EXCELLENT Company! Every aspect of this business has exceeded our expectations. From MaryAnn at the Business office, to Chris (owner), to the crew, all were very knowledgeable, professional and kind. The job was estimated and completed within one week. The process the was smooth and efficient and the communication was top notch. I had several questions regarding radon and mitigation, which Chris and MaryAnn answered, based on extensive knowledge. My only regret in this process, is not doing it sooner. Radon is dangerous, the test is simple and inexpensive, the mitigation system is affordable and well worth the peace of mind for me and my family. I encourage everyone to test their homes. First and foremost, THANKS!!! What a great company. found out from neighbors moving, that they had high radon levels in the house. So we decided to test. Initially came back at 14.8. Holy Cow! Re-​tested and came back little lower but not much. I have passed the Guardian truck many times on my way to work. Not thinking I would ever need them. But, thanks to them and their great workers and office staff, we have re-​tested and now are below .4!!! Wow and thanks to a great company. I would recommend them to any and all who need mitigation… Thanks again

Best home repair /​maintenance experience I’ve ever had. Chris and Mary Anne provide excellent customer service; they seem to be genuinely friendly people. Price-​wise, they came in cheaper than the other quote I got. In addition to converting my radon mitigation system from passive to active, they also encapsulated my crawl space for a very reasonable fee. I was aware of some things that could come up during installation that would increase the cost, none of which occurred. Chris could have claimed that the complications existed and I would have been none the wiser. This demonstrates the honesty by which Chris conducts business. I also bounced a basic electrical question off of him, which he was happy to answer. His desire to ensure customer satisfaction is clearly exhibited with every action he takes. I highly recommend Guardian for your radon and electrical needs.

WOW! Wasn’t expecting much, but they responded quickly and with a great price, way lower than I was expecting after doing my homework. After the install everything looks clean and neat, some of my neighbors have ugly white PVC pipes strapped to the side of their houses, but mine just looks like another gutter drain in the corner, the color even matches my siding! Very nice people, explained everything and even replaced my sump cover which was a loose scrap of metal with a caulked and sealed replacement at no extra charge. Would HIGHLY recommend. This is the team you want.

Mary Anne, Chris, and their team couldn’t have been friendlier or more professional. Their bid for our radon mitigation came in slightly under the over-​the-​phone quote Mary Anne gave me, and it was better than other companies in the area. Chris and his team took the time to make sure the system was not only functional, but that it was placed in an area that would not detract from the aesthetics of our home. The vent pipe is a perfect match to our siding. The mitigation system itself is quiet and effective. We were at a 4.8 and are now down to near a 1.0. Great product, even better people!

I have never been so excited to write a review about the most unglamorous $ 2500 I’ve ever spent.
We signed a contract on a home in September, and during the inspection we also did a radon test. The levels in the basement, and above the crawl space, were both about 9.0 pcil. The «standard» or «acceptable» level by the EPA is 4.0 — that’s the long story short without getting all scientific.
I decided to get my own quote, and I contacted 3 different companies. One company never responded, one company did quote me slightly less than Guardian, but they were unable to promise the needed results due to the tiny crawl space. Guardian, on the other hand, gave me a quote and made me feel confident that they could do the job, and do the job right.
From the start, Mary Ann was friendly and professional. Scheduling the estimate was easy, and she later walked me through the estimate by each line item to explain all of the fan and suction point jeeba-​jubba of the mitigation system.
Chris and his team (I think there were 3 guys working on our home altogether) were equally amazing. They showed up bright and early and had the job done in a few hours. They didn’t make much noise and cleaned up before they left. By the time my husband got home, it was as if they were never even there (except the presence of a new mitigation system).
We received the results of our re-​tests today, and I’m happy to report that our levels are now 1.2 (basement) and .9 (crawl space). Yay!
Disclaimer: Before you freak out at the $ 2500 price tag, that is not the cost of an AVERAGE mitigation system. Our home is 100 years old, needed work in a basement AND crawl space, and there were some extra fans and drill points involved — but all of that was CLEARLY explained to me when Mary Ann reviewed the quote. There were no surprises on the day the mitigation system was installed.

Chris and Mary Anne with Guardian were fantastic. I would and do recommend them to anyone who is going to be finishing their basement to get the radon out. The customer service was second to none. Great people, work, and company. Thank you for a fresh basement!

Mike was thorough, courteous, and professional. The prices were much better than competitors and the system Guardian installed perfectly blended with the trim on our house. They’re also licensed electricians. Highly recommended.

I cannot say thank you enough to Guardian Radon Mitigation! We were extremely impressed with their professionalism from the moment I first call to the day our system was installed! Chris came out and explained everything thoroughly and quoted us on a new system, within a week it was installed and working! After talking with friends the other day they too mentioned what a wonderful company Guardian is to deal with. There business practice if fantastic and I look forward to recommending them in the future.
Tip. I was concerned about the new color of our system on the outside of our home and they did an exact match that looks identical and blends extremely well!

Best experience I’ve had with anyone since buying my new home. Not only did they work with my husbands need to have the mitigation be visually aesthetic but they were also great at explaining what everything was and how it worked. I just got my radon retest back and my levels have dropped from 9.4 to .8! I couldn’t be more pleased. They were the most amazing company and they guys who installed the mitigation were absolutely fantastic! Hopefully I won;t need them again but if I do I won’t hesitate to call.

I just wanted to update everybody on my retest after Guardian put the mitigation system in.
The house before the mitigation system tested at 29.8 pCi/​L… And after the system, it tested at .3 pCi/​L.
(Anything over 4.0 pCi/​L needs to be fixed)! Thanks to Guardian were not surrounded by poison anymore!

Chris came to our house on short notice, and patiently waited for me (I was delayed by 20 minutes). I was embarrassed for my tardiness but was still greeted with a large smile, which made me at ease right away. Chris did a very fair estimate, and was at my house 2 days later to install the system and put me at ease. Great service, great attitudes, great communication, great price. I highly recommend this company.

They did a fantastic job putting the system in my basement. They left my basement clean after putting the radon system in. They were helpful with questions, personable, and hardworking. I would highly recommend them to everyone!

I just had a very poor experience with Guardian radon in Oswego, Illinois. The customer service was horrible. I do not recommend them at all.

We had a Radon mitigation system installed by Guardian. I sought 3 different estimates because that’s what they say to do. We chose Guardian after meeting Chris the owner. He was so knowledgable and friendly, our calls were returned within an appropriate timeframe, and gave me better options of where the somewhat intrusive system could be placed without taking up half my basement ceiling where the others didn’t. The day of installation they showed up on time, there were 2 other men with him as he said there would be. They were all very friendly, knowledgable and professional as well. The system was installed without any problems and they cleaned up as he said they would. Cost wise, they are pretty much right in the same ball park if not a little cheaper. Chris made suggestions that could help contain the cost for my budget too. Just an honest guy. I would use Guardian again and would definitely recommend them in the future to my friends and family.

I can’t remener ever dealing with a company that provided such first class customer service. From the first call to the final installation we were treated like we were the only customer. My sincere thanks and my sincere compliments to everyone at Guardian as I would recommend them to anyone and everyone. As an FYI our radon level was 26. When Guardian finished I had basement tested again and it was 0.6!!! Excellent customer service, superior results, reasonable price.

My experience with Guardian Radon Mitigation was a very positive one.
We were in the process of trying to purchase a home and during the inspection elevated Radon levels were found. I asked around to some of my trusted sources I was referred to Guardian. After speaking with Mary Anne I felt very comfortable that this was the correct company for us. She took care of all the details for me; setting up the time with the current home owners to get the estimate done, forwarding all the documents to everyone that needed them (realtors, lawyers, both sets of home owners), contacting me after we closed on the house to set up the appointment, and scheduling a third party company to come and do the retest after the system was installed. With everything else that was stressful with trying to close on the house, she was a huge help.
The install process went very smoothly. They were prompt and professional and explained the whole process to me as they went. They took the time to make sure the system was in a spot that was out of the way and looked as attractively as it could. After they were finished, they left the area cleaner than when they arrived.
I would definitely recommend using Guardian. If you do, a small tip that may help you out; Pay attention to what shirts Chris and Bob are wearing, unless they were standing next to each other, I was having a tough time keeping track of which one was which.
