on a First Wednesday and view the art on display. And a note to the art curator: If someone is trying to strike up a conversation with you, don’t blow them off. Their business should be appreciated.

I am a Dandelion addict. I live two streets away so there’s little stopping me from coming here almost every day. Make sure you try the iced tea of the day. I love any of the tropical or fruity teas. My favorite is Mango Peach. Ask for a to-go cup if you want to keep sippin’ post meal. :) Some of my favorite entrees include the Stir Fresh wrap(get it pressed!), the Abundant Harvest(bowl or wrap are both tasty), and the Tempeh, Lettuce and Tomato sandwich on sourdough. I like to switch around the dressings sometimes to keep the flavors new and interesting. Try the Curryous dressing! For sides – you can never go wrong with a cup of their delicious, hearty tempeh chili. The accompanying chips are perfect to dip or to use as crunchy crumbles! Their soup of the day is usually a hit or miss for me, though. I recommend trying the Curry Lentil when it’s available. I beg you to treat yourself to a Sea Salt Chocolate Chip cookie from the dessert case if they’re available. Seriously, they’re the best cookies I’ve ever had. The wait times can be pretty lengthy during lunch or other busy times. The staff is always friendly and helpful.

Everyone loves Dandelion and I can finally say that I’m one of them. Although it’s a bit pricey for my frugal tastes, it’s worth the money when you feel good about what you’re eating. I tried the Hummus appetizer and the Abundant Harvest salad with black bean dip on the side, and everything was fresh and delicious. And the guy who took our order was so nice! Oh, and I’m a hardcore meat lover, so don’t let the vegan/vegetarian label scare you off!

We had the butter nutter sandwich and the Portobello sandwich, both were delicious and decently priced. Very flavorful and a decent selection of sides. Great craft beers as well and a huge selection of teas! Beautiful decorations and a very mellow atmosphere! Only thing I didn’t like very much was that I ordered the sampler and expected a bit more than some chips and four small containers with guacamole, queso, beans, and don’t remember what the other one was. Service was very friendly and quick. Will come back again for sure!

Solid 3-stars. The food was fine, not spectacular and not horrible. It just seems not so inspired. I have the feeling that maybe their menu has not changed in forever. I’ll try it again, but I think they may need to up their game considering the number of really good vegetarian restaurants springing up in Orlando. Atmosphere(outside dining) was nice, although the chairs will challenge your back’s comfort. Service was good.

I love dandelion! Seriously everything about them is great. The buffalo 66 is amazing and you should definitely try it. BUT just recently I came in to grab a meal for myself to go. Just one meal and sadly it took exactly 26 minutes to get it. I would understand if it was busy, I’ve been there when it’s busy and that would be understandable but it wasn’t even busy. Please don’t take so long to get to go orders out, definitely makes me not want to come here(even though I love the place).

Love love love Dandelion. From the quirkiness of the house, to the great staff who works there, to the wonderful food. I’ve never had a bad experience and bring my friends and family from out of town here. It’s a nice side street gem. I will say that on some days, it feels like the Hunger Games of Parking Spots. Besides that, I love this place.

So this is a place definitely made with the ideals of being vegan friendly and relaxed. It lives up to good food portions and decent tea(the tea of the day that reminded me of coffee creamer after having such a lovely bloom of peony tea really threw me for a loop) and provides a pocket of escape from both the hustle and bustle of the area. It also seems to be a heavy attractor of yoga wearing customers at a certain hour(which isn’t bad but threw me for another loop as the peaceful atmosphere slowly transformed into a lively café). I would say this place is an acquired taste, if not by atmosphere then by crowd. 3.5 for me.

Living in Vegas, we have so many options for vegan/vegetarian restaurants, I guess we’re almost spoiled! My friend and I went here since we were in town for the WDW marathon — it was a very cute setup. It’s very close quarters — and set up in what seems like an old house. We sat in the room near the bathroom(since we didn’t want to listen to the music), and ordered several items that were recommended. My friend and I both got the buffalo tempeh wrap(forget the name) and my other friend got the portobello sandwich. We shared some nachos. It was just OK, nothing spectacular, but just alright. Probably will not visit again on our next trip. We enjoyed Market on South much more.

Shortly after I went gluten-free, I found this place while visiting Orlando and fell in love! If you’re looking for a fresh, healthy, and light meal, this is it. It has a quaint, eclectic, hippie vibe. They have lots of healthier versions of classic dishes(summer rolls, quesadillas, etc.) All of the choices can be a bit overwhelming at first, especially if you’re new to these ingredients, but they have an online menu you can check out beforehand. They also have a wide variety of teas, coffee, and drinks such as yerba mate, kombucha, and your classic green/black/white/herbal teas. It was pretty easy to find a seat when I went, but it quickly got filled up as we sat. They also have outdoor seating as well.

We wanted vegetarian, after trying two places that were closed, we « UnilocalED» yes it’s now a verb in our family. We were elated. We sat outside and enjoyed the food and weather. It was Monday and we were hungry so we tried several items from the menu. We started with side sampler«yum» and so the journey started. The Giddyup is $ 9.00 but, on Mondays it’s only $ 5.00 is a bargain for what you get. The FLT on the menu Fakin(bacon), Lettuce & Tomato absolutely delicious. My little grand-daughter got the Fluffer Nutter, oh what a pleasant surprize. She was delighted. She wouldn’t share until full. The teas and brews were very good. We felt the prices were fair and reasonable. My wife and I felt that we raise the average age by several years. But, we didn’t feel out of place, nice people and excellent food.

Atmosphere: homey, quaint, a little cramped when it’s busy but lots of outdoor seating. Great for groups less than 4. Food: fresh, made to order, flavorful, and just delicious! Worth your omnivorous time. Service: everyone is generally really nice and is willing to help. Good food, good service. I always go during Mondays for their Giddy Up special(vegan chili dish– $ 5 instead of $ 9) with the green goddess dressing on the side($ 1). For the side I ask for carrot sticks(instead of blue tortilla chips) and hummus. Their hummus is incredible. Treat yo’self and do it. I’ve had their Bean There, Done That wrap and it just wasn’t as good. A little bland to me, but maybe it’s because the beans kinda blanched out the rest of the ingredients. They also sell baked goods from Rhapsodic Bakery just down the street! Nice little choice for some dessert.

Orlando is home to so many new restaurants it can make an Orlandoan’s head spin. Every where you look there is a new concept, a new Chef in town, a new this or that. What about these places that have become an established mainstay in town? Do people still flock to the old school restaurants? The answer is yes. Orlando is a town of many personalities and there is a place here for everybody. A little restaurant has been operating for many years now in an old house from the 1920’s close to downtown. Dandelion Communitea Café — a place where local hippies, artistic types and health nuts can find a meal that is both organic and Vegetarian. I always start with the side sampler appetizer where I can get a taste of all the best Dandelion has to offer. A plate of organic blue corn chips served with a sampling of black bean salsa, vegan queso, red salsa and whirled pea guacamole. A small but perfect sampling of the creative vegan and vegetarian fare offered here. My dining companion Chad’s favorite dish is the black bean burrito. There is no skimping on this tortilla stuffed with an abundance of black beans, tomatoes, corn, quinoa, red onions, peppers and cilantro, red salsa and the whirled peas guacamole. He also always chooses hummus as his side dish. The Dandelion happy hempy hummus is consistently voted«Best in Orlando» by the readers of Orlando Weekly newspaper. I often order a quinoa bowl or a wrap, but lately I have been loving the Buffalo 66 bowl. Cashew encrusted tempeh tenders layered over a bed of spring mix with carrots, celery and red onion. Served with a side of buffalo sauce and the Vegan blue cheese dressing has me craving this bowl all the time. Even the biggest fan of chicken wings would enjoy this meal. I also love the variety of soups that are offered on a daily basis, one of my favorites being the creamy tomato. And lastly, perhaps you noticed the CommuniTEA in the restaurant’s name? Dandelion is a teahouse offering both a hot and a cold tea of the day. There is a very large selection of black, white, green, herbal and oolong teas. One of my favorites is the Sunshine Daydream Tea– a super blend of cranberries, chamomile, rooibos, rose hips, hibiscus and orange peel. So good! One last thing– be prepared for a line at the counter, though it does move fast. There are three dining rooms inside and one with umbrellas out front but the tables fill up very quickly during prime dining hours. Also, check out the Vegan baked goods and the Monday special — $ 5 giddyup wraps made with tempeh chili and vegan queso. There is a reason why Dandelion Communitea Café is also consistently voted«Best Vegetarian» in Orlando, also by the readers of Orlando Weekly.

Vegan or non-vegan, you need to check out Dandelion Café. Particularly if you’re a health-conscience individual looking for some tasty noms. I in no way consider myself a vegan but this is still one of my favorite lunch spots. The food is amazing — always so fresh. The Eve’s Revenge wrap with spring mix and quinoa is my go-to. The also have a good selection of yummy teas. Dandelion is located just close enough to Downtown Orlando to be convenient for the business lunch crowd. It’s actually quite interesting to go there for lunch and people watch. You get the working crowd in business suits who drop in during their lunch break, as well as the hipster crowd. Worlds collide. It’s pretty cool. The restaurant itself is very eclectic. Definitely fits in with the vibe of the nearby Mills 50 district. They also have live music and other fun events after-hours, which I’ve never actually checked out. But it’s on my «to-do» list Check the calendar on their website for deets!

Dandelions is one of my new venues to experience. Been there a few times now and love it. I can get a nice healthy meal that leaves me feeling full for the rest of the day, without feeling like I over ate. I have tried the grilled cheese which is not your moms grilled cheese, this one is superb. I also had their mushroom sandwich, which to be honest have had it more than once, and it hits the spot every time. It is so very delicious. Their hummus is also another one of my favs. Next time will try the burrito, as everyone rants about that. The atmosphere is fun and enlightening. They have a couple out door seating areas, which are always a nice oasis from the city environment. The staff is always cheerful and friendly and quick to serve. Oh, they have several herb teas that are very delicious and always a quench from the heat.

Came here for the first time for a September dinner with my vegan relatives who come often. I can see why they love it. Everything was super fresh, creative and yummy! I had the Bean There Done That on Greens and it’s a TON of beans. My favorite part? Pea Guacamole! Even better than it sounds, and it can be had as a «side» here. Even the one-year-old loved it. Son’s Buffalo 66 wrap looked great and he very much enjoyed it. Even the iced tea was fresh and delicious. Note this is in a small house and very popular. We had a short wait, but it was worth it.

This place is great if you are looking for something healthy. You won’t even realize that you are! I ordered the Giddy Up. It was a lot more than I bargain for, but each bite was delicious! It was a bit on the heavier side with the chili. You also get a side, which I chose hummus and it was amazing! I’d have to go again and try everything else on the menu. lol They also serve great blends of tea, which I really enjoyed. They also have a tea of the day which you can get unlimited of. Its a very cute space but can also get very packed quick, so I’d advise to avoid the lunch hour rush.

Hold up, how have I not reviewed Dandelion yet considering I go at least once a month?! Shame on me! And shame on you if you haven’t stopped by Orlando’s best vegetarian/vegan restaurant. We’re talking sandwiches, soups, salads, bowls & a chili that will make you thank the heavens you live in Orlando. Can you tell I love this place?! As if the food wasn’t reason enough the ambiance in Dandelion is awesome. It’s a converted house with different rooms to sit in, very quaint & intimate. They have an array of games for you to play while you’re visiting, a great spot to catch up with friends & enjoy the Orlando scene. Go to Dandy!

One of my favorite places to go in Orlando besides Disney of course… It’s organic, local, homemade and has the most amazing sandwich called Fluffer Nutter– almond butter, bananas and rice-mellow fluff with local honey or vegan chocolate. This place is cute and quaint. Its a 1920’s house with cute little dine in areas, a front patio for outdoor seating, herb gardens and edible landscapes… lots of teas, lots of love and peace and peace and love… you get it! Its earth friendly, animal friendly and who doesn’t love anyone or anything that promotes good?!?
