Mech-​Tech Institute Orlando is a state-​of-​the-​art trade school that provides students with innovative and hands-​on courses in metals, electricity, mechanics, refrigeration, and electronics.

History

Established in 1984.

Mech-​Tech Institute is a Higher Education and Technical Institution which mission is to educate and re-​educate youths and adults with the competencies necessary to compete for employment opportunities that can emerge in these fields. It received its authorizing operating license in July 1984 and commenced operations in September 1984 in the City of Caguas, Puerto Rico with a group of one hundred and two students in a basic and general education course.

On March 1985, three (3) technical courses began: Electromechanics, Automatic Transmissions and Automotive Mechanics. The following courses were added afterwards: Diesel Mechanics, Automotive Mechanics with Computerized Fuel Injection, Automotive Electromechanics, Automotive Technician, Automotive Mechanics Technician, Industrial Electricity, Industrial Electromechanics, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, Industrial Electronics, General Mechanics (Turnery) and Tool & Die Maker.

If I could give this school negative stars I would. The school is fine and the instructors are fine, but registration is HORRIBLE! Isabell Rivera should not have a job. She refuses to do her job and help out a US Navy Veteran who is trying to use his GI Bill to go to school. She has had my husband’s paperwork for over a month and refuses to submit it to the VA. Every time she is asked about it she has a worse attitude than the time before and gives another excuse why it is not done. I have left several messages for her and her supervisor which all go unanswered. I have even called the corporate office in Puerto Rico and instead of her just doing her job all she did was yell at my husband claiming that there was no need for me to get her boss involved.
