CBC Federal Credit Union

This is an updated rating based on the responsiveness of Candice Aragon in addressing an earlier negative review of CBC Federal the next day! Candice did some research into my parents’ situation and contacted me within the day to advise me that the issue would be addressed and fees reimbursed. Having worked in previous service-​oriented businesses, it is inevitable errors will be made by employees, but how those errors are handled to correct them speaks volumes about an organization. Additionally, the bank is working to improve transparency and accessibility to mortgage loans. My confidence for my parents to continue banking with CBC Federal is restored!

This is in response to Candice’s reply. The max limit was not the issue. The issue was your employee suggesting I was a thief and calling my mother an idiot basically while we were trying to withdraw the funds. The account executive helping us initially understood and knew what we were trying to do because we already discussed it with her. Annette came in and didn’t ask any questions and ignored me. When I spoke and told her what my mother wanted she said she was trying to protect the elderly who are getting taking advantage of by the children… Wtf??? Are you serious. My mother got upset and said I could speak for her since I knew what she wanted. Annette went as far as to say they normally have anyone not on the account step out when discussing the account, so basically didn’t follow your credit unions procedures also. So here is the problem. Your assistant manager did not follow company policy, called me a thief basically, and my mother and idiot. I would rather not have someone like her being placed in charge of others or training junior members. If you like you can leave your number and we can discuss this further, if not we can continue to on Unilocal.Either way is fine with me.

Been banking here for as long as I know, on my credit union card it says, «member since 2000». So, I like this bank. When there was fraud on my debit card, refunded same day. When I lost my debit card, replaced same day. When I had an issue which charges, fixed same day. Tellers are professional, courteous and efficient. Love the drive thru ATM machine. Inside bank if lines are long for face to face tellers they have an ATM where you can talk to a teller on a TV screen and send your transactions thru a capsule of some sort. Oh did I mention, I also have my auto loan thru here as well. Only gave a 4 star because we went to open my daughter her first bank account and we waited almost an hour, granted we went on a Friday at 300pm. But at least someone should of checked in on us sitting on the couch, we almost fell asleep!

Great service, great rates. I was told that this was one of the few banks that had zero foreclosures.
They only give loans were they limit risk to themselves AND the consumer, They have my vote for number 1. there only closes compeition is Navy Credit Union but I like these guys better!

I have been banking with CBC since 2010 and my experience has been nothing short of excellent. My credit was less than stellar when I opened my account. Immediately, my car was refinanced (one payment left), established a great rapport with them, took out another loan, and was approved for a line if credit.
I have been with USAA since 2001, done business with Navy Federal and neither of them can compare with CBCFCU. I am going to switch my direct deposit to CBC.
Over the years I have simply grown comfortable with USAA but my business with them has not done anything to better my credit, and the $ 1000 credit limit is costing me an annual fee of $ 75 (not worth it) but my line of credit with CBC is considerably larger with NO annual fee. I want to recommend this institution to all of my family.

Fail. Walked into this place to ask a question and the lady at the front desk was talking on the phone. It was obvious that we wanted to ask a question but we were completely ignored. She didn’t even acknowledge us or even let us know that she would be right with us. If customer service is like this, no thanks. Just go to Navy Federal down the street. They treat you better there.

The majority of my interaction was over the phone with Jennifer and then Sylvia, and then in the Thousand Oaks location with Sarah and Jeannine.
Jennifer contacted me after I had made my initial application, and she offered me options that I was not even aware were options.
These were options that not only made my life easier and would work to improve our credit rating, but also were expedited by everyone at CBC that touched this effort, as we had a very tight deadline in which to complete this.
I cannot say enough, how accommodating and willing everyone that I dealt with was.
Not only was I informed what DMV forms were needed to be completed by a different credit union, but also advice on which DMV generally had the shortest lines, as well as advice on how to easily locate the CBC branch in Thousand Oaks.
You found a way to help us when we Really needed it! And in doing so, you gave us options that we did not even know existed.
We are going to have a great time with my step-​daughters visiting from the Philippines and enjoy peace of mind during their visit, in a large part, because of your efforts!
Honestly, the ONLY way this experience could have better is if you served trays of Bacon to customers, and offered them a second helping!

Not my bank, but when in with a friend so he could get some information on a consolidation loan and they basically ripped him a new one. But in the nicest way possible, the account services lady was really nice. Highly stylish and had a nice wedding ring. But over all good and efficient service, we just walked in and he explained what he wanted to do and she knew exactly what to say at that moment in time. she was funny too… i think her name was daisy lol

I love this bank. I have been banking with them since I was 18. They are very friendly at all of the sights and they really cater to all of your needs. They have the best loan rates. Go to any auto dealer in the area. Credit unions are the way to go.
I have never had any issue with them. Only reason I don’t give them five stars is because you can’t find any branch outside of the area.
